Matrix 4, loved it. Very clever the way they explained what was going on with Neo/Thomas and how they worked the other characters in to it. It would have been very easy to do the obvious "It was all just a dream" or "Matrix in a Matrix" idea and they didn't, this one tied it all in very well. Not the impact of the first Matrix movie, but does the franchise justice.

It was deserted. There was me, my wife and kids, and four other people in the entire screen. Lobby had about a dozen people in it. Wouldn't have gone if it was busy.

Anyone watched it? I did. First half an hour was very "What the hell is going on here?!" The rest answered that and I enjoyed it.

Morning, Bought myself a Nokia E71 this week as it was only £20 and I loved it when I had one years ago! It keeps complaining about the certificates having expired when trying to install apps, despite changing the setting to ignore this. Anyone know a good source of info for these, or is it a bit beyond it now? Stuart

Yes, they activate, and as far as I know we aren't in S mode either. We then manually join the domain after a reboot.

We too are deploying LTSC 1809 via WDS with KMS doing the activations and have also noticed that newly downloaded images are not joining the domain.

@SchoolsBroadband - We have noticed here this morning that if we turn the PROXY off, we get unfiltered Internet. I haven't tested just how unfiltered, but I have got on some sites I really shouldn't be able to! Related? Anyone else seeing this?

I've seen that email too. We are an academy and buy direct from ESS. AFAIK all the academies around here buy SIMS direct from ESS rather than through the LA. Is that because they aren't allowed to buy it through the LA, and if not, why not? Can we go back to the LA for annual renewals and give ESS notice? I am aware that this would mean we can't contact ESS for support and would have to go to the LA for that too.

There's only one reg group in the "Re-use old" thingy, and that one isn't formatted incorrectly either. Can't believe i'm having to do this just because Compass+ won't use the correct field.... Grrr.....

Yup, everything in there matches. Also, this is happening with our year 7s as well as other groups. We renamed our tutor groups a couple of years ago so surely year 7 shouldn't be affected?

If you're installing Windows Server to run SIMS, install Hyper-V on it, and then just run one VM on it which is your SIMS server. You then are running SIMS in a VM and it cost you no more. Much easier to backup and move about if necessary.

Thanks for the reply, but it isn't that one. They are all set correctly. This is what we've got; Compass+ is using the field labelled "Group code" field. Goodness knows why!

Morning, We use Compass+ for careers. When we imported all our data on to their site using their little app thingy, the reg group is wrong for some of the students. We have been in touch with Compass+ and it's because they populate the reg group field from the field in SIMS .net called "Group Code". We pointed out that they should be using the "Reg Group" one but they weren't having any of it. Anyway, the "Group code" field more often than not is populated with the same data as the "Reg Group" field, but sometimes it is different. Anyone know what this field actually is, and how we update it? The only place I've found it is in designing a report under "Registatration" -> "Groups" -> "Group code". Can't find it anywhere else. I had an issue at a primary school many years ago where the Internet would drop out randomly for a few minutes. It was in the days of ISDN internet, and it was free between 8am and 4pm on weekdays. They used one of those programmable timers to turn it on and off. I eventually found that the timer also had a "Lamp mode" where it would randomly turn on and off on the assumption you've plugged a light in and then it makes your house look occupied! They felt very silly when I found that one.......

We have received our ADT file and tried to import it in to SIMS .net and got an absolute barrage of errors on it. I assume it should just be as simple as running through the ADT file Import wizard, but it really isn't happy. Dozens of; The pupil's preferences will not be imported due to the following error: A mandatory tag is missing. It can be identified with the xpath of /ADTfile/Message/Pupils/Pupil/Preferences/Preference/LEAspecificInformation/Aptitudes/Aptitude/AptitudeCode Previous School Details have already been recorded for the school passed in and will not be imported Unable to import Sibling () as the school details do not currently exist in the System And all sorts of others. Any idea why? Are we a version out or something? We're on 7.200. Thank you Stuart
