We use Net2JsonRestServer from intoaccess that links into NET2. costs about £1k. We use it to push info from our ID card system into Net2 and set access on the card/token, all automated with scripts we've written after the card is printed. Just share what we do. Might not suit your needs. We use breakfast worktop in most of our computer rooms (900mm/800mm deep) so the students have space to write as well. Then you could use all-in-ones for a small footprint on the desk or mount the computer under the desk. In our language labs we've installed shelves above the monitors to place the keyboards on, which gives the student more space on the desk for written lessons. Simple and it seems to work for us. We get about 20 computers all facing into the room so staff can see all the screens. A few standard classroom tables in the middle as a block. Then the room can be used for an IT lesson, just lecturing to the students or both.

We've been good at switching equipment off for years just because why does it need to be left on after hours. Photocopiers - Make sure power settings are set but are balanced not to annoy the user . ie screen switch off after x mins Registration units, raspberry pis with 9" screen(Used for attendance in each classroom ) - Switch off the PoE out of college hours, with them staying off in holidays. switching back on at 7am Computers / classroom laptops - from 17.00 a PowerShell script (Written in house) runs. If there's a user still logged in stop and try again every 30 mins up to 22.00 where the computer is forced shutdown. Before the computer shuts down. The script fires off and waits for Adobe RUM to download and install updates (If installed), if there's a pending restarts because of Windows updates, restart then shutdown. If the computer hasn't checked in with SCCM for a while force it to check windows updates, again give it time to check in and then shutdown. So by 17.30 - 18.00'ish 4000 computers are switched off. Then by 22.00 after evening classes most equipment should be off. Laptops taken home, almost the same process but if the user is logged in an application (Again written in house) with a countdown is shown. 10 mins to cancel the shutdown or mouse movement cancels the shutdown. Server room, air con is set to something like 22, saving a lot of money.

We use Prowise screen, excellent equipment. Just had 45 of them delivered today. Anything bigger than 75" and/or the wall won't hold the screen (Weight) we also purchase the iPro Wall Lift G2 so the screen can go up and down. So the screen can be set to the correct height for the user. Our rooms can have 5-7 different members of staff using it per day We don't use the Prowise software (It does look good thou) just because 365 is enough. Ask for a demo screen to be sent and have a play.

HI, I can't remember having problems of missing manifest files. The instructions were a life saver. I'm not updating UE5 until next month. Having a quick check I'm copying three files down, two for UE and the third for RocketLeague We're running on Win 10 Ent x64 20H2.

The really long replies from WhatLemons at the top (Sorted by Best). Yes, I install the launcher but I think you can get away with creating a shortcut straight to UE4Editor.exe. In the instructions there's a bit about changing the launcher shortcut. Everything is installed in its default install locations (Program files), and users just use their standard domain accounts. Have fun!

Hi, Yes we deploy it silently with SCCM, have a look at this it might help you. I've used it few times now. July, I packaged up UE5 early release using it. Our computers are locked down and run applocker and it works for us. Not going to lie, it took a 2/3 days to get in all working. Then we update the package a few times a year. Hope the above helps.

Hi Eddyc, Unfortunately I can't share it. It's a custom program which will only work with the college system. Basically the core of the program, get an install list from the the web server (example L:\SoftwareA\install.cmd, L:\SoftwareB\install.cmd). Then the program just works through the list. At the end, deletes itself and restarts the computer. If I get Autodesk 2022 working in the future with SCCM I'll share it.

Sorry a bit of a pointless post because it won't help you. Just want to share my pain as well. I had the same issue, all installed fine manually but through SCCM it wasn't having it. Spent most of last week on this (3ds max, AutoCAD, Maya and Mudbox 2022). I couldn't get them to work with SCCM OSD. The installers kept on crashing/hanging and the logs were useless. I didn't bother going through support because it's shocking! (Had the same problem with products not showing in the portal last year and the reg once website had constant issues. 3-4 weeks to solve it). It sounds like it's a know issue and Autodesk is being a bit slow to fix it. It seems a common problem on Autodesk's forums. Here are a couple of links I found. Hi Mark Sorry for the slow reply. The news about it going free again delayed us putting the order in. We ordered Adobe K12 lunchtime yesterday, had to create a new Adobe Console (Link sent by reseller), the order was processed by Adobe/reseller by 10am today. Configured and tested by 1pm today. We should be making it live to students late tomorrow morning after double checking everything is good to go. £4.20 + vat (Min 500)

We've been quoted £4'ish + VAT (But min order is 500 users). We're putting the order in today/tomorrow. Any different I'll let you know.

I had the pain/joy of phoning and emailing Adobe about this. There's currently no news giving CC away again like in lockdown 1 (Could always change). We been told to buy K12 licenses, 500 unit minimum purchase. Also needs a separate Adobe console if you're running ETLA license.

Training/help, to save time the built in help in Teams is good. Short video clips. Bottom left > Help > Training. Also done college (Live broadcast and recorded it), group and one-to-one training and few common KB pages for staff and student to read/watch.

We tested four different brands of screens and had the sales pitch and demos onsite. Ended up liking Prowise, https://www.prowise.com/en . Very good value. 4K, strong build quality, and the built in speakers are good. Also an option to have a built in PC.

Also helps creating SCCM collections so you can target certain sites/rooms/building/floors of computers/laptops.

We use the following to lock computers down for self service kiosks/PaperCut print release station/message screens. The registry stuff will stop ctrl+v/ win+R/etc for example so do this on a test computer! We re-image if something goes wrong or needs changing because the computer ends up locked down. Also remember to change power management so the screen/computer doesn't switch off and set a schedule task to shutdown (shutdown.exe /f /s /t 0 ) the computer at the end of the day. Then we have a schedule task to wake the computers up in the morning(WOL) from a server/another computer which is always on. Use the following for settings the login details. It encrypts the password.
