  4. Hey @VeryPC are you really offering a 5 year warranty as standard on the broadleaves? That's an amazing offering - even trumps the customer service kings, Richer Sounds, who charge you a small, reasonable fee for their 5 year Supercare.
  5. Hey, nice looking site! Its got the VeryPC roominess feel to it. I can finally show people where they can get a VeryPC computer like the new ones we have in school from. Laser etched cases are a winner - its all people want to know about when they see them in our school.
  6. I can't get that link to work either - timeout error. It doesn't work if I go through the APC site and try to download it from here: Software / Firmware Sorry - tried and failed
  7. Here's a 'decoration' for your tree. (Guess who's been using photobooth on the iPad!)
  8. It was @DaveP who posted it on Edugeek at the weekend http://www.edugeek.net/forums/jokes-interweb-things/128074-first-person-tetris-screen-rotates-not-falling-shaped-pieces.html Oh, and @VeryPCColin_M, I'm @hallb15 - don't know who this @Hallb character is!

  10. Quite simply, brilliant! I love Tetris and this is the best one I've played in ages...
  11. How did I manage to miss the start of Madvent????? Maybe it's something to do with the fact I had a 'special' birthday on Sunday and now am officially an old man. (According to my 5 year old, I'll be dead soon!) On that note, I must say a big thank you to @VeryPC Al, BenP and @VeryPC_Colin_M for my brilliant birthday surprise which they chose to announce via the website VeryPC built for us. Here's our school website (Feedback greatly received BTW) all you have to do is click on the hopping rabbit.(Note, only on a dekstop or laptop - animations are turned off on mobile devices to save resources) Home
  12. That's exactly the process I'm in the middle of (not with CLEO, with LLN but same process) Use a .csv file to create your users in Office365 (there's a sample .csv file to download from within Office365) On a workstation with outlook installed, create a Mail profile for each member of staff with their CLEO email account, and their new Office365 account Export CLEO mailbox from Outlook to a PST file Import PST file back into the Office365 mailbox. The only stumbling block I found was that the Office365 mailbox didn't seem to be setup properly until it had been logged into for the first time and the temporary password changed. After that its straightforward, if a little time-consuming depending on the number of staff in your school. You might want to setup an autoforward rule on the old mailbox so all new emails are forward on to the new Office365 address.
  13. We use AB Tutor here, but only a simple setup on a USB stick and 32 Fizzbook netbooks. Not seen the issue you describe, but not likely to given the simple setup we have. Sorry, I can't be more help.
  14. We've been discussing similar issues on this thread: http://www.edugeek.net/forums/internet-related-filtering-firewall/123425-moving-away-lln-how-did-go.html All requests for access to SAP, etc are still being handled through the LLN Servicedesk at the moment. I've had the pricing through on an email, as below. One off-set up cost per school (for 1 or more accounts) £25 InfoBase Account per user £30 SAP, FAB, Energy Account (token access) per user (includes InfoBase if required) £60 Postage of tokens per Order £5 For staff members that require InfoBase and/or token access to Council services, the Service Desk requires the person’s name, pay number and email address and the services they require. Please submit any requirements with a copy of the Purchase Order (payable to Leeds City Council) by email to [email protected]. If a school would like a back-up of their • Share Point site on a secure USB hard drive, • Email and calendar content (PST file) for all users on a secure USB hard drive This can be arranged but will be at a cost to the school of £790+vat for one or £990+vat for both. Please note that we require a minimum of 3 weeks notice for data extraction.
  15. My gobstopper arrived today. I've been sucking it for over an hour now and have gone through speckly white, yellow, back to white, and now on to orange. Got to take it out now - my tongue has gone numb!
  16. Try this. On error resume next Set WshNetwork = WScript.CreateObject("WScript.Network") Set oPrinters = WshNetwork.EnumPrinterConnections For i = 0 to oPrinters.Count - 1 Step 2 'WScript.Echo oPrinters.Item(i+1) WshNetwork.RemovePrinterConnection oPrinters.Item(i+1)
  17. We have a similar issue with a Brother QL-570 label printer. It only happens with the first label on the roll. Once its recognised and working, the whole roll works fine. To get round this, I have to open the label cover, and press in the sensor which tells it the label cover is closed, then push the label through manually, just a little bit when it will then grab it and take it all the way through. Yes, its fiddly and no, it shouldn't happen, but it does and this is what works for me. Also, I've had some success by cutting about a quarter of the first label in the roll off with a pair of scissors, before inserting it into the printer - when you close the lid it feeds out the cut label and stops ready to print on the next (whole) label. I don't know if you can do anything similar with the Seiko printer?
  18. I'd second what @LosOjos said. Don't go cheap - you'll end up paying more in the long run. From your list the only one I've used was a CiT for a home theater PC. It died within a few days and took out the motherboard with it. Stick to known brands with decent warranties like Corsair, CoolerMaster or OCZ.
  19. I'd like to have seen your receptionist's face if you had have shouted that! I can imagine what our office staff would have said! Don't forget to post a photo of you wearing the shirt!
  20. I had the same Broadleafs/broadleaves conversation with Col this week! If yours are anything like ours they'll be amazing! All staff love the etched front bezel and of the 8 PCs in the staff room, the 4 Broadleaves are always the first to be used. No-one wants the Fujitsu E400s anymore
  21. I get this as well - thought it was just me!

If you have a spare, I'd like to give it a go! See what there is in the Leeds area!
  23. Just back from Half-term. Belated congrats to @X-13 a very deserved winner. I did check in briefly last week, the final video was superb - a fitting end to Stock2ber. Well done @VeryPC Al and all those involved in the making of the videos. Looking forward to Madvent now...
  24. Come on @VeryPC Al. I've got about 2 minutes before I have to stop ignoring the screaming children....
