Damn, im going to have to lend my USB-C cable to iphone users now....
-
Yes I touch the keyboard as I type...... I can barely type with more than two fingers.
-
Do the cables go into a wall box? Have you tried going direct from projector to laptop. We found that some of our connections in the box don't like the adaptors. Going direct wasn't a problem.

Brendan's back! Wind is about 20-30mph here!

My last job a teachers school laptop was stolen from her house whilst she was sleeping. The school insurance wouldn't pay out as it said that the teachers home insurance should be paying out. The home insurance wouldn't pay out because it said the school insurance should be paying out. It took a year before they both agreed to pay half each. Needless to say that after that, The insurance was scrutinised! So Insurance isn't always helpful.

Wind is picking up again. It was calm and dry this morning. Lot of rain now.

Remind me how much Teachers get paid again! We only have laptops and I'd much prefer desktops.

Is flicking through EduGeek during personal time work?
hardtailstar replied to TJ-Diggers's topic in General Chat
I'd say my only 'work' use is when I am creating threads or replying to similar threads about an issue im having. I only post these threads during work time. The rest of the time its non 'work'. Which is usually during my lunch or if I get 5 minutes whilst waiting on an email/download etc. -
The problem might be worse over wifi. Personally i'd stick with the computers in the rooms and resolve the issue with logon etc. Are they old computers? SSD?

Brendan is not playing nice! One tree snapped in half in the garden, decided it was safer for the rabbit to be in the house! I'm in South East Kent and the wind and rain is relentless! How has it been with everyone else?

Didn't know it was a leap year! I can't say I've ever had issues on a leap year!

Government Announces Plans for Universal School Inspections
hardtailstar replied to 6Foot2's topic in General Chat
I used to work in an Outstanding primary school and they were constantly getting other schools to inspect them using Ofsted framework so I'd agree with you on that one. They were constantly wanting to keep the rating even in mock inspections. -
New Year bump. Training is going well and reaching my running targets

The front end reminds me of Citreons!

Alternative to laptop clocks for exams.
hardtailstar replied to browolf's topic in How do you do....it?
Thats what we do. Every invigilator team for rooms get given a clock and that is put up somewhere in the room if there isn't a clock in the room. -
Who do you use as a supplier? - IT Hardware
hardtailstar replied to asm's topic in Recommended Suppliers
Supplier for what? -
Random people saying nice things. A student said today 'Good luck on your marathon sir'. It also added confusion as I've only mentioned it to staff so they must have been talking about it in front of this student!

Moving Our Website To A External Company & Advice
hardtailstar replied to Fontayne56's topic in Web Development
Same. Although I dont like our school's website with them but that is only my personal taste. All the design was done by the lead IT Teacher and GreenHouse but they have been helpful. -
Weird how that Ashford School is under 10 minutes from my School and never heard of her before! I roughly knew tech staff in schools from various meetings/phone calls/visits.

Also there is no South East on the location question. North East, North West and South West are there but not South East
