Was wondering if there is a "stop producing hot water until next time cycle" button in the app? There are times at home where showers / baths have been had by 7pm and no more hot water is required until the next day so no point having the boiler slaving away until say 10pm, could anyone confirm?

Mines been dispatched today, can't wait to get it set up, our house has no thermostat currently so this will make a huge difference! Have you guys heard that Tado are bringing out automatic thermostatic radiator valves q3 next year? They will be awesome

I've just ordered mine, waiting for it to be dispatched, how long was dispatch time for you guys?

How'd you get on? Any resolution?

Do you use folder redirection? We found that when there was a problem with our RAID storage, disk response times went through the roof, especially when all students logged on at roughly the same time, we would get the black screen after log on for up to 20 mins.

Wasteyard, did it help? -
Has anyone had any experience with Oakford Internet Services? If so, how have you found them, are they capable, reliable and did you get the speeds you were promised?

Blank screen after WDS PXE boot ??
Colindean2000 replied to mikkydoos's topic in Windows Server 2012
This may sound crazy but have you tried turning the monitor off and on at this point? We have some 19" AOC screens which go to a black screen when loading this page... Turning them off then on again inexplicably rights the black screen- 10 replies

I've been given the task of being our Kerboodle administrator, not that impressed with it tbh, the upload csv functions pretty rubbish, can't seem to upload class groups (what do I do if a student is in 3 Kerboodle classes?) I've had to manually make the global groups, name them and then get busy scrolling and ticking... AD Integration just makes sense

synaesthesia, we've actually got some of these cases (but bought from Novatech instead of VeryPC) and they are great, would love to be able to get some of these...

Thanks Marshall, did think of that, might just have to buy one and see what it's like

We've got a number of Novatech PCs which came in cases which our darling students can damage easily by removing the blanking plates and put there hand into the whole PC, we are now getting RAM chips stolen, very annoying! Anyway we are now looking at purchasing replacement cases (slim tower micro atx with psu) and wondered if anyone had been in the same situation and could recommend a suitable case? If at all possible the case would have no blanking plates at all as we don't use optical drives. I've come across the CIT S003b which looks promising CiT S003B Black Slim micro-ATX/ITX Case Tower/Desktop with 300w PSU - Scan.co.uk Any thoughts? Thanks

LanSchool - Setting multiple channels
Colindean2000 replied to bwilkerson's topic in Network and Classroom Management
We used the group policy templates in the Utilities folder to make various lanschool config policies which sets the teacher console on a particular machine to the relevant channel, quite possibly the policy would allow you to put in multiple channels but it's not something we've tried or had need to We moved the templates into the SYSVOL folder so that they appear under computer configuration / Policies / Admin Templates / Classic Admin Templates / Lanschool Teacher 32 / 64 bit Options Hope that helps further -
LanSchool - Setting multiple channels
Colindean2000 replied to bwilkerson's topic in Network and Classroom Management
In the utilities folder for LanSchool should be an enable channel select utility, run it (it runs very quickly) and you then be able to set multiple channels in preferences of the LanSchool console, at install you can only select one channel Hope that helps -
Like you we had an awful time with QNAP, we had 2 QNAP sans connected via iSCSI to our host servers with 10gb Ethernet, performance was fantastic, what wasn't fantastic was the random lookups of the iSCSI connection which could only be rectified by rebooting the QNAPs, they'd occasionally reboot themselves as well! Anyhow we were fortunate to be able to return them and were recommended QSAN, so we went for a P600Q-D424 and a P600Q-S212, the D424 has 24 x 900gb 10k SAS HDDs in it and the S212 has 8 x 3TB Sata HDDs in it, we use the D424 to run our virtualised network between two hosts in a cluster and we have a secondary cluster of two older servers connected to the S212 for Hyper V replication in case of failure of the main system Have to say, very impressed with the performance of the QSANs, possibly not as blazing fast as the QNAPs seemed to be but very very close, we've got them with 10gig Raid controllers, we've have them about 7 months and just had one of the raid modules fail reporting the sas expander reaching a temperate of 172 degree Celsius, replaced under warranty, was easy to replace and we could do it live as its hot swappable (luckily this was on the D424 which has dual controllers) I hope that helps? Feel free to ask anything about them I haven't mentioned

Hi everyone, would anyone be able to clear up a question I have about how 'free' office 365 is, I've been told that A2 is only free when our staff members are enrolled into A3, can anyone confirm if this is the case please? Thanks

Colindean2000 replied to bwestlake's topic in South West Grid for Learning (SWGfL)
Hi bwestlake Did you get anywhere with direct access through the swgfl? It's something I am looking at implementing but was looking to see if it's a waste of time before I begin Thanks -
HP LaserJet P2055DN's going offline and not responding
Colindean2000 replied to flyinghaggis's topic in Hardware
I have about 12 of there at my School and most of them display the same symptoms as everyone else here, a quick switch off and on again gets them printing. They will print fine all day long then the following morning will have locked up and need to be restarted! very annoying I would love to try the replacement firmware, Zerohour would it be possible to get the firmware update link? Many Thanks!
