the issue I had was that is wouldn't create the task IF i didn't use '-' for the arguments instead of '/'. so weird... this was for W10 1803 systems with domain at 2012r2.

yes we are running with 3 MPs which i think it a touch overkill..we have around 9500 active systems.

yes, everything is the same as systems that are showing up. I am thinking it's a server issue. I've rebooted them in hopes that it was just some glitch. Last week i was having an issue with one Management Point not passing the computer info to the server, and in turn it wasn't getting active. Turning into a bit of a headache...

Hi there, i am experiencing some strange issues with the client and possibly the management points. When the client is pushed, Config Manager looks perfect inside of the Control Panel, showing the assigned MP and client cert and all of the available Actions are present. The strange part is that when i do a search under devices in SCCM, it is unable to locate it. Has anyone experienced this before?? Thanks!

well, since it really isnt controlling much as this point, i was just wanting to get it onto something newer and that would last longer. When things were originally installed, it was done with default locations for everything which included the SQL server. Just trying to understand the software a little more and wanting to ensure best practices are followed.

hello everyone, Here is a quick look at what I currently have. We have ConfigManager 2012 sp1 running on a vm which is 2008r2. Up to now, we had just been playing with the system, trying to get familiarized with it. It IS added to the domain and i guess, somewhat integrated already. Now, my question is, if I wanted to put it onto a Server2012 vm instead, what would i really need to do to migrate over? Would a fresh start be best? And would uninstalling it from the old box cause issues inside of my network? Like AD issues.. I look forward to any insight you may have. thanks guys!

Has anyone had success yet turning this into a sequenced package?? I am trying to get it to authenticate with KMS but each time I test out an Word or something else in that package it is closing after a moment. In the title bar it also has (Unregistered Software). Just wondering if I am fighting a losing battle or if there IS currently a way to do this. thanks!

Using GPO's in a 2008r2 environment is working perfectly on the W7 machines. Set it up and deploy the printers directly from the Print Management console on the server. Ensure you have BOTH the x86 and x64 drives for the printers so that you don't run into driver issues when/if an x86 system is accessing the printer. As for XP,I have not be successful in getting the printer to add via GPO. So, for that I have a script in the start folder which reads the computername and parses the name and then goes into an IF to determine which printer to map and set as default. This runs for each user that logs in and it has been perfect so far.

I have found that with XP and printer deployment through FOG, it is best to set it up to connect to the share name (network printer) instead of using just the drive and the IP. As for W7 - using a group policy to deploy the printers has worked flawlessly in our Server2008R2 environment.
