Native VGA is fine My adaptors don't have USB power so I will try and swap them for some that do...

Oh bother None of them do

Our new laptops don't have a VGA connection, as you would expect. BUT our interactive whiteboards do. I have got convertors but the issue is that the projected screen has gone blue, much like it does when the VGA connection is dodgy. Is there anything I can do? Would a powered adaptor help?

Gone off topic a bit The OP said which ones would you choose? Anything good from ICT Direct IMHO. There will always be a problem re different species of laptop - you'll need new ones for new starters and they won't make the one you picked anymore etc etc. It's a big outlay as you would need to do them all at once and budget for chargers, batteries etc Our staff all have laptops. It is not great - issues with new laptops having no DVD drive, no VGA, all sorts of malarkey

It was awful around 12 to 4 in Dorset -cold, wet and windy and I was out with the dog who of course chose to disappear for 2 hours and then turn up on a friend's doorstep sans muzzle and tag.

Right I now have a clearer picture of what they want in this instance It is definitely a speech to text solution for poor writers. I see Office Dictate is an option. Now I know what they want - any other suggestions?

Dr Who Grrrr. Was so hoping to like it this time around. But no, not only is the Doctor a bit of a wuss, but she has now worked out that she can go back in time to put things in place to make things happen/rescue people in the future. Well - duh That's always been possible but sort of ignored as it makes the whole program concept pointless... And once again with the PC history lesson, Ada Lovelace et al

Also - alongside all the current info, some of the best websites I have seen have lots of tweets from different departments with all the gen on what they have been/will be doing. That seems to go down well and covers both people who actually do follow on twitter and those who prefer looking at the website.
