  1. I found this to be very helpful, when I needed some info - How to Shoot Corporate Headshot Photography
  2. Hi guys, Not posted for a long time, since moving out of the education scene and into the commercial side of things. But now I'm about to start a new job, back into education (An academy with 6th form), and was wondering what GPO's are a 'must have' for everyone. I have a decent idea of what should be there, but been out of it during the whole Win10/Server 2016 chapter. Thanks for looking, C
  3. Hi Guys, I've been asked to provide a quote for the following items. This will bring their primary school up to a decent level... 30 Laptops 16 iPad Air 2 (and trolley) 7 Mac Minis 4 Apple TVs Can anyone offer a decent supplier? Thanks in advance. Chris
  4. You're welcome
  5. Silly question, but are you applying to the User side of Group Policy? Here is what I set, and it works fine...
  6. Try using Group Policy Preferences instead of VB Scripts. So much easier to manage. Also, try removing then re-adding the affected PC's to the domain.
  7. Yeah, mine went down last Tuesday. Just had access to basic Outlook for two days. Luckily, I had access to the admin account, which was unaffected by it. All back to normal now though.
  8. Budget of £400-£500 per unit for 14 teachers. TA's may get them too if the rollout is a success. I agree about the RAM. I don't buy anything with less than 4GB (preferably 8GB) RAM these days.
  9. Thank you :-) I've only ever used iPads as a mobile device. How would you stop it from downloading/uploading profiles all the time? Wouldn't it just be like a desktop or laptop, and do it on startup/logon/logoff?
  10. Hi guys, Been asked by one of my larger primary schools to look into getting all the class teachers a tablet of some kind. My first thought was to get them iPads, but they want me to look into 'other' possibilities too. I just wondered what else is out there that is tough, fast, easy to use and has a camera. Cheers, C
  11. Thanks timbo, I'll give that a go
  12. Anybody got any ideas for this? Still not found the solution yet
  13. I recon Max Verstappen will have a shout
  14. Jenson? Wouldn't it be great
  15. Hi Woreilly, Thank you, but that didn't work C
  16. Hey guys, I hope someone can help me. I've setup a new 2012R2 domain for one of my schools, but having a bit of trouble finding the correct GPO to lockdown a section of Win7's File Explorer. I would like to hide or remove the menu bar that you find the folder organize drop down. I've highlighted what I want gone in the picture. Look forward to hearing from you. Kind regards, Chris

  18. Looks like what I'm looking for :-) I'll take a closer look and give it a go. Many thanks
  19. Hey guys & dolls, I've been asked by one of my schools (a pupil referral unit), if they could reinstate their website/webpage logging software when I upgrade their system to Server 2012R2. The time has come and I have no idea what this 'logging' software is. With a bit of delving into the old server, I have found where the software saved it's log files. It's in a folder called 'logs' which has a folder inside that called 'ie', which has folders inside that for each domain user. Inside each of those folders, is a file called spy.htm. When I open one of these files, a webpage opens up, showing me the user's name at the top followed by three columns. These columns are... Location (the device used), Date (date & time accessed) and Link (URL visited). Here is a screenshot of the file... Domain users are aware that the system is fully monitored. Here is a screenshot of the default domain GPO... Could someone please point me in the right direction, so that I can find this. Many thanks
  20. Glad it's all working
  21. Try a reinstall of WSUS Edit - Sted got there before me
  22. Just remember there being lots of GPO setting for WSUS. There may be one that could help.
  23. Just an idea... Have you checked the WSUS GPO settings? C
