SP3 rollup7 Exchange server 1 has all roles assigned to it.

We've suddenly lost the ability to search in OWA and non-cached mode outlook for some reason. We ran Technets scripts to rebuild the catalog files for the mailbox database created a skeletal structure but nothing else. Created a new mailbox db on the same server nothing same issue created another mail server and mailbox db nothing still won't search thinking of giving up at this point been on the phone with Microsoft for four days and we haven't resolved it any help would be much appreciated? I have a staff member who is having difficulty using the smartboard with normal annotation I noticed he had got smart ink installed could this be the reason that when he selects a pen the tools (on the laptop and the board itself) recognise this but instead of normal annotation smart ink shows up in a windowed area where he was trying to draw/write etc is there a way of configuring the smart tools to use the normal setup without uninstalling smartink or should I just go ahead and remove it? I've tried a few modules in Joomla 2.5 for twitter feeds however they slow the website down to a crawl until they've retrieved the info from the twitter servers. Is there a way of forcing it tp run the update after the rest of the site has finsihed loading or does anyone know of a way I can code a php version that does (preferably not using Twitter's own jQuery as this is the problem I think)? We use a redirected start menu for the pupils however we installed Office 2010 and copied over the shortcuts but when a student clicks on them nothing happens in most rooms, in others it brings up a permission error. If we give the students read/write/modify permissions on the folder then it works but of course this leads to students saving things there as well. Any ideas? Wes

All the latest patches were applied via Solus however the slow problem is also on the server as I've tried to use it's installation of SIMS and get the same issue. Wes

When going through the new procedures for the school census under Tools -> Academic Management -> Course Manager -> Maintain Course. When clicking on a subject date changes, status changes take an age on any desktop or on our server itself. Could anyone shed any light as to why this could be and a solution if possible. Spec of Server is 8gb Ram, 2 x Quad core Xeon, 2 x 146gb Hard Disks, 1GB NIC. It's around 2 1/2 years old. Wes

We've been happily redirecting shortcuts for some time now with Office 2003, Office 2007 now we come to 2010 and the shortcuts can be clicked on but nothing happens the shortcuts are all redirected from a Read only network share. Office 2010 still works because pupils can click on their old files and bring it up. Internet Explorer also seems to have this afflication now. Has anyone got a solution? Wes

I have installed this as a replacement to ClipBucket (certain features are available that we would prefer) having got everything working LDAP auth, uploading, converting, etc I want to put the entire site behind SSL I am using a LAMP install on Debian 6 I setup the Default file in Sites Available to redirect everything to SSL I enabled this which added a symlink into Sites-Enabled edited the Default-SSL file with our certs the site shows up fine however I believe PHPmotion uses redirects for the buttons on the main page and elsewhere and as such keeps bringing up The requested URL was not found on this server. When Clicking on the People button it does bring up a page but clicking on a member brings up: The requested URL /members/admin was not found on this server. We all know Smart Tech's stance on this and the cost of their software per device is designed I believe primarily to put people off buying smartboard tools on anything other than Smarttech kit which of course is a shame. We have over 30 boards at present in a school with only 45 classrooms this is a decent percentage however our new lecture theatre has been built and handed over we are using a tablet (Windows 7 Pro) and have bought the smart license the problem is the cost and the fact it seems to be an annual renewal instead of a perpetual license. My question is can anybody recommend interactive whiteboard software that has the option of being site licensed and works with tablets/smart boards/touch screens etc.. I am not worried about the cost currently just options? I'm looking at Wizteach for example and will be trialling it in the near future. Wes

There is also a change that needs to be made in the GPOs to stop this type of thing when the content is being deleted due to the way document libraries work with home directories we had this as a conflict with students although the staff didn't suffer the same problems.

I have a Moodle 2.1.2+ install and a MRBS 1.4.8 install on seperate servers I've installed the MRBS block onto the Moodle site and configured it to point to the MRBS site but it doesn't seem to be connecting to MRBS, just gives out a basic display of MRBS? Wes
