  2. My cat does that with my belly..... Have heard before that a belly button resembles a cats behind......
  3. There is a showroom/shop like that in my town that has demos of high end AV stuff of all brands. Expensive stuff isnt in stock, gets ordered and delivered with setup. Not sure how they do but they have been around since as long as I have been alive maybe more.
  4. 2am and tries to open it carefully to see inside then carefully put the wrapping back
  5. ohhhh any hints on whats inside?
  6. Her segments on Top Gear were always good fun.
  7. Cannot wait. Will have to intercept the deilvery driver before the school so it doesnt go missing!
  8. We have issues with teachers stealing remotes even though they have their own! At the start of the first lockdown, every teacher was bought their own remote as well as one being in the classroom. The classroom ones go missing and turn up later with a teacher that 'found' the remote. We have asked for them to be fixed but told that we would belittle teachers.
  9. My last school used ebay for almost everything.
  10. Came up with an IT joke but I cant remember the command line now....
  11. When I did, I formatted the hard drive in a caddy first then used a recovery disk to install windows. Not sure many laptops come with recovery disks now.
  12. If you are going full laptop then make sure you have spares incase a teacher is off and you have a supply in or you need to repair a teacher one My last school went from PCs to laptops. It was a pain. Current school is just laptops and works well.
  13. We probably wont be worried if they dont come back.
  14. Never heard of them. Luckily we are not on there!
  15. You dont have to charge, The only reason why the school did was to make a bit of money to pay for new resources as the school didnt have much of a budget.
  16. At my last school kit was sold off at market value or donation. Make sure you get them to sign an agreement that the school is not responsible for repairs or support if that's the road you are going. Keep all the forms too incase they do kick up a fuss. We had a two week grace period where they could return it if there was no physical damage and it was an obvious software issue. Make sure you declare it on your asset register too that it's been sold off etc.
  17. We use startech adapters too. But found some VGA cables don't work with the adapters.
  18. A lot of people are switching to none plastic bags for shopping. I walk to my local tesco and use a rucksack as its far easier than carrying plastic bags back. If I drive to a supermarket then I have a box I use to put my shopping in. I only need to buy food for me so this suits. Im sure families will probably use something different.
  19. beat me by 5 minutes!
  20. It didnt when I filled it in and I got an email confirming I had entered straight away.....

    Boo !!

    Ahhh! Welcome back!
  22. If you just swipe on the power button. How many accidental pocket swipes will happen? Cool concept though.
  23. I use Google Pay too but some people don't have a smart phone to do that. £100 is too high, If you lose your card, someone can easily spend a load in many shops!
  24. If you contact the person who organised the laptops to be sent to school, Their contact at the DofE should be able to set you up a login to their website that will contain all the details about the laptops including bios passwords etc.
  25. That's the nurses that fancy me......... Haha
