  1. Watched the first episode of the Watchmen - Had no idea what was going on...
  2. "Absolutely Anything" with Simon Pegg, Meera Syal. Kate Beckinsale, Joanna Lumley, Eddie Izzard and most of Monty Python A gentle little English film - quite amusing and a good way to spend an evening
  3. Where can I watch The Mandalorian?
  4. Loved Zomboat - Thanks @ICTDirect_Dave
  5. I usually tell them what they are about to tell me, eg event logs etc. Then I ask if they believe in God and what do they think God would think about them trying to scam people. Sometimes I tell them that their mother would be ashamed of them. When I point out that they do NOT work for Openreach or whoever, some of them ARGUE with me. It is great fun. I always answer my phone because of hospital appointments and father in law who use that number.
  6. Dr Sleep - pretty good - always lots left out as Stephen King's books are so dense with info but on the whole it worked
  7. I wouldnt make a fuss but I would drop a quick email to the appropriate person asking if this sort of thing is likely to happen again, and that you would like to be asked or at least informed if it is going to happen on your land again.
  8. Dark City - a classic film - love it The Addams Family - just what you would expect - a bit of fun. All characters look exactly as they did in the series
  9. That's the sort of thing - only we don't do anything like that.
  10. We have retired the netbooks and so we now have two of the lovely Bretford suitcase-type charging stations just sitting doing nothing. Does anyone have any ideas about what we could do with them? I can't believe I have to throw them away? We do have most of the netbooks too, and with linux on them they can be used for accessing the internet but we just dont need them anymore. I'm less bothered about throwing those away..but those cases..
  11. FLAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHH is back That is all Even had the song in it too
  12. No, it didnt land on earth - but a spaceship designed to take off and land on Mars probably wouldnt make it back to Earth Anyhoo Saw Zombieland 2 - Double Tap last night It was good - not as good as the first of course as it is no longer a new concept, but still..a bit of fun. Love Woody Harrelsons character
  13. @The_Oracle That'll be something to do with that guy in the sky
  14. Umm...Yes dear, I do know all about proxy settings! (trying not to flounce off!) I can open that link OK
  15. Thanks @BKGarry I did think about setting up a new GPO but not knowing what was already there or what else it might do, I am a bit worried about it. Creating a GPO I can do! It was your talk of certificates that confused me... What I dont understand is what has changed to cause this behaviour. Unless it was an update of some kind?
  16. @BKGarry Sort of, but how would I do that?
  17. Since we went to Windows 10, templates are not showing in any Office 2016 application They can be got back by opening IE, going to LAN settings and taking the tick out of the "automatically detect settings" box Two questions: We are moving away from IE and I cant see how to sort this problem with Chrome? (I think Chrome gets its settings from IE which opens a whole can of worms) Is there a network setting or GPO somewhere that I can set this so that people can see the templates?
  18. Break up on 20th, back on Jan 6th. Pretty free atm Have we got everyone?
  19. Gone back to Glitch - somehow we stopped watching it just before the end of the season, no idea why. Love it. So nice to see something that isn't American

I'm sure it is for those who can do Powershell. Not easy for me, any more than playing 2 or 3 lines of French Horn music would be for you

Yes - the issue with not being able to lock the computer has now been passed on the the person concerned I dont have any other computers and there isnt room on the desk so I am going to firmly suggest a computer in the ceiling and the receptionist remoting into it.

So - thanks so much everyone for all the help I've learnt a lot Sadly, I wont need it as today the member of staff has said that we might as well run a cable to the reception computer and run the ppt from there. With only the receptionist, or someone sitting at that computer being able to update it. Definitely NOT what she said yesterday Ah well C'est la vie
