  1. 3 years ago i bought a Lapcabby 20 mini for our first set of netbooks. I have to say, it has been my worse purchase since being at this school. It is an absolute nightmare to maintain. The kids are constantly loosing the cables down the back, the little slots in the plastic bits dont hold the cables for long. Then we come to the back! How am i supposed to put 20 netbook power supplies in the back of this thing! ARGH!! I'm lucky if the thing locks half the time....im considering putting a hasp and padlock on it soon. I always seem to be alone with this opinion, so does anyone have a photo of how the back of theirs works?
  2. Lol does this mean no one likes frog?
  3. Oh! I actually did good then?! Yay me!!
  4. An Academy up the road who hosts their own FROG has offered us use of it with our own little area etc. My Head is keen to see what it looks like behind the scenes as a staff member. Is anyone out there kind enough to maybe let us look at their FROG setup or maybe speak to you/your Head about your experience of it and how well your school has taken it on. Thanks
  5. revisiting this! Just to add (i am going to work through the above) some computers have mapped some of the printers but they throw up an error (i think about drivers) ive noticed they will be called infant-suite on curricsvr1.domain.pri but if i manually add it, it'll be called infant-suite on curricsvr1 and will work. Does that make someone go "oh i know what THAT is"?
  6. lol, you humouring me?!
  7. I've setup a GPO as glennda suggested and ive tested it on one machine so far and it seems ok! Will test on a couple more machines just to double check.
  8. On one machine with the issue I've ran simsperm.bat (as staff) and was still getting the issue. Runs as an admin, so must be permissions. Staff don't seem to have the permissions mentioned above. So I'm guessing it's that.
  9. Daft question alert....Can the .bat be ran at startup?
  10. Oh ok. Will try that. Will be interesting to see if that makes a difference as they are in a MIS group....
  11. 12lbs 12oz Suzie is heaviest girl born in the UK | The Sun |News http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2102880/Baby-girl-Suzie-Gzowski-heaviest-born-UK-12lb-12oz.html?ITO=1490 Don't think she'll appreciate the naked butt shots when she's older! Your poor misses! Congrats though!
  12. I'm going to check this tomorrow. Where would the permissions issue be? Not sure why I've only just picked this error up, I guess I've been logging in as administrator when I ran them for the first time.
  13. Nope, no windows 7 here at the moment.
  14. Not yet. I was hoping I wouldn't have to do that as its not just one machine. Poop...

  20. Hmmm, interesting to see if it will sort my iPad problem...but to be honest I don't see it being my ruckus setup....
  21. To be honest Michael, I couldn't think of anything worse! I have 3 netbook trolleys at the mo and can quite happily say Im not ready to give up my suite yet I think your suite was one of the first to pop into my head John. I remember you doing it. Where are the photies?
