I'm trying to figure out how to get rid of the programs folder that appears in the start menu with maintennace and startup in it. I've set the GP to hide it but its still showing up.

I tried to do this myself but ended up cheating and using the attached GP template.. which works really well with a few tweaks on my end.

Does this work with folder redirection?

Nice and clean and fast. Agreed about the top menu needs to be 100%... and the pop out of the year 3,4,5 hang around on my PC after you roll off it without the background.

Same here, if they get a virus by installing something stupid its there own fault and they will lose their laptop and work stored on it. Our staff are pretty good too.

I'm going full Windows 10 Education 64bit over summer with new SSD drives across school. I think I'm going to wait till the anniversary edition to come out, although I have already used DISM to get rid off candy crush etc... Undecided on the start menu too, I like the idea of using the new start menu and XML but the classic shell works really well too... decisions decisions.

Morning, I've downloaded the Edu eduction as I got an email saying I was special and I could get it on trial as long as I assigned myself a license which i did. I'm trying to find info about how we could use it in school (and the pricing) but the Edu website doesnt list much.. and I am not a Minecraft user. I presume its a sandbox game for our school but do I need to administer it? I can see I can create worlds and hit things but will there be a way to control this or it it a free for all? I can see the benefits (if I look closely) as long as we can have gods and plebs using it. Maybe I am missing something.

This seemed to have fixed it dism /unmount-Wim /MountDir:d:\iso\w10_1511\sources\Mount /commit The image works perfectly now thanks. I am using 1511 so will make a new one when the next build comes out... if its worth it. Stuck is on a USB with a answer file from Windows Answer File Generator and a perfect installed Windows 10 in 10 minutes.

I tried (in vain) to use a super hybrid system... Our students are on GMAIL, staff on Exchange which always worked fine but I wanted to shift some external staff onto O365 which resulted in GMAIL users not being allowed to sent to 0365 users. Probably some setting somewhere which I missed but mail just wasn't being delivered.

I've found if I move the scales in the bathroom to a particular spot I can lose half a stone. I don't think its cheating at all.

So after weeks and weeks of faffing someone from Smoothwall attached and by god I think they have cracked it. M T U It makes sense when I thought about it. The setting BT recommend is 1492 which was set correctly on all my NIC's on the smoothwall. When SW attaches they did some testing and it looked like 1492 is hitting somewhere that does like it so its dropping. They set it to 1450 on all the external NICs and the internal ones... after they blipped out and reconnected I tested and it seemes to have fixed it. I've come home and its lightening quick without any issues. I've asked staff to let me know but I hope its the solution.

Smoothwall didn't have a clue, he tried it on his work pc and it failed..tried it on his mobile phone and it works. The traffic shows up as going through. I am dreading changing my ISP because I still think it's smoothwall. I might try one last thing at half term and install the smootheall from scratch AGAIN and just put basic rules in. Oh and the other day I enable IPS on the connections and it stopped everything. It was the zero day rule I think.

Right so I tried some new stuff as its still broken and found out something interesting. I bought a new vdsl modem and it worked.. then stopped So I have managed to get it working from home but not sure why. I have a block of statics 178.177 to 178.181 My servers I am having issues with are 178 and 179... previously 178 worked.. now its vice versa What I have found is that if I connect to 178.178 I get a page from Smoothwall.
