SAR - Medical records
Simcfc73 replied to Simcfc73's topic in Data Protection & Information Handling
We would be the data controller then as we created the reports. The data in question has reference to other pupils which we've flagged up as being sensitive so we'll have to look into this further. -
SAR - Medical records
Simcfc73 replied to Simcfc73's topic in Data Protection & Information Handling
Its a school report which we created. -
Apologies for asking this but I am a bit stuck. Our school nurse has a request form a parent requesting medical information about her 13 year old son. They are sleep and behaviour records which the nurse says she wouldnt feel comfortable giving out (I havent seen them but I can't believe they would be unprofessional) We are a private school by the way From the ICO There is no equivalent legal right to access your child’s educational record. It will be up to the school to decide whether to grant such access, and it is likely to depend on the contractual relationship between the parent and the school. As a parent, when can I request other information about my child? You will be able to access all the information about your child if your child is unable to act on their own behalf or gives their permission. As a general guide, a child of 12 or older is expected to be mature enough to make this kind of request. This document goes further but I won't paste that stuff. https://ico.org.uk/media/for-organisations/documents/2259722/subject-access-code-of-practice.pdf So as the parent has requested the information we cannot give it as the student is over 12 and mature enough that he need to consent himself? As we a private school and fee paying wouldnt the parent be allowed to request the information as they paid for it?

Hi, Has anyone seen this? I've contacted M$ to work it out but I'm still waiting. When I create my Outlook account I put in my username and password and try logging in which pops up the SSO page (I have MFA bypass for my internal domain so there's no prompt for the rest of the school accounts) Problem is my account had a personal and a business account.. I think my personal one was used for VLSC years ago so when the pop up appears it asks me which account to use as its found multiple one. When I click either one it just loops. If I try loggin in to a personal M$ account it says it doesn't exist... and I removed it from my personal account which used it as a backup email account. Struggling a bit. I removed all the Cred data, added a reg key I found on another thread but its still struggling. I cant see it being a profile issue but stuck.

I've narrowed it down to a network issue. The skip MFA for internal is all working now (a couple of blemishes) but its working. What I've found is, if the netowrk icon in the bottom right is showing no internet connection (even though there is) then the popup fails and I cannot log in. If its saying connected to.... then autoconfigure works and all is perfect. So I need to work that out. I've seen the couple of articles on here so am working through those. Thanks for the help.

Its only been reported by a few users. Internally the autodiscover does change outlook...it just messes up with the mfa prompt.

No I'm using azure AD connect. It seems to be working now but I've never configured Smoothwall to use my statics to connect to the internet, I've always let it use my assigned IP's. I have 2 fibre connections so not sure how I'd work that out. My migration coincided with BT fixing one of my lines so they connection was up and down for a couple of days before it settled so its probably going to be okay now. I've migrated 120 mailboxes now so almost there. Issues I am having now are. I stupidly didnt renew my azure MFA licesning so the new starters cannot be assinged a MFA license until its cleared (including the new head.. oops). I disabled it but I've set it up to assign licenses based on AD group membership so when it resyncs it reassigns him to use MFA... which isnt licensed. Clients who've setup outlook on their devices arent moving to the new Outlook365 servers, having to tell them to delete the account and create it again. The biggest issue is I'm getting 503 errors when autoconfiguring outlook with the new O365 settings on some machines. Its bypassing the MFA prompt correctly but a popup box appears similar to the MFA prompt and shows a serice is unavailable.. when I look in SW logs its a 503 error when trying to connect. SW's solution is to change the autodiscover to port 80 rather than 443 but I'm struggling with a fix. I'll look at joining computer to azure and see if that helps.

Thats how mine was setup.. but when you go to hybrid i changes. The connectors are created in O365 to talk to the onsite exchange server, if it doens find the contact it drops it.. you can't change the connector type. Still can email Google on the exchage box, just not migrated mailboxes.

I'm currently running a hybrid install of Exchange with a split delivery where the studetns accounts live on Google. Split worked fine with accounts on my exchange box but when they are migrated to the cloud they fail with unknown account. I'm having to create mail contacts for all students, I've tested this on one account and as soon as I create the contact mail flow begins (although I am still gettting an error in Outlook saying the adress is no longer valid) Not sure if I will still need to do this when i decomission my Exchange box. Only got exams results to go out tonight so all is fine.

Cheers, I was getting a bit confused and added the wrong address from my SW box. I've got a Gateway IP and a Local IP on my SW interfaces as well as my statics I bought. When I do a whatsmyip I am getting one of the assigned Local IPs not my statics.. this is what changes when it dials up again.

