PS2 was amazing for single player games, mostly just because it didn't have multiplayer (I don't think, anyway?) Drakengard, Onimusha, Shadow of the Colossus, God of War, SMT Digital Devil Saga (I think Persona 3 and 4 were PS2, too?), Burnout 3: Takedown (OK, not exactly story-driven, but still fun as all hell!), Devil May Cry..

It's true, and I appreciate the series had (supposedly) gotten better over the years, but Halo CE was lacklustre enough to dissuade me from buying any of the sequels.

I never really got into Halo. I played the first one. It wasn't a bad game by any stretch. I remember the single player campaign was pretty good too.. It just felt too slow. Movement was clunky (I assume to encourage vehicle use?) and none of the guns really felt 'meaty'. And I didn't really care for that sword-thingy that everybody goes nuts about, either. Also Halo 1 Multiplayer suffered from the de_dust2/ctf_2fort syndrome, with Blood Gulch I suppose I've just been spoiled by Unreal Tournament, Quake and now Apex.

I'm positive. I'm not perfect, I admit, but I willownly admit to my own faults. I should get back into dating.. I suppose I'll spruce up my online profiles.. Edit: Er.. Only just realised this isn't The Punny Thread.. Ooops!

Well we gave it our best shot, but we just didn't work out.. She wasn't very adventurous. Every time I tried to suggest we do something, I was shut down. I guess she was a bit too wooden.

So I finally got my account working on Prime.. Except it's not used my [email protected] email address that I've used since day one and, despite that being the email address I have connected under, has decided to log me in as [email protected] and has decided I'm a new player. @Sheridan did you ever get a solution for this? Now that we're set up with School's Manager rather than VPP I had hoped we could give the English dept. some books. I've 'bought' 32 copies of Jane Eyre, but they're not showing up in the Add Apps list, and Documents wants me to upload a file from the MacBook Configurator is running on. (Sorry to necrobump, but this thread's the first result if you Google 'Configurator 2 add books')

Another +1 for PhotoBox. I've used them in the past for a present for a friend, I had a digital piece commissioned, then uploaded it to them and they printed out and shipped it. Easy as pie. Prices can get a bit steep for some of the bigger prints, but worth a look anyway.

I don't suppose any BSF schools were given a load of them and are replacing some? We didn't get many 'spares', we've used those where needed, and now we have a few that are dire that we can't replace, and I can't find anywhere that's doing refurbs.

Yeah, I feel like leather should be one of those protected/restricted terms you're not allowed to use unless certain requirements are met (like champagne, dietitian, etc)

To be fair, wasn't Jessica Jones universally panned? I tried watching it but couldn't get through it. I got up to the point where Doctor Who Mr. Brainwashy Man made that Policemanofficer jump off the building, and I still wasn't into it. Heard many good things about Punisher though.

Was round at a friends' place Saturday, him and his partner are having a bit of an accidental Bruce Willis binge, so we watched Moonrise Kingdom. It's certainly not the kind of film I'd have chosen to watch, I can't say I'm a huge fan of coming-of-age films, but it was entertaining at least, if not a bit awkward at some parts. A handful of moments did make me laugh out loud, though I'm not particularly sure they were actually meant to be funny.

Oooh I know this one! It's an RJ45/Ethernet splitter. So officially you actually only need 4 of the 8 strands for an Ethernet cable to work, the 4 in the middle iirc. This weird converter allows you to split one 8-core patch lead into two 4-core ones by crossing the pins from 1 ,2, 7 and 8 to pins 3, 4, 5 and 6 on the second cable. It effectively halves your network speed though. Disregard! Didn't realise it had two sockets on both ends.

I had spontaneous FPS drops (even freezes) for 2-3 seconds every now and again, and I'm not using any aftermarket or tuner software (beyond NVidia's built in stuff, anyway) Also one time the audio completely died until I opened the menu..

Closed. The signups for alpha/beta access were aaaages ago. I think you're guaranteed beta access if you pre-order.. but, golden rule: no pre-orders. Ever. Servers are trash though, or at least they were when I played it around about 6pm GMT. They were stable during the Alpha but last night they kept booting me out with error Delta-03 every five to sevenish minutes. Took me three tries just to get the starter mission done! I'll probably give it another bash tomorrow, see if they've settled. Most skills are still locked - you're still only allowed the Drone, Rolling Mine and Turret.

Quite a few of us on Discord have mentioned getting it. Should be good! Dark Zone is apparently open this time! I do hope they've unlocked all the skills though. It just didn't feel right playing without the Pulse. I had a few terrain unload issues with the alpha, only once or twice, but hope they've fixed that too.
