  1. As assessment manager is such an open tool I would recommend that you go on the training course before you make any major structural changes, it is important to understand the bigger picture so you don't get yourself stuck by going down the wrong path.
  2. The setup I have settled on after years of using assessment manager is the aspect being Subject and type of assessment and the resultset being the cohort and data collection.
  3. I would strongly suggest that you don't want academic years in resultset names or aspect names, this commits you to creating new ones every year and will quickly become unmanageable. If you have a Y11 summer resultset it can be used for every Y11 group you have going forward.
  4. You need to remember that there can only be one result in a resultset/aspect combination, if you need a target for each year you would either need 3 aspects or 3 resultsets to store them.
  5. Clone the template and then replace the result sets on the newly created template using the replace button to the right of the column list, this maintains the previous one and gives you a new one for the different data collection.
  6. Looks like this might be useful... https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/business-applications-release-notes/April19/business-intelligence/power-bi-service/shared-certified-datasets
  7. Support units will still have to involve Capita with certain issues, they will have to log calls with the same helpdesk and experience the same delays.
  8. As far as I am aware you can't, I think that it will be a case of creating a fresh account that is linked correctly.
  9. The staff with just "User" will not have been linked to a staff personnel record when the account was created, this is necessary for SIMS to know who they are.
  10. You can make use of the remove section functionality, just start the section before the table and end it after and the system should remove the table if there are no results.
  11. Right click on the column heading and select Aspect Details, that should show you the gradeset used by the aspect.
  12. You would need to apply a white background through the formula.
  13. If you are talking about the screen I think you are you can use the Reports - Lesson Monitor/Attendance - Individual Student Reports - Registration Certificate Report to run for groups of students.
  14. If this is the ULN service you can edit the CTF version in notepad to 17 and remove the URN from the source school and destination school.
  15. This is quite a common issue, we always advise our schools to use the "Add data for existing pupils" option when importing a CTF containing data for students already on the system, this stops duplicates being created if there is a mismatch. You will have to remove the duplicate records and amend the records on roll to match the CTF (if you want to import it), you can change the records back after importing the CTF.
  16. We are advising our schools to send a blank data collection sheet (provided by us) to all potentially affected contacts and then go through each one making sure that they are linked to the correct students and have the right details against them.
  17. As far as I am aware the UPRN is only collected on Pupil/Student addresses which aren't affected by this issue.
  18. You have to click on "Run", this can take a long time and can have an impact on the performance of SIMS in school.
  19. The incorrect contact data could potentially have been transferred with the CTF. From speaking to a lot of our secondary schools (I'm not from Capita by the way!) they don't tend to trust contact information and don't tick to include contact information when importing. There is not going to be a neat and tidy fix for this, support teams like ourselves are just going to have to support schools as much as we can through the process.
  20. The patches should be available via your SIMS support team..
  21. To be clear, there is not going to be a patch to fix this issue. The process is going to be finding the issues by using the Database Diagnostics check 99 (patch 24157), then manually working through the list fixing the issues found. On a sidenote you are likely to get issues created by user error, there a usually lots of duplicate contacts on schools systems anyway.
  22. Does this take into account the issue where the preadmission child could take on the existing contact record resulting in only one instance of the contact?
  23. As far as we are aware the issue is only impacting on CTFs that are imported into the preadmission area, it should not relate to CTFs imported directly on-roll or ATFs.
  24. My understanding is that if you run Tools - System Diagnostics - Database Diagnostics it should show you in check 99 if there are any issues with your data.
  25. If you are storing them in assessment manager you can use the group analysis grids to create group level analysis of the ATL results.
