When we got our first LCD for the lounge, we were going to get a 26" as we thought anything larger would be OTT. We were advised to go for 32" as we would sone get used to it and then realise 36" would be on the small side. They were right. That said, we only have a 19" LCD in our bedroom and that's fine.

We use skype to talk to our son in South Korea. Put the laptop on the coffee table and it's like he's in the same room. I can even watch the F1 at the same time.

Can I be the second? I bet you are really chuffed. Years ago, the Telegraph ran a virtual "Soap" competition. You selected so many characters from soaps and depending on how prevelant they were each week, they were awarded points. My daughter was leading from the very start and the first prize was a trip to Oz, going on the set of Neighbours and Home and Away and other cool things. Then the very last week, some stupid s@d in Corrie got run over by a tram in Blackpool and she was pushed into second place. The prize, a trip round Granada Studios. She was so gutted, she turned it down.

I have a couple of PSAAPE models and on both of them, the right button does not give context menus. I've tried updating the driver but that's no good. It's fine with a usb mouse.

I've got one of these Canon LEGRIA HF S200 Camcorder - Black 13803121261 | eBay which does all you want I think. Absolutely cracking picture and it has manual audio control, so you can get the right level from your mixer. -

That's a pain! I'd be inclined to find a mic. with a 2.5mm jack or solder one on, rather than use an adapter. If you are coming from a mixer, that's going to be a line level output, which might not be great on a mic. input. I've got a Beachtek box that takes XLR plugs and can be switched between mic. and line level. -
Antony Worral Thomson is accused of stealing ten bottles of wine. The Crown Prosecution Service said he'd have to go away and nick two more bottles before they could make a case of it...

Spare a thought for Michael O’Leary, Chief Executive of 'Ryanair'....... Arriving in a hotel in Dublin , he went to the bar and asked for a pint of draught Guinness. The barman nodded and said, "That will be one Euro please, Mr. O’Leary." Somewhat taken aback, O'Leary replied, "That's very cheap," and handed over his money. "Well, we try to stay ahead of the competition", said the barman. "And we are serving free pints every Wednesday evening from 6 until 8. We have the cheapest beer in Ireland " "That is remarkable value" Michael comments "I see you don't seem to have a glass, so you'll probably need one of ours. That will be 3 euro please." O'Leary scowled, but paid up. He took his drink and walked towards a seat. "Ah, you want to sit down?" said the barman. "That'll be an extra 2 euro. - You could have pre-book the seat, and it would have only cost you a Euro." "I think you may to be too big for the seat sir, can I ask you to sit in this frame please" Michael attempts to sit down but the frame is too small and when he can't squeeze in he complains "Nobody would fit in that little frame". "I'm afraid if you can't fit in the frame you'll have to pay an extra surcharge of €4.00 for your seat sir" O'Leary swore to himself, but paid up. "I see that you have brought your laptop with you" added the barman. "And since that wasn't pre-booked either, that will be another 3 euro." O'Leary was so annoyed that he walked back to the bar, slammed his drink on the counter, and yelled, "This is ridiculous, I want to speak to the manager". "Ah, I see you want to use the counter," says the barman, "that will be 2 euro please." O'Leary's face was red with rage. "Do you know who I am?" "Of course I do Mr. O'Leary," "I've had enough, What sort of Hotel is this? I come in for a quiet drink and you treat me like this. I insist on speaking to a manager!" "Here is his E mail address, or if you wish, you can contact him between 9 and 9.10 every morning, Monday to Tuesday at this free phone number. Calls are free, until they are answered, then there is a talking charge of only 10 cent per second" "I will never use this bar again" "OK sir, but remember, we are the only hotel in Ireland selling pints for one Euro".

Moving to new flat...tips for getting broadband asap?
laserblazer replied to sidewinder's topic in General Chat
The one thing I would say is AVOID SKY BROADBAND / PHONE LIKE IT'S THE PLAGUE My daughter moved recently you would not believe how Sky messed her around. On my recommedation, she went to Plusnet and they were quick. When she introduced herself to the neighbours and said how her Ebay sideline was suffering, they gave her access to their wifi. The only place she could get a decent signal was the downstairs loo. It might be worth introducing yourself to the neighbours, invite them in for coffee and then give them a sob-story. -
I just checked your link and they are showing £178.63 + vat. Do you get a discount?

Anyone used them? I need a lamp for an old HP VP6110 and they do just the lamp (no module) for £150. This is heaps cheaper than anywhere else that I have looked.
