I believe so yes how would I disable/reduce this without taking out all the other web access rules I already have? Wes

I have a problem with getting Ulteo Gateway to run through our TMG server. It uses 443 as the protocol but not completely as a website everything it does is communicated via 443 but after the session starts it ends abruptly the engineer at ulteo thinks this could be down to TMG thinking the SSL isn't compliant is there anyway of stopping this or could smoothwall advanced firewall do this instead and allow the connection as we have it here (albeit very under used)? I'll have to dig it out bump the post tomorrow if I haven't got back to you. The spreadsheet I have is for a set of 40 teams (maximum) in each division. The other one creates fixtures based on a number of teams however it works on the basis of each round being on the same day with no proviso for how many pitches or courts?

Just wondering how I would setup a TS 2003 server for remote access I.E. reverse proxy through TMG to the server via a URL with the usual ports opened e.g. ServerTS works fine internally and if using my RD gateway works fine externally as all you do is config the connect to use the RD Gateway first then all you have to type is ServerTS in the connection box but I would like to publish this one directly so ServerTS...sch.uk and connect via RDP that way? Yeah I think I'm going to look around for an iSCSI one as the amount of cards let alone the fibre switches means the bridge was actually significantly cheaper. Wes

I am looking at a very nicely priced SAN unit however it's fibre channel and I have been using iSCSI SANs and our VM system connects to them fine, is there a way of converting the fibre channel to iSCSI? Cost is the problem here as I would have to look at setting up the 5 physical XenServers to fibre channel and that wouldn't be cost effective. Wes

I'm just installed this again (it's been 2 years since I've looked at it) this time the installation worked much better and the AD integration went well. I've configured it and now it works perfectly well internally. I then setup the external URL and reverse proxying via TMG however when logging into a portal or desktop session the session starts to load then states it has ended as if I had logged out? Any ideas about why this would happen? Wes

If its music you want try Internet Archive: Digital Library of Free Books, Movies, Music & Wayback Machine they have a lot of stuff from ebooks and audio to old movies out of copyright. Wes

We use XenServer here (5 hosts, 2 SANs) haven't bothered with the HA as yet but DCs are virtualised (95% of servers are in fact) just the print server (seems to run quicker like that) and my TMG and proxy servers are physical just because the hosts don't have enough NIC ports to have them going through our router. We went with Extreme kit as pound for pound its pretty much unbeatable Cisco switches were slower and much more expensive and I believe extreme have some even better discounts now for their kit. I'm now looking to replace the older D-Link switches in nooks and crannies with new extreme switches. Wes

Can parents just pay the necessary amount with ParentPay though not in sets of £5 with a £10 minimum? Wes
-
We used Tucasi for online payments then moved to sQuid we had issues with Tucasi software which prompted the move (isolated case i think) sQuid is a better system for many things however the problems we have is from a parents point of view with the top ups being in sets of £10 and several items we have are 21.99, 3.99 etc meaning money is left on the sQuid system waiting until the next time instead of a one off payment as PayPal card systems do (I use this only as an example) ? Both systems did work well it was just a problem we couldn't overcome with Tucasi that sank it (shame good system otherwise and worked for around 12 - 18 months without a problem) and this top up issue with sQuid which we feel is the only negative we have with it. Virtualisation and other stories

We've been virtualised (90% anyway) for around 3 years, XenServer has been fine I don't upgrade it until I've read all the problems first As for SQL, Exchange, DC SQL I prefer the physical as there is a slight reduction in speed maybe thats all in the mind though. DC, Exchange, Sharepoint, Moodle everything else is on except our Print Server which performs very sluggishly if its a VM but fine when not? Wes -
We use Gigasoft for ours about a terabyte of offline backup storage. Wes

Currently we are using ClipBucket for our video sharing site however we have certain videos that we don't want the general public to view (not completely confidential but..) ClipBucket will allow making these priavte but then only to "uploader friends" there is no website login currently as the ldap plugin is a paid for add-on, so authenication is done by TMG which I would prefer not to use as this then restricts the embed video option for our other websites. So my question is has anyone done this with ClipBucket and coded it themselves or does anyone use something else (preferably free) that can do what we require? Wes

Do you use XP 64bit? If not you would only have to do it on the 64bit Windows 7 machines. Wes

How to create symbolic link in windows 7 « Windows 7 Home For more info. Wes
-
If its Windows 7 could you not just use a symbolic link to the 64bit *.exe back to the 32bit location so set up a symbolic link to point at the 64bit one then one shortcut would work for either. Wes

Ah right I get what you mean will need to open up a port or two at this end for that. Right I'll have a look at both. Thanks Guys. Wes

Something simple would be best as we would rarely be able to get to the second site to fix anything. I'll have a look at OpenDNS. I want to make sure any internet connection they use is contrained if I use VPN couldn't they just use a machine on the router to get "normal" access without using the VPN at all? Wes
-
We have a second site it is going to be connected up (finally) to the internet via an ADSL broadband connection, however, I was wondering what I could use for a filter as the site is some distance away and it will be difficult to control? Wes
