@BKGarry @elsiegee40 A FRENCH HORN HAS NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER BEEN WOODWIND Neither is it Brass - evinced by its non- appearance in Brass Bands (other than occasionally when they need the music elevating a bit) A Horn is a Horn. We are the Horn section. In an orchestra, the conductor will say "Brass and Horns" as we are NOT part of the brass section. Every single one of the Horns I know - and I know many, (approx 40) including the entire Horn section of the BSO - call themselves Horns, not Brass They are all orchestral players, even though some of us are in concert bands, so maybe that is the difference I would love to play in an Edugeek band though - couldnt we just start a band? With whatever instruments we have? *and I am definitely NOT a "Horny Dude"

It was pretty tough. Had yesterday off - today is going to be strength training- upper body

Not keen on the sort of crunches where you put your feet under something - cheating I reckon. Also if you are going to do lots of crunches you need to be very careful to do some back exercises - swimmers, superman, that sort of thing - or else you are at risk of back injury. I did this yesterday: 90 minute workout to celebrate FitnessBlender's 6 million subcribers. They wouldnt normally do such a long workout - in fact they make a big point of saying that you really dont need very long workouts - but just once in a while it is a bit of fun. With a long HIIT portion, combat, strength training and abs, I am pretty knackered today and just might take the day off!

I watch a lot of American dumpster divers and thrifters and I have been startled to see that they dont really have the same rules in place as we do. The ones in NJ were out today, and in Pennsylvania one person has her daughter come over to do YouTube videos with her. And another guy actually commented on how few people were out and about! He's a trash picker - they put out lots of household goods and furniture - and I think if he was here that wouldnt be allowed It's quite odd -
When can we see it?

Ditto - not keen here either

mrwITch's company have now said that - presumably as things are working well with people working remotely - once all is back to normal they may then operate a "blue/green" system where half the workforce are working from home at any one moment. They were in the process of buying more workspace but now think they wont need it. Not sure how this will work - OK if you WANT to work from home but a lot of people couldnt easily do it long-term. Laptops set up on ironing boards in the corner of the room, that sort of thing. -
Strange - if I lift heavily enough and move with as good a form as I can, after a few sets I am breathing more heavily and beginning to sweat, and my heart rate goes up inot the cardio fitness range

Me too Happy Tigerday Tony xx

@unixman_again If you do supersets, changing from muscle group to muscle group without the usual gap between sets - it will be a cardio exercise too and will keep up your aerobic fitness

Pretty good here too - could hear loads of people clapping and there were fireworks! -
High plank to low plank for 1 minute Supine plank (yuck) Side plank Star jumps for I minute Jumping jacks Squat jacks Skips Forward lunge(jumping lunges if you are really fit!) Reverse lunge Bicycle crunch Straight leg crunch Do be careful though - speed isnt everything. Form is more important. We can all do loads in a minute if you dont finish the move properly

It looks like Ageas will not pay out for our cancelled holiday. Really upset - that's a lot of money. Yes we could rebook, but for when? And we cant get insurance anyway now Travel agent have offered a credit note - but will they be in business next year? I doubt it I know, I know - first world problems - but after the worries about my soon to be born grandson (will we be able to see him?) this is possibly the last straw. The absolute worst thing was getting a automatic email from the insurance company we booked with LAST year (cover has run out) stating that they will pay out for our holiday. Gutted -

My school has said that all teaching staff and all TAs are to go in as normal. They have created a timetable of who will be teaching the expected few children, and planning and such for the teachers. The TAs have a job list as long as your arm - displays, tidying, shredding etc I cant help feeling that this is not right - we are supposed to be keeping a couple of metres apart if possible and that isnt going to happen. I wont be in anyway as I am in the same position as Mike - well controlled asthma but considered vulnerable I was fine until I read something from somebody at Imperial College who has said that we are going to have to do this for 18 months at least. That isnt possible, is it? My grandson is due in early June and I cannot bear the thought of him coming into all this = and his first couple of years be marred by not being able to do all the things you do with a baby - joining groups, meeting other mums, that sort of thing. -

I get that GCSEs can be stopped as teachers can assess children's work etc But A levels? What about University or indeed any course where you need A Levels? -

I'm at home now - I walked with a friend on Mon and her husband (and possibly her) now has it. I will wait the two weeks and see what happens but after that I will just be very careful. I am supposedly at risk because of the asthma but I have looked into it and my asthma is really well controlled so I would be low or moderate risk. My grandson is due in 10 weeks and nobody is saying anything to my daughter-in-law about what is going to happen to her re the virus. All three of my children and their partners are now working from home. My daughter has had to bring her entire work computer home with her as it has some very specialist software on it that doesnt play well remotely, and also as she does some work for the MOD it has all sorts of levels of encryption on it. Just a thought - when this is all over it may change the face of work for ever - more people may decide that they are very happy working from home -

Not on the way to or from work though! Also being on site alone is not recommended by Health and Safety either -

So it looks like we are not covered for cancellation of our holiday. Although it isnt totally clear and I cannot get through to anyone on the phones - have been trying all day. Travel agent was great and advised me that if they issued a cancellation notice - which is what we need for the claim - and we dont get the money, there wont be anything they can do in terms of rebooking - we would have lost the lot. Not quite sure where to go from here atm -