Hi, I'm just revisiting our data retention and disposal policy which follows 2016_IRMS_Toolkit_for_Schools guidelines and in previous years when pupils have left the office team put all their records (we are private school so letters about bursaries, enquiry letters) into a file and put them into a secure storage area. Obviously we are going through and shreddign for England but the IRMS states 'Date of Birth of the pupil + 25 years' for keeping Pupil educational records. Is this what other schools have adopted. I went to the Inside Government GDPR course last month where one of the speakers said theres no legal requirement for data retention excpet for statutaory bits. Our Alumni is causing me a headache too. They used to just add leavers names and emails to their database to communicate out without asking them if its ok but now they are getting them to sign up but we have decades worth of old emails. I've explained to them about it and I think its hitting homw now.

BT, I pay for statics too but they are aliases on my connections (I have 2 Fibres)

Hi, I've just been on the phone to M$ who says the only way to not prompt for MFA verification in Outlook 2016 is to use a app password. Is this correct, I've found the IP settings for disabling internal clients but our IP changes on our firewall changes when we reboot. I've also read about conditional access but don't think that's the way forward either. Any advise/help would be super.

one final thing which i am struggling with. (In menorca so hard to fix) traffic between on site and cloud, what sites on the firewall have you opened. i did the sites on herehttps://support.office.com/en-us/article/office-365-urls-and-ip-address-ranges-8548a211-3fe7-47cb-abb1-355ea5aa88a2 but its not sending mail from the cloud to onsite.

Looming tower, Jeff Daniels is an amazing actor.

Running this it was set to false Get-OrganizationConfig | Format-Table -Auto Name,OAuth* I never disabled it but will do some more testing now. Cheers

Thanks for this, it looks like its something to do with MFA which is enabled. As soon as I disabled it for my test account it worked fine but I am getting a prompt to sign in each time with my @DomAin which i presume is to sign into Office365... this doesnt have a save password option whioch will eb a pain for staff. I'm a bit confused as to how MFA will work now with Outlook. We are all Office 2016 in school so I thought MFA would just work without having to sort out app passwords. At home before I disabled MFA it never worked even when I deleted the outlook profile. I was hoping I could use the trusted IP bit of Azure MFA to bypass MFA for the intranet. Edit : Looking at the Azure logs I am getting Failure reason - User did not pass the MFA challenge (non interactive). Client App - Exchange ActiveSync

Weirdness is happening. I migrated my test account and my admin account with success and outlook pointed to the O365 fine.. I removed my Outlook account on my windows phone and it reattached perfectly to O365. Problem is when I tried my laptop at home which wont attach.. and now my work Outlook account has stopped working. Running Remote connectivity thingy its showing as Host *****.mail.onmicrosoft.com couldn't be resolved in DNS InfoNoRecords.

Hi, I've got app proxy working nicely with HAP but just need to remove Direct Edit from the top bar. Can someone point me in the right direction. Cheers
-
I thought because I was using app proxy it didn't work but it does what you say.. thanks. Absolute nightmare moving my first one, I ended up with 2 mailboxes, one int he cloud and one on site so had to powershell to remove the online account from the recycle bin before it synced.

Hi, I'm dabbling in migrating some mailboxes to exchange online and after a failed attempt (my test account had an online archive which messed everything up) I have few mailboxes online. I use app proxy on site with my exchange server so connecting doesnt seem to be straightforward so I am just wondering how if anyone has a hybrid and how they configure access to OWA.. should it connect to both online and on site OWA sites from the same URL? Also, how do you configure microsoft outlook, is there some fancy dancy way to connect to o365 when using hybrid. Cheers for the help.

My networks a similar size, 300ish devices. I have 3 vlans setup and I don't do any vlan routing as I use Smoothwall to dish out the IPs on the Vlans not my servers. One for the guest WIFI's, one for the chromebooks and the main one. Much easier to setup for me as I never got my head round the inter-vlan routing on the netgear switches.

Virgin Media are making changes to the channels they supply this weekend
Simcfc73 replied to 6Foot2's topic in TV & Movies
I phoned up for my mom the other day when they removed the UKtv channels. Took me over 2 hours to get through and dropped the tv channels and kept the broadband and phone lines. I got her a Youtv box, really nice piece of kit. -
HAP MyFiles and Azure AD Web Application Proxy and SSO
Simcfc73 replied to rheibel's topic in Home Access Plus+
Hi, I've got this all working with SSO and Azure but I can't work out where to remove the direct edit button from the My Files screen. I've removed the line from the video so its all working except that.
