I have to agree, they stuffed the network stack in 2008r2 they never fixed the vm memory mapper and power state issues properly. Just ditch it and go 2012.

Wait till it cools, check the water levels, look for a green puddle under it, if so check where it looks to be comming from. If it is leaking quickly it might be better to get it towed. If its not bad fill it up and drive to the garage carefully at low rpms to keep the temp down. It could be a split or blowen hose which is generally a quicker leak but a cheaper fix than a cracked radiator. If you have a torch you may be able to examine the hoses to and from the radiator better for damage. If you see some you may be able to patch it with tape and zip ties for the quick run back. Thermometers in cars can be rubbish and fuse at a set temp or only show massive extremes. At any rate a garage in its near future is the best bet. Did it have anything mechanical done just beforehand? Once there was some oil left on my engine block which was fine till it heated up and burnt off with massive amounts of smoke from under the bonnet.

Has anyone ever come across a simple bit of hardware that exposes an analogue phone line as a SIP endpoint. I don't want a whole pabx server, just a box that I can plug into a standard phone line and have that line exposed as a sip extention so I can have a soft phone somewhere else ring when the analogue phones do. It is probably neich but I'm fine reflashing hardware or whatever. Personal use so would prefer cheap and it's not massively mission critical or anything but thanks to a complicated move it would be rather helpful.

It's quite skewed on the Nexus 7 to but pretty has never been a strong point of Android.

8 is way quicker, go with that. It's easy enough to get used to 8 and if not just use one of the start menu replacements as above. If you pin most stuff to the taskbar anyway you probably won't notice a difference apart from the speed and reliability improvements. Have been running 8 on my user facing home gear for a while now and its good.

What site, what kind of computer, it sounds like the site may be trying to play it through QuickTime or your computer is set to use QuickTime as a default player.

You can map sharepoint libraries - basiclly skydrive pro - to drives in windows so it cn probably be done, I feel for your net connection though.

We use KMS with Windows 7 so if they don't bring it in every 180 days it shows that Windows is pirated, with Office handled in the same way it does give some incentive. The best way though is a combination of bitlocker and an application that wipes the TPM if not connected to the network, effectively wiping the drive unless they bring it back for the recovery key to be entered.

I'm surprised that anyone could have that much trust in their ISP and cloud provider. If you were hosting it yourself I could understand but I can't trust my ISP to be up for 24 hours at a time and Google has created and destroyed more services (thanks to non-market-share-winning usage) than I use such that I would not trust them with anything I did not have a full local backup of myself. I am interested in any alternate views though, I would like to try and understand them.

Don't think I have ever actually met one, I know they exist, even in NZ but are still quite rare as far as I can tell.

@jamesbmarshall would probably be the one to ask but it seems MS is quite tight lipped now about all of their stuff which is unfortunate as they used to be good at informing people so you could actually plan for stuff.

I couldn't get Bing to load a short while ago either. They shouldn't have dumped TMG, looks like they need it.

If all their courses are running through one individual mobile app with no or very limited video. I'm sure industrial gear helps too and even with those metrics if you have a school with over 1000 users then you need more than 1GB even for a simple smartphone app that grabs a tiny bit of scheduling information once an hour or so instead of all sorts of resources all at the same time.

They finally got around to putting out 4.2.2 for my 16GB wifi and it has fixed many of the issues that I was experiencing, I can still get full screen corruption with Chrome Beta - better my rear. Also found out that installing the Hotmail app made the dirty underlying OS sync with Facebook and other calendars thanks to the fact that they are all nicely linked for my Windows Phone. It is still a joke for usability in comparison to other options but at least it does not outright suck anymore.

Likewise, works great in the little test deployments with one or two users (especially with efi boot) but would be completely unmanageable on a large scale. Apparently 9 is just around the corner though and their entire customer base telling them that it is not manageable in a network environment they may be getting it through their heads.

You get to shoot stuff so it is generally enjoyable, nephilim is right in that it uses muscles that are not usually used much so you may end up a little sore. Personally I'd try to go along on a club night, rent a bow off them just to try it out. Most clubs that I know of have such nights where you can give it a go and decide if it is for you before signing up to a course. The five week one may be easier on your arms and finger tips than a full weekend one if you are just starting out. You may also find that there are a few more 14 year old girls there than you are expecting as apparently it is a somewhat 'in' thing thanks to the Hunger Games books and movie.

Used to, good fun, even just at the range stuffing around with a recurve bow and pin site (the one on arrow is a recurve). The ones with the little wheels at each end are compound and are much more compact and powerful.
