  1. @howartp That's a much better explanation than mine!
  2. You can drag down. If there are any cell references you don't want to change you need to "anchor" them by putting a $ in front of the figure you don't want to change - so if you want to reference B1 every time for example, use $B$1 in the formula. It might help if you showed us the formula you are working with in your screenshot - press CTRL+` (the key next to the 1) to show them.
  3. If the grade is input into A1 then =IF((AND(A1>=1,A1<=8)),"U") will put U into whichever cell you put it.
  4. No strange characters in the name, sharepoint.com is trusted. It's the Cover folder, which, by design, is used offsite - staff upload cover work if they are absent.
  5. Internet Explorer 11 - I discounted the browser being an issue when they also had a problem when opening the library with Explorer. To explain further - the library has a number of folders in it, but only one folder seems to have the problem. I have deleted and recreated that folder, which has the same permissions as all the other folders.
  6. Anyone?
  7. As I read it all staff desktops are redirected to \\server\desktop\%username% (just as an example, if I've guessed the correct path I'm in the wrong job) ? They each have modify permissions on their personal desktop? The GPO you've created, does it create the shortcut on \\server\desktop\%username%, or on Desktop? If it's on desktop, it's probably creating it on the All Users desktop, as mentioned above. Tweak your GPO to copy the shortcut to their personal desktop, on the server. Hold on, just had a thought - if you use a GPO, and the teacher deletes the shortcut, next time they log on it will be recreated. I can see that getting annoying.
  8. Some of our users are having intermittent issues uploading files to a Sharepoint library. The group they are in has contribute, no delete rights, and I've tried giving them individual rights, up to Full Control, but it makes no difference. It looks like the files are present, but on inspection they are 0kb. They are more successful when uploading individual files than when opening with explorer and copying up a number, but it's not guaranteed that upload will work. It seems to be one particular Document Library that is affected, but I can't see anything different about it.
  9. I'm already a member, based at a school in Rotherham - though one of our MAT is in Derbyshire.
  10. At my last school the caretakers house was converted into a hair salon, where we taught C&G Hairdressing. At my current school it is now the Alternative Provision area - we teach horticulture there.
  11. Permissions are right - other things roam, and settings are written back to the store. Your template is different to mine, so I'll give that a go.
  12. I have the sticky notes template, which is the program we are testing at the moment, but nothing seems to roam.
  13. WHile UEV appears to be working (I've not had any complaints, any way!) However, I've just noticed that the majority of settings are stored in the local appdata - only Cortana and Outlook are written back to the server location. Obviously, as we are using local profiles only, the local app data doesn't roam, so how are the settings?
  14. I'm trying to create a package for Adobe Acrobat. We have a per device licence model, and I have successfully created packages for all the other CC applications we're licenced for. From what I can work out from the Adobe help files, I use the CC Customiser for Acrobat in the same way I did for all the other apps. and then use the Acrobat customiser to apply any changes. However, trying to install it always asks for a serial number - there isn't one. Is there a strange secret society I need to belong to to obtain such a serial number for a per device install? I've been round n circles on the Adobe site. I hope to use SCCM to deploy the program. Help!!
  15. I have that configured - they can't open cmd prompt - however, they can browse the C drive by clicking "show file location"
  16. Prevent access to drive breaks OneDrive. We do have hide specific drives enabled.
  17. I've blocked Cortana using Applocker. It was late yesterday, so I'm testing further today. Now to turn off the Store (the GPO to disable the store is correct, but it's still there)
  18. I've now hit the same issue. I've disabled Cortana in the GPO, but it still allows me to search for files like cmd.exe, and show the file location. Disabling access to the C drive breaks OneDrive, which we use extensively. Any ideas?
  19. @Katy Yes, Impero unlocks the session.
  20. Impero allows me to unlock machines if required. If I need to log on as them I change their password (and let them know I've done so) I would never maintain a list of user passwords.
  21. Students have no rights to save to or read from the C drive anyway, exam or not. It is hidden by GPO. The only place they can save is in their My Documents folder, which is on the server. At the end of the exam I access these folders, remove their work for forwarding to the exam board, if required, and archive it. The user areas are then cleared for the next exam.
  22. This resolved itself before I removed the user's profile. I hate it when that happens!
  23. I have no idea - my daughter's hosting and doing all the cooking. I'm very happy - she's a better cook than me. She usually themes Christmas Eve - last year was a Mexican feast, traditional for Christmas dinner, though she does do three separate stuffings (last year, apricot and pork under the skin, sausagemeat in the crop, and sage and onion in the cavity) and cold cuts and salad on Boxing Day. I expect to wake from my food induced coma around the 28th.
  24. Sorry @FishCustard, I edited my original post before I saw yours. I don't think it's the tempSimsRpt folder, as that travels with her to the unaffected machine.
  25. One user is getting the attached error when running reports in SIMS I have unticked the "Open e-mail attachments and other uneditable files in reading view" option in Word, as my googling told me to, but she still gets the error. Other users can run the report without issue. Any ideas? Edited to add - the affected user can run the reports on another computer.
