  1. Only problem with self build machines @pcstru is that they would be wholly unsuitable to take into a classroom, so you would have to keep it in a secure area and show the children in small groups. At least with an enclosed one, you can leave it printing in classrooms knowing that the kids won't hurt themselves with it.
  2. PS - you can get the ROBOX printer cheaper than I paid here - Makerspace_Sept16
  3. So the software I have tells me how much it costs... I had a look at the Da Vinci Mini... check this review out and then look at the user review... https://www.cnet.com/uk/products/xyzprinting-da-vinci-jr-3d-printer/review/ One of my issues with the Ultimaker was the print bed and having issues with it. I can't imagine the amount of problems you would get with the print bed on the da vinci!! He had to use GLUE!!

I might visit the driving range this weekend. It's just got a short game area, so if the weather is OK might have a do at that!
  5. Now hearing that makes me want to get the Sun one.... #hipster
  6. I'm gonna buy this if we don't move house before christmas! I was talking to one of the kids here and he was getting the Sun version because it's set during the day. I'd be more swaying towards the moon version myself though!
  7. Well went to the gym last night with a work colleague and we did legs... omg so hard to walk today o.O Started with squats, then leg press, leg extensions, hamstring curls, deadlifts and calf raises. Was pleasantly surprised at the weights I could still do.
  8. Do you have any codes? Sometimes if you recommend a friend they will send you free coffee
  9. I'd say 20 minutes isn't long enough. Try leaving one over night without the battery and make sure it isn't plugged in. Discharge any power by pressing the power button while unplugged. You need to make sure there is no power at all throughout the board, otherwise it won't work.
  10. To be honest, I don't think there is a wrong way with iPads because the right way is so inconsistent. It's good to get loads of solutions down though! I'm just glad I don't have to do this for a while again. How often do you guys completely wipe and start afresh? I do it about once a year.
  11. you won't be giving them a domain account though... just an e-mail address?
  12. Hahahah!! Knowing my luck it will happen more than once!
  13. Right, so I need to ask Father Christmas for an Aeropress then.... I know that my friend once scalded myself from being a bit too enthusiastic with his.... anyone done that?
  14. Yeah what I do is wipe, prepare and supervise with AC, apply blueprints which includes apps which are purchased with VPP and then a profile adding them to our MDM. I don't tend to use the MDM for apps because it asks for an Apple ID to install the app (even though all of the VPP info is in there!). I use the MDM to lock down. I have an apple server for app caching on site. I'm pretty sure there is a better way of doing it... but believe me... I've tried a lot of ways! Hah!!
  15. I'm using charge/sync trolley which allows you to connect 12 at a time. I can understand the updating over wi-fi issue. That must be annoying!
  16. to add to this - I'm re-imaging the other trolley now and it is happening again, but not on all iPads. I have taken one iPad that had the issue, plugged it in with a lightning cable direct to the mac, re-applied the blueprint and it has loaded all of the apps. STRANGE!
  17. OMG sounds totes amaze... might need to get a new machine at this rate!
  18. I do believe this was not a thread about the environment
  19. SO this morning I fix the problem on a machine. Reboot. Works fine. A few hours later (laptop has not been moved) and it stops working and goes through the laptop again... WHY?!?!?
  20. someone I know was running a Google Slideshow for theirs. Could be done with the Pi's as it is just a website and nothing needs to happen when staff update it, because it will just auto-refresh anyway!
  21. I have a plastic thing that you pop a filter into and sit on top of your cup. Quite good. When staff have seen me make a coffee they have always been jelly. Might buy a personal cafetiere for work... I can only drink the black coffee t-discs anyways... stupid body, stupid lactose.
  22. I do enough other green things to balance out the impact I use a cafetiere too... ALL DA COFFEE!
  23. Yeah I quite like the costa ones too. I guess my next favourites which actually sell are the caramel latte machiato ones. Don't think I've tried the Jacobs ones... might have to do an online order
  24. I've got a Tassimo machine and when I first got it, they did these creme brulee and tiramasu flavoured coffees and they were THE BEST! They've stopped selling them now though... it makes me sad. Just on with my morning coffee t-discs at the moment. Anyone else have a fancy coffee machine? What drinks do you make from it?
  25. Done it
