1). If I create a group in OWA then try an add a contact it only shows up a few. Ones in my autocomplete and ones in the global address book not in My Contacts can this be fixed? 2). Does anyone know of a theme where all emails in the inbox are shrunk to a lien each and the unread are in bold at all? I know I can create my own but I haven't the time. Willing to pay for a theme if it sorts out this issue. 3). Same with the calendars if there is a theme that makes it look more like 2007. Some days I wish I had never upgraded although it was that or a broken 2007 box. Wes

We have a spare third till however when trying to log into the ID Manager it times out the server IP and port are correct does anyone have any ideas? Is there a way of changing the way OWA displays read and unread messages? Currently it just changes the text preview to blue or black I was wondering if it could show black or grey for the message title from and subject preview? Wes.

After spending the last few days trying to get things back up and running I've finally got an email system that works for the most part. However I really could do with an fresh Exchange install clearing out the old one and importing all of the mailboxes. Right well that hasn't worked. Is there any way of just removing this exchange box and making the second one the primary Exchange Server? Outlook 20xx still looks to the first server to connect even though the accounts are told to look at the second? Wes

I have a major problem I have two servers running exchange 2007. Exch1 and Exch2 I name them. Exch1 used to have all the mailboxes and was the incoming and outgoing smtp relay as well as the OWA site. After a major issue Exch1 would no longer search through mailboxes having had several Microsoft engineers remote in after five days we called it quits and created Exch2 moved over all of the mailboxes but left the rest with Exch1 everything has been fine until now Exch1 blue screened and I cannot get it to repair as it was running OWA externally and was the incoming and outgoing server this needs to be migrated over to Exch2 can anyone tell me how I may go about this as the backups have been of no use looks like whatever caused this has had repercussions for the backups on this server as well. Exch2 I've tried and the backups are fine on this as well so Exch1 is hosed I think. Wes

Hardware What type of hardware would you look to backup onto? Disk Tape RDX (I know it's disk but..) OffSite Cloud Storage Co-Locate Server If choosing Disk which type of hardware? SAN NAS JBOD Server If choosing Tape? LTO Single Drive or Library Other If a library 8/12/16/24 slots? If RDX which brand? If Cloud Storage why and where? Software What software would you choose to backup said data? AppAssure Backup Exec Backup Assist Veeam Alike DR PHD Virtual Backup Right this has all come about because I am looking at our existing DR strategy and trying to look at options. Currently we are using Gigasoft for our offsite backups and a combination of Alike DR and AppAssure for in house backups. All of these have been faultless and I would highly recommend any of them however I have been looking at posts recently talking about Tape and Disk backups etc and I would hear other peoples views on the above, especially tape backups which most seem to have not so much moved away from as run away from ;-) Wes

Usually a fibre switch will be a bare 6-24 port switch that you can plug either SPF (1GB) or SPF+ (10GB) modules into. Works pretty much the same as a RJ45 based switch in all other respects. Wes
