I'm on a call now. Will update as I know more.

Ah... so its Schools Broadband related then. @SchoolsBroadband

Is anyone else having problems with it?

Can anyone confirm whether the free edition of Office 365 allows Skype to be used for meetings/conferencing?

You can view the IP addresses of the AP’s through the controller and then use the relevant SNMP queries? I tried this a few years ago and pretty sure it worked. I think the SNMP checks you can do are referenced in the user guide or some other Ruckus documentation. It may have changed however.

I'm not jumping on anyone. In fact, I think you've come in this discussion to jump on me as you are now discussing me and my posts and not Schools Broadband? At least I was discussing redundancy, which is related? If you get my drift. I'm certainly not anxious and I don't believe I have been 'downright obnoxious or rude' however if that is how you've perceived it then I apologise as it certainly wasn't my intention. I just wanted to get to the bottom of whether there were real core service issues here which I (we as a collective) needed to be aware of, as it will affect future decisions, however it seems that has been misinterpreted really. If they are opinions then that is fine, I wouldn't have questioned it, however in this instance it came across as though there was some knowledge behind it which is why I asked and I wasn't wrong to do so as I was told it came from an inside source at Schools Broadband? I justified myself to you because I felt it necessary to clear up any misinterpretation about me, my reasoning and my intentions. That's all. Have a lovely day too.

Mine says builds expired in Testflight. Do I need a new invite? Can you help?

No and unlike others I don’t claim to have the theories or intel do I? I’m not keen to support anyone. It was just as much an inconvenience to me as it was to everyone else and I have had discussions in relation to it. What I have said is, however, that making broad statements without any real substance behind them doesn’t particularly help anyone. This was particularly in relation to comments along the lines of “they have no redundancy in place”. Nobody on here has yet posted in detail their configuration to suggest this is true, so why was I wrong to question it? That isn’t me defending SB or being their supporter, it is me wanting to know if there is truth in it as it will be a factor in future decision making processes if truthful. I would ask the same question if it was any other service or provider I was using, if the same issues applied. The fact it is SB as a company is entirely irrelevant really. I get no benefits for supporting them, I get no disadvantages for criticising them. We pay the same as everyone else so it makes no odds to me. I hope this justifies my position to you.

Indeed we're not but at the same time, your posts would be more useful to schools considering their options if they were supported with some proof, rather than them appearing to be just bashing because there's another opportunity to do so. There's a difference between defending and wanting to know true facts to make an informed decision. You could have easily said you have information from an internal source in your original post, you just chose not to, which is why I asked about what you knew and we're at this point.
-
If that was aimed at me, I am not for one moment suggesting all is golden. What I am saying is jumping on the bandwagon making sweeping statements everytime something goes wrong, without any supporting evidence, isn’t helpful to anyone. If people know there are redundancy issues, for example, and can demonstrate hard facts on how/why then this will help everyone make informed decisions.
-
Your post added no evidence to support the points raised? So I am asking what it is you know, that a lot of others perhaps don’t, about their infrastructure and redundancy? Genuine question. The comment about uninformed comments was a general statement where things have been said - not necessarily by you - without any supporting evidence.
-
How do we claim? There are people waiting on EduGeek to jump on the back of companies when things go wrong. This is just another opportunity for them to make assumptions about lack of investment/redundancy etc without knowing the true facts. Lets see what the RFO says before slamming the company again without justification?
