    Apparently we don't use a Proxy at school (going on what my IT manager says) Not sure about a school notebook tethered to a phone - when my LM uses his phone everything is ok. IT thought it could be the firewall, so altered some settings and rebooted but that didn't solve the issues :-(

    We are having a number of issues with our MIS. The system times, out, you click on a student tab and get kicked back to the search option and reports aren't displaying correctly. The MIS works fine from home, and other schools don't seem to be experiencing the issue so it seems to be something locally that is causing the disruption. Also this website kicked me back to the login screen a couple of times? Any ideas please? Thanks RWG

    Hi We are in the process of converting to Bromcom and I wondered if there was a Bromcom user group on here? Couldn't find one? Could do with some user contacts if possible? Thank in advance RWG

    Hi Why were/have you moved away from BromCom? @andypandy We are looking at possibly moving to BromCom so could do with knowing any pitfalls we may encounter? Thanks!

    Hi This didn't work unfortunately- I had the inconsistent formula green triangle but the cell still returned a red house student.... However... I used your logic and in the cell that has the LARGE formula =IF(LARGE($K$3:$K$1380,C1395)<>0,LARGE($K$3:$K$1380,C1395),"") This works - it still shows students in the Blue House that have a '0' but doesn't then show the red house student anymore!     Hi I have a spreadsheet that now shows a league table (top 10 students) and when I filter the main table, my league updates which is great... I have this type of thing: =INDEX($C$3:$C$1380,MATCH(AA1409,$Y$3:$Y$1380,0)) When I filter say Blue House - in the main table only Blue House students shows but in my league Student 4 comes through. I assume this is because there is no students in Blue House in position 4. The issue I have now though is e.g: Student 1 Blue House 0.5 Student 2 Blue House 0.5 Student 3 Blue House 0.4 Student 4 Red House 0 I hope I've explained that ok? any help appreciated Thanks

    Thanks - Filtering doesn't work, I have used SUBTOTAL to calculate the average of the filtered data - this works fine. It's the next stage of the league being updated that I am having problems with. I just want the =LARGE($O$2:$O$1378,J1383) To pull back the highest score for the filtered data, so this I assume needs a SUBTOTAL Command, but I don't want it to do a calculation e.g. Average, I want it to pull back the highest score? Thanks!

    Hi I'm pretty new to using forums, so apologies if this isn't appropriate but I need techie help! I have a spreadsheet showing student effort 'points' and now have used INDEX and MATCH so that I type in a number e.g. 1 and get the top performer....I have the top 5 and bottom 10. Simple... Using: =LARGE($O$2:$O$1378,J1383) =INDEX($C$2:$C$1378,MATCH(O1383,$O$2:$O$1378,0)) I also have =SUBTOTAL(1,O2:O1378) so that when I filter the data (e.g. Pupil Premium) it gives me the average of the filtered data.. What I would like though, is to filter the data and the 'league' change to just show students that are filtered (e.g. Pupil premium). I don't want to create lots of sheets with filtered data in each (which would be easier in all honesty) BUT I would rather have it all together so the teachers just filter on their college, or gender and the league changes? Hope that makes sense! Help :-)

    Thank you - everything is pretty much in the air - we would like to use a markbook style system if possible as we may be able to collect data more regularly from teachers. We would need to look at how parents can access this as at the moment we use assessment templates 3 times a year - which ePortal can cope with. It apparently can't cope with any more than that. We have been advised to use the APS and to collect more frequently to please OFSTED...so something has to change somewhere along the line. Thanks Mike!

    Hi all We currently use CMIS and are looking at changing our reporting systems. We are looking at using the students Average Point Score at the end of KS2 and then assessing/monitoring the students against this - according to gov't stats students should improve 3 points a year. We are planning on doing a data capture each half term and having graphical reports so we may need to look at something else as a bolt on to the current system - don't want to spend my live in Spreadsheet City if something does this?     Hi Does anyone add college vocational results/BTEC's/ASDAN etc to CMIS so that the summer exam reports show all qualifications that the students have achieved? I have been told mixed messages and as I relatively new to CMIS thought it would help if I could talk to a school that successfully uses external results. Thanks in advance! K

    Hi Looking through the old comments, no-one seems to have asked recently whether CMIS can be automatically backed up. The IT Department back up the server, but have told me that CMIS still needs backing up from within the system daily. This is getting to be a pain so any help in automating this would be appreciated! Thanks K

    Does any one know if you can add qualifications gained elsewhere (ALAN, NVQ's etc) to CMIS and then have the results show on the students result slip? I know SIMS does it ( used it before and you can add results so you have an accurate performance indicator) but not sure if/how CMIS can do this? Thank you!
