"It's Me or The Dog" on Sky3 is my current favourite programme. Closely followed by "America's Next Top Model"... I believe Huskies are very intelligent and need loads of exercise and mental stimulation to help control their potentially boisterous behaviour. Will there be someone at home to look after him/her during the day, as I think this is important for this type of dog, even more so for a puppy.

All the bmps I've tried are 24 bit though... This is going to defeat me I think. Unless anyone can offer some advice? EDIT: Reading this, amongst other articles on the web, it appears that what I'm trying to achieve can't be done.

Same here. I wrote it to a new dll on my desktop then replaced the file in system32, however now the Win7 machine boots to a black screen with mouse cursor... Thank VM for snapshot though eh!?

I'm probably being blind here, but I can't seem to extract/export the bmp file out of the authui.dll using Resedit. I can't seem to find the command to do this... Any pointers?

Latest little irksome problem I've run in to is the Default User Account picture that displays at the login screen. I've created an 128x128 user.bmp file and copied it into c:\ProgramData\Microsoft\User Account Pictures\ I've enabled the correct option in GPO - Computer Config > Administrative Templates > Control Panel > User Accounts - "Apply the default logon picture to all users" I've checked the corresponding registry entry on the Windows 7 machine, which indicates that the setting is being pulled down. HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer - "UseDefaultTile=1" Now, whomever I log on as, has the correct icon at the top of the start menu http://www.lordswoodgirls.co.uk/files/startmenu.jpg but (and more importantly for me) there is a blank frame at the logon screen http://www.lordswoodgirls.co.uk/files/loginscreen.jpg Am I asking too much for the default user.bmp to be used here too? On another note, can anyone tell me the name of the MMC snap-in that lets you see what settings from Group Policy are applied to your PC?

They'll be about 5 bands I imagine - not had the final deets yet. If you add yourself to our facebook group or myspace page, then we send out all the info via those means closer to the date. Typically, we're impossible to pigeon hole!! But I guess we're a mash of indie, rock, folk, funk, with some prog and blues mixed in. Not to sound like a dick (prob too late!!), but it's best to give us a listen when you get the chance as everyone we speak to draws comparisons with different bands. Sorry for going so off-topic everyone!!

I'm using a Vox Valvetronix atm and I don't go anywhere near the on board effects. I'm looking for something a little more "organic". Versatility is not a big factor for me. I use a Boss GT8 for my fx, but I'm even thinking of moving away from that. There's no substitute for great tone. Would be cool if you came to our brum gig, although as it's for the national competiton "Surface Unsigned", the tickets are a little pricey (£6); which really irks us as a band. Not trying to put you off, but just a friendly heads-up. What kind of music do you play (I'm guessing quite rocky?)

Crikey - how many screens you got running that?

About 3 months ago, I too wanted to move away from touchscreen phones after suffering the LG Cookie for a few months. I wanted a QWERTY so went for a Nokia E71. I'm well chuffed with it and the deal I got. £30 a month on a 12 month unlimited txt, unlimited internet and 300 mins contract. Built in satnav, push email and an ever growing app store (Ovi). I think the E72 is now available which wasn't when I upgraded. My next move will hopefully be into the world of Android, having played around with my mates HTC Hero. However I don't want to be reliant on using a touchscreen and would ideally like a pop-out qwerty. But over the next 9 months I'm sure more and more Android phones will become available. My advice would be that once you've decided on a phone model or two, phone up and speak to Vodafone. That's what I did, and it's where you'll get the best deal (12 month contracts etc). If not, threaten to leave and they'll soon pull out all stops to keep you on their books.

Yeah, that's what I did initially. I use PDF XViewer, which is also a freebie and seems stable.

Could you elaborate please mate? I got the reg file working. It didn't like being run from a network location, so I copied it to the desktop and ran it from there.
