I've not used Stone for a couple of years since moving out of education but the NT-310's and I think it was the NT-300 (or whatever the previous model was) I had loads of problems with screws falling out. luckily the staff were quite vigilant and let me know so I had a few bags sent from Stone do my self. The main issue I had was the AC adapter, something would blow on the main board that caused it to stop charging. Apparently it was a bad batch of solder on them. Then the fans would die on others. Out of 110 laptops I had about 30 - 40 that needed a new fan or mainboard within two years.

Funny enough, this weekend I was round a friends and saw an advert for a cosmetic surgery group. My mate passed a comment that I helped pay for my girlfriend at the time (broke up 5 years ago) surgery and I laughed it off and mentioned it was actually that clinic. Few hours later I started getting adverts appear on my phone when browsing the net for the same clinic. Havent searched for that clinic for about 8 years so made me think of this thread when it happened. Samsung S7 Edge.

Was around the £26k mark with tiered storage and 2 nodes. Can't remember how much ram as I don't work there anymore and brought it in 06. But it handled an exchange server, 2 dcs, sims, 4 application servers, print server, moodle, few test servers and other bits I chucked at it with plenty more space. Each mode could run everything and stone setup the instant failover for me as well as the 10gb fibre module for my core hp switch. Honestly couldn't fault it and from what I've been told from my mate still there it still works perfectly.

I had a 2 node Integrum at my last place and I loved it. A load cheaper than any other solution and did everything I needed with about 16tb of usable storage. Speak to Joseph Shore at Stone as he sorted mine out. If memory serves there was something about the Dell VRTX solution that put me off but I honestly cant remember now as it was a while back.

As long as you disable all the exchange services and make sure nothing is accessing the database, running p2v on a live Exchange server should be fine. I did it before and then decommissioned the live server. Span up the VM in Hyper-V and attached the VHD files. Worked fine for the 3 month's I had it before we moved across to O365. Obviously have a full backup just in case.

I always use either Adele at Contrac or James at AMC. Neither have ever messed me about, great pricing and delivery times and go above and beyond.

I'm no longer at the place I did it but I had a Task Sequence that asked for the image I wanted, computer name and then join it to the domain without using MDT. I'll have a look for where I found the instructions but it was a small piece of code written in the task sequence before you format the drives. You could try Testdisk TestDisk - Partition Recovery and File Undelete I've had some success with drives that wouldn't mount before.

In windows 7 you could sysprep three times I believe but I always rolled it back like @v01d suggested. It's just cleaner

When I worked in Schools, I brought all my kit from Stone and every now and again when I had a load of old toner, computers, projectors, printers etc I used to ask nicely and they'd take it away for free for me but I did spend a lot and stocked up about 3 pallet loads of junk.

When I had to suffer using BGFL VPN I used a program called Shrewsoft VPN that used the PCF file used by Cisco and connected just fine. Might be worth a look.

From personal experience at my old place I had a couple of Stone Integrums in a converged Hyper-V solution and I loved them. Best purchase I made there and compared to a similar Dell VRTX solution it beat the price hands down.

You can use Mifare cards you just need to use the correct readers, I believe my old place used HID readers. You can import the users via CSV. We used to run it on an old windows pc with two NIC's as we had the Paxton stuff on it's own VLAN. I did have it on a server at another place though and it was happy enough. The only issue was if you used the builtin card creator you could never bulk print the cards. Personally loved Paxton and would recommend.

I've just brought some Samsung XCover 3 devices for our drivers, water, dust, drop etc resistant. Android based. Seem pretty good.

Do you have Papercut or some other print management software installed? If it's not that for you to click accept on the print I'm out of ideas, not a massive Mac person sorry.

Are you installing by USB by any chance? Windows 7 does not natively have USB3 drivers built in so when you install via USB it will only get so far then complain about needing USB3 drivers to access the USB with the install files on. NOT the HD (Confusing I know). If it is check this out I followed the instructions and it helped me with our Lenovo's. Link: How to Install Windows 7 with only USB 3.0 Ports

My plan was get out of education. After 8 years working up to NM. The politics, rubbish pay, expectations, holiday only in school closures but all big jobs been done then, red tape, no training, no recognition and just generally making me bitter. I looked at job agencies (Applause IT) got me an interview doing what I am now but in the private sector and I start end of Jan. Couple grand pay rise with a couple extra after probation. The skills I saw while looking were server management, sql, java and the other programming languages. And a lot of what you probably do now to be fair. Just don't lose hope and keep looking something will come up.
