    iTunes Replacement

I use foobar, quality media player. I'm not to sure about syncing with iPods, you may be able to use this with it - iPod manager - musicmusic's foobar2000 stuff
  2. Looks like it wants VT enabled. You should be able to enable it on the E8400 pc at least, have a look in the BIOS for it.

    dos ISO

You should be able to use Universal Network Bootdisk, which has the Net Use command.
  4. What OS are you using on the VM? Have you checked Log files etc?
  5. The only disadvantage with using Lighttpd is that you can't use NTLM single sign on as far as I know. Otherwise we'd be using it instead of Apache.
  6. If you're using the onboard raid esxi won't see the raid array it will see the drives individually. You need to use a supported hardware raid card for it to see the array. If you've got another ml110 or some other spare box, you could throw the 4 drives in there and set it up as shared storage for esxi using something like openfiler.
  7. You could also just patch your current version to save downtime - Critical Security Issue - Zimbra - Forums
  8. The only small problem with using the VI client is that you can't change the settings on VM's running Hardware Version 7 (default setting for new VM's created from the web client, I think). The main thing is that you can at least use it to view the VM's through the console. Configure the VM's to use hardware version 4 and everything should work fine using the VI client.
  9. I agree somewhat, but you can use the VMWare Infrastructure Client that comes with ESXi to access a VMWare Server 2 host instead of the web client.
  10. Try this Ubuntu Moodle guide if you want to use the latest version of Moodle - Step-by-step Install Guide for Ubuntu - MoodleDocs
  11. Nice work, I think you should have just posted the one link to the new site (then edited it once live), lol.
  12. There's a guide here for the latest LTS version of Ubuntu Server - Ubuntu 8.04 LTS Server (Hardy Heron) Install Guide - Zimbra :: Wiki
  13. I use FileZilla all the time, does sftp also. Have you tried changing the Transfer mode to "active"?
  14. I find using other VNC clients such a UltraVNC to be a lot smoother with faster response.
  15. Yep works fine here via network. It's a while since I did it but I think it was just a standard Intel pro 100 driver. Although I haven't tried it on the eee pc, I have started using the Universal TCP/IP Network Bootdisk which then boots ghost once the network driver has been auto detected. Save messing around trying to find an NDIS2 driver for every network card.
  16. While I would also agree VMWare and virtualbox are better for linux. I sometimes use virtual pc for running ubuntu server to test a few things as I find virtual pc installs less stuff on the host compared to VMWare and virtualbox . For installing Ubuntu Server, the only thing I had to change was to add the option "vga=0×314" on menu.lst for Grub. Runs great after that.
  17. I use this tool - resize You can't beat it at 729 KB, easy to use drag and drop. Irfanview is very good too!
  18. I would stick with the HP. The Fujitsu is using an old inefficient Pentium D processor. HP Proliant ML110 G4 is also a good choice if you can get hold of one. They're usually around £110 ex VAT too.
  19. You probably need the sata controller drivers where you press F6 before the drivers are loaded at setup. Have a look on the manufacturer's website for them. Would probably be easier to use nLite and build a new XP CD with the drivers slipstreamed.
  20. I was testing the smb web client block out yesterday and was having the same problems as above but adding the writeable data and style folders as CyberNerd said solved it, icons and all. I'm finding this method a nice alternative to WebDav. Is it normal behaviour to log into moodle and then click on the "My Home Directory" link and then have to type the user credentials again?
  21. I'm not a vanilla expert by any means but it sure pees me off that you can't do a simple rename of a PC with CC3 which you can do on vanilla pc in a few minutes. Whereas on CC3 it requires a full rebuild taking hours...
  22. Yeah I already did mate. I added to the support ticket in the form of internal ip - external ip - domain name I'll update it again with the required ports, I assumed they did the standard ports like fujitsu used to do. PowerUser Out? Is that basically an unfiltered connection to that host?
  23. Starting to get really cheesed off with Synetrix... I spoke to them about the domain name/dns issues Wednesday morning and then since Wednesday afternoon none of our external IP addresses work!
  24. I've tried this at home (Bethere) & a collegue at work tried at home last night with no luck. I'm getting server not found, so they don't exist as domains (for me at least ). If I try again in an hour it might work but then be down 2 hours later. But as said the external IP is solid. I've heard Bethere's DNS servers are a bit flakey, but I never had any issues accessing the domain when fujisu were in control.
