  1. Strange. We've just paid our annual renewal and no price increase, albeit this is the second year of a three year contract.
  2. We use Fasthosts. No charge when we moved over. Previous discussion here https://www.edugeek.net/forums/topic/215588-who-can-host-an-schuk-domain/
  3. Mosyle's page shows you (it's not entirely clear, but if you select the plan at the top of the feature list it then shows below what you get, or not by what's struck through) https://school.mosyle.com/pricing We have the K-12 version, which we needed for features.
  4. I trialled Jamf and Mosyle, albeit for iMac management and the paid version. I started with Jamf, and after a lot of back and forth they were unable to figure our why our iMacs wouldn't domain join with a profile. Mosyle support were a lot better and I got it resolved, and they've been great since (used for aroud 5 years), so they get a thumbs up from me. In case you've not seen the other posts, Apple are providing a free MDM at some point in the next few months. Not sure how that compares with Jamf, Mosyle, and the other offerings, although it's not like Mosyle is crazy expensive.
  5. I was also thinking a windows update of the last few weeks. Annoying!
  6. We've definitely had an issue the last few weeks where it reverts it to "pc screen only", so it's been a case of Win+P to change back to duplicate/extend. I haven't noticed it recurring but then I'm not sure I would remember.
  7. We have very few staff using the Outlook app, but had a case this morning. We uninstalled and relnstalled the latest, and that resolved it. Not great though if you have lots of staff using the app. Some further workarounds in the support article https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/office/classic-outlook-crashes-and-opens-in-safe-mode-starting-march-12-2026-0f1b0427-e259-438d-aa93-78128ae61f80
  8. Yep, we had lots of Seton labels completely removed, so Avery have worked better here.
  9. We also switched to the Avery L6145 labels, because Seton's were £1 each, and that was a few years ago! The students do pick at them, and the toner can wear off with repeated abrasion (we have them underneath laptops as asset tags).
  10. This is proving to be quite the tortuous epic with Microsoft Support! As proof of concept, I deleted a file from a team I own, ran the Purview audit report, and the deletion doesn’t show. I’ve gone back and forth with Microsoft Support, who are now saying it can take up to 48 hours for this to show in an audit report. A week later, it still doesn’t show in the report. I see a bunch of OneDrive deletions, which looks to be behind the scene stuff, and also one file deletion from a class team, but not my file. Microsoft are now referring me to unified support, which I think is there way of saying “we have no idea!”.
  11. Thanks for posting this. I hadn't spotted anything, but would have likely seen it the next time I came to generate a network license (assuming they're linking from that page!). I guess it's one faff replaced with a different faff.
  12. Hi folks, Does anyone know how to track file deletions in Teams? I’ve tracked whole Teams deletions in the past using Purview, and having checked there it does list “deleted file” as an activity that can be reported on, in turn under File and page activities. I have run a report on this and got no data, but I have a vague feeling that you can’t report on recent activities (the file deletion was likely around 9:30-10am today). This is trying to track which student deleted a file, but it’s no longer in the SharePoint’s recycle bin so I suspect the student knew enough to restore it back. Thanks
  13. The site's working fine for me, I've logged in. (Using link as per above)
  14. And make sure you're adhering to photo consents! That can be the time consuming bit.
  15. ^That. We use Facebook and Instagram, but are a secondary. Parents/carers tend to gravitate more towards Facebook, and students Instagram.
  16. We use a local repairer but have used the manufacturer as well. For anything Apple we use https://www.macfixer.co.uk/, who I think you can send things to.
  17. For those willing to test, it would be really useful to know if 12.0.1 fixes the issue? Our iMacs are running unsupported MacOS 13.7, because we couldn't afford to replace and are now waiting for the new Mac Mini to be released (and hoping it isn't crazy priced!). None of our Logic's updated from v11, so I'm wondering if they won't update on this older version of MacOS.
  18. We've got Mosyle, and I gave up with trying to understand when they update. I don't think it's Mosyle's fault, it's just down to when MacOS requests the update, presumably involving the app store as well.
  19. Eek! I've warned our Music department and switched off app updates. Thanks for the heads up!
  20. Is the issue that Logic has updated and then fails to work with the volume license? I could see that would affect Mosyle as well if it's not caused by the MDM.
  21. Is it just Jamf managed machines that are affected? We've got Logic and Mosyle here.
  22. Hi All, Our SEND department are looking at getting DocsPlus. Anyone else here using it and can recommend, or not? Thanks
  23. All looks to be working this morning, so it does look to be that adding of authenticated users with read permissions was the fix. Thanks again!
  24. Another vote for Examscreen here, our exam team love it. It's more than just a clock but I don't know much about the features.
  25. Scope is set only to the user group I want the GPO applied to. (The GPO only changes one setting under User Config) I can see if the setting has taken effect because another bit of software (NetSupport Notify) will report on which machines have the setting applied or not. My only thought is whether some of these other machines that appeared were from when I previously had authenticated users also in scope, and we've got bits of GPO catching up. To test I will change the value I had used, reinstate authenticated users in delegation, and see if the value changes for multiple machines. Group policy results shows the policy as being applied on the machines I've looked at, but I'm not sure if as above it's picking up previous changes that took effect. I'll test this change and report back... Edit: just to add for reference, this GPO is in the root. I want to scope it using a security group, rather than an OU, as it has to apply to a small group of users.
