This article on Kotaku doesn't suggest its gone well.

That was always going to happen and even if they had enough servers there is still going to be bugs and stuff which the internal testing has not caught. Leave it a week or two before trying if you want a fairly bug free experience. As for EVE Online if you fly around with a hold full of PLEX (the only item in the game you buy with real money) in Lowsec, your just asking for trouble.

[sims] SQL 2012 Migration Planning Advice - Posted on SupportNet
Ghostgame replied to Rawns's topic in MIS Systems
If you have not installed S3 already I would wait until after you have done the migration. It just means you then don't have to change all the settings afterwards and then use the tool in S3 to migrate the S3 database as well. -
So true e.g. Fable - " we're working on realtime tree growth" (that one was hilarious) What I have seen so far is good and it will be interesting to see what else will be included in the other 60% of the game.

Via Steam - did see that bug was supposed to be fixed but did not work for me
-
For the short time I played it, really enjoyed it. I did get kicked out when I lost connection to the server so have not fully experienced the game.
-
Just typing tech support memes into Google images search had me rolling on the ground.

The S3 agent should tell the server what version SIMS/FMS is. If the version is different from what the server has got it should automatically update the workstation. If the workstation has the upgrade, its skipped.

Support for S2 is supposed to be dropped after the Spring 2014 update according to the latest technical roadmap. This of course might be pushed back.

Wow, that is really out of date. Latest version of Solus3 is 3.6.92. I would start by getting hold of that installer. Then uninstall S3 via Programs and features and install S3 using the latest version. That should hopefully solve the majority of the issues with S3. Then I would make sure that all the workstations either have their firewall off or these port exceptions. Windows Firewall: Define port exceptions 52965:TCP:LocalSubnet:Enabled: SOLUS 3 Deployment Server 52966:TCP:LocalSubnet:Enabled:SOLUS 3 Agent 8739:TCP:LocalSubnet:Enabled:SOLUS 3 Agent Notifier UI Windows Firewall: Allow remote administration exception Above all make sure they do not have any DNS issues. Personally I would also uninstall any existing S3 agents from the workstations as well and start totally from scratch. From my point of view I very much like S3. It gives me alot of information and a bit more access without needing to involve the customer. This can be the difference between a 10 minute job and a half an hour job. The only issue I have got with it is that it is not stable enough in my opinion but that issue is getting better with every release. I hope this is helpful and I'm sure if my advice is rubbish it will get corrected

You need to right click on SIMS .net and select run as administrator The first time you run SIMS .net you need to make it run as local admin or it won't create the connect.ini.

I think they are trying to justify that extra $100. Would be better if they justified why we have to pay that extra for the kinect. If they actually focused on doing that I think they would more easily persuaded the people on the fence to get an Xbox One

The fix works for the automation error, so hopefully it will work for you. I know what you mean, makes no sense. School I had dealt with had cloned the SIMS folder on 4 machines for their exam officers. Only 1 out of the 4 did not work.

Reinstall SIMS .net using SIMSApplicationSetup.exe SOLUS3 does not work frustratingly. Don't need to uninstall the infrastructure first or SIMS .net. Don't ask my why that works, it just does. Just sorted out the same issue this evening.

S3 issue fixed for me now. Is anyone else finding that it is working now?
-
Just out of interest, what error message do people get when they try and re-register SOLUS3 UI? I am getting this
-
Could always be a bit more direct and ring them
-
As the man says, let them know.
-
Keep trying. Its been intermittent for me in that sometimes it works, sometimes it don't. Just keep trying until it does.
-
I wonder if this issue will be fixed before the release the new version of SOLUS3. Its going to be a tad hard to upgrade everyone's SOLUS3 if you can't authorise it.

Just in Le Edit: Well, despite this still having the same problems
