That would be on every single computer in the school then, as they might be on their laptop, in the staff workroom, in the office, the HT room, DH room or the ITSuite I downloaded it and it seemed to be just the server install
-
I have absolutely no idea. As I said, we have a perfectly good ONELAN system that is being dumped in favour of, and I quote, "Powerpoints running on the screen that the teachers can edit" That's it No scheduling, no nothing AFAIK Just powerpoints
-
Thanks If I understood one word of that I'd be a less anxious person. But I dont.
-
Nope DH wants standard powerpoints that can be edited as normal
-
I see it is an msi so I could potentially install it across the network?
-
Sadly, we have some perfectly good software for presentations - ONELAN - but the school dont want it anymore All I have been told is that teachers will be adding content which will mostly be powerpoints.
-
It would have to be free - they wont pay out a lot for something that wouldnt be used anywhere else. VNC viewer is only free for home use, apparently Why wouldnt remote desktop work?
-
I am still a bit unsure about how teachers would access it to change the powerpoints? Lets say I bought an NUC - then what? I'm presuming I stick it on the network and they remote into it?
-
Are they on your network? Or standalone? How are they accessed?
-
It will be up in the ceiling, running the reception TV, so it doesnt have to be that mini. I did look at the Intel NUC but some reviews said it struggled to play videos? It will be running powerpoints (yay) and lots of videos of the children. We have a ONELAN system - but it isn't user friendly enough apparently I think they want it on the network so it needs to be a bit gutsy If I went with a stick - how does that work in terms of content etc?
-
We need a computer to sit behind the screen in reception. We have Lenovos in the IT suite but they are expensive (and not made anymore) and I was wondering if anyone has any that they would recommend?

Ready or Not A bit of silliness - enjoyed it

RIP Killjoys Enjoying Fear the Walking Dead, Justified, Once Upon a Time, The 100, Manifest amongst others Side issue - Amazon prime very stuttery..anyone got a fix for it?
-
Exactly how I felt about it too. And so many inconsistencies...eg how would a spaceship designed to take off and land on Mars get back to Earth? Sci-Fi fans are pretty savvy about the science of it all and it is very sloppy to have these sorts of inconsistencies. Especially when at other points they bothered to have no sound in space which most films usually ignore
-
You need admin access though - I rang MLS yesterday and tbf they answered in 5 mins and sorted my problem immediately There is a procedure to move the leavers FIRST before you import the new CSV which as far as I remember, moves them all up anyway

No - there are 65-odd other Yogas that were imaged during the summer. This one's hard drive failed so I replaced it, and here we are
-
I disabled secure boot and now it is going into WDS (the old way) and not MDT!!!!!
-
Yes I do Re your screens - I have no network stack 2nd one is the same 3rd is the same but I am wondering if secure boot should be disabled 4th UEFI/Legacy is set to both
-

@Smee We have two Promethean touch screens and they are very well liked. I think it is because the software is the same so the change wasnt too great - expensive, yes, but maybe a compromise?
-
Started Manifest, Carnival Row, and the Crossing Like Manifest, not sure about the others yet
-
The school has just gone up to Windows 10 and one of the Yogas failed. I have replaced the hard drive and the yoga see it perfectly. BUT when I try to image it wont boot from LAN Is there a setting somewhere that I need to change in order to be able to image it? (vague memories of something like that in the past)
