  1. https://www.blackpoolfc.co.uk/news/2022/may/16/a-message-from-jake-daniels/ I was going to put this in the good news thread but thought it deserves a thread of its own. Brilliant to see the bravery and confidence. He's only 17 too. For context I'm not a Blackpool fan, I'm a Preston North End fan so they are our most important derby games. But this is great news and hopefully more will be able to open up too. For more context I'm a straight male but anyone in the community has my support.
  2. Something strange I have noticed this week is that mobile companies have dropped their monthly prices for pay monthly phones but £10-20. Im due an upgrade soon so just looking about at all sorts of deals and they seem to be far cheaper than pay as you go
  3. I put £100 into the four coins in paypal, They have never gone above the £25 I invested into each of them. Altogether they are about £53
  4. I guess it probably only works properly if you have church members with Technology. My parents church, they are full of the older generation without smart phones etc, I sometimes get asked to run presentations or set up sound for events.
  5. we use these keyboards and they hold up well. Keys are easy to put back after being swapped about. We use the cheapest mouse we can find as the kids seem to damage that more than the keyboard.
  6. I'd move into a classroom so we can have a proper test bench and 'office' area. In the office I'd have... Storage in proper plastic boxes and not cardboard boxes Cupboards for storage monitors on walls for test bench plenty of data points plenty of plugs New equipment area decent desk, possibly standing desks whiteboards pin boards reception/seating area Air conditioning tea & coffee making facilities Padded cell.....
  7. This! We have a mixture of windows laptops and Chromebooks. The ones looked after by department TAs are in better condition than the ones that are a free for all. Finding a good source of spare parts is another must!
  8. We just hand another Chromebook/laptop to them and keep for spares. We were handed quite a few so we have some sitting about as spares.
  9. My team have have reduced Season tickets on early bird prices. Equates to £12 a game on the cheapest ticket. On Topic... Realised my home office I can turn everything off at the plugs as I dont use the room for 12 hours of the day. Looked at all my expenditure last night and I physically cant save anymore on the monthly outgoings until renewals.
  10. I've cut back and made following changes.... - stopped buying extra food/drink on way to work - food shop for lunches is all tesco club card prices so 7 days of food is under a tenner. - Got rid of Amazon prime, I now compare websites rather than just buying from Amazon. - toiletries are all bought from Poundland or other cheap shop as they are cheaper than tesco for same stuff. Probably make more changes soon when I need to but that's so far.
  11. I was asked if I knew the difference between a Hippo and a Zippo, I replied: "Of course, one is very heavy....the other just a little lighter".
  12. When I win them I will need to eggsercise to cross off all those calories gained eating them as a last unhealthy supper. Or I may eat them over 40 days and 40 nights with a Passion. I could go on but I will probably be cruicified.
  13. I'd not use any clips with them in. Doesn't look good in my opinion blurring out students for promotional material. Mind you, you're not the only school that has done that. Our school managed to include a student that was strictly no photos/video as they were fostered and parents weren't allowed to know where they were. They were in the middle of the prospectus with just a head shot plus an interview in a promotional advertising film.
  14. If its like our MAT who spent thousands on Google equipment during the pandemic for virtual meetings, now has decided to hold all meetings face to face and will invite people to attend but never tells the host school how many are turning up so on previous meetings there has been three people using our main hall and when they booked out a meeting room for another meeting on previous numbers we had 50 turn up!
  15. It is possible as all of the mandatory school training that we do is done like this and some training I have done personally. Not sure if there is a template online for it. Have you looked at the likes of skills share etc?
  16. I'm still wearing a mask around the school, shops and any indoor public space. I've not had it at all and I don't want to catch it. I'm pretty much the only person in school wearing a mask too.
  17. On and off snowing today. More forecast for tomorrow!
  18. Snowing in the deep south of Kent!
  19. I assume they were not an edugeek member then?
