  1. Yes all all machines are affected. Restarting doesn't fix it, i'll try a reinstall next. Thanks for all the help guys, i'll try the things suggested and report back. cheers
  2. Ah.... html5 as default and attempts to failover to flash...which also fails
  3. Updated the plugin still no joy. Although i feel better knowing it's a "feature" and not.... i'll keep playing
  4. Oh no! I'll give that a go now and report back. Is that a documented issue or "feature"?
  5. Great, thanks for the speedy reply guys, Down the rabbit hole i go...... yay. I get the following error; An error occurred while handling your request While trying to retrieve the URL:http://emp.bbc.co.uk/emp/SMPj/2.8.18/iframe.html The content could not be delivered due to the following condition: Timeout while reading response from Server Your cache administrator is: [email protected] Powered by UTM Web Protection
  6. Hi all, Just wanted to ask if anybody is having issues with videos hosted on the BBC's servers. All of the BBC site videos aren't working for us, Bite size, iplayer, news etc. I'm thinking it's probably something to do with Google stopping the use of Flash player as IE\edge works fine. (I guess this might be in the wrong section then?) Thought it might be a filtering issue, but other admin accounts are also affected. any feedback would be great thanks.
  7. Glad to see and hear you doing OK! Every Cloud (based backup) has a silver lining and all.... new render looks great! 3g/4g router not an option to get afew core systems online? Also, once everything has settled down (so to speak), we're going to be looking at our back up strategy soon. Would love to see yours....i'm sure most of us would. Congrats and everything you've achieved! Now get some sleep!
  8. I'm been trying to find a server 2016 roadmap from microsoft. R2 for 2012 was approx 12-18 months from the 2012 launch. I was just curious to whether server 2016 will have a R2 update or just a series of "feature updates" similar to windows 10? Anybody found anything on this? I can't find anything via Google. cheers
  9. https://www.elegantthemesdemo.com/?et_fb=1 I use this
  10. I've back-up all my GPOs from our current live network with the plan of importing them into our test environment. I thought i'd simply be able to re-import them into the gpo objects OU...... nope..... i have to make a empty gpo and "import" each individual gpo. I was hoping to use the cscript.exe but it doesn't work. i get a lib_commonGPMCfuction.js error....... surely there's an easier way to import all my gpos. Anybody else done this during testing? ---
  11. Windows 10 differences: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_10_editions#Editions
  12. Awesome!, worked a treat. Thanks alot issue resolved used this in power shell: dcgpofix /ignoreschema /target:DC
  13. I'm i'm in a test lab enviro, playing with Server 2016. Just importing my Gpos from our existing domain.......and like a noobie "restored" my student policy over the top of my "Default Domain Controllers Policy"........ i don't have a back up..... Anybody know if the "Default Domain Controllers Policy" is just an empty GPO, or does it have pre applied settings?..... anybody have a server 2016 test lab thats able to send me the default unchanged "Default Domain Controllers Policy" please? Thanks in advance.
  14. I'd remove "Enterprise" as an option but dont know how.....
  15. Noted, i'll edit the poll cheers
  16. Gonna start looking at Windows 10 Soon..... Education,Enterprise or LTSB? My instinct says Education..... but something else is saying i should be looking at another version. What version do you use and why?
  17. So we're toying with the idea of looking at server 2016 for our hyper-v servers in the not too distant future. We plan to have OS c: as a Raid1 and the d: formatted as Refs with either a RAID 10 (or 50) config, but storage spaces is another option for the d:. Anybody using this yet on a hyper-v? (or file server)
  18. oh thank god for that..... my heart sunk alittle for a moment. cheers!
  19. I know with clients machines bought from suppliers need an oem or licensed OS. Is the same expected for server hardware? Eg if i buy a new server without an OS, but we plan to use Microsoft open volume agreement, can i install server 2012 r2 datacenter if i have declared it with my license partner? Or am i to assume that i'd need a full license version before hand? cheers
  20. Hi All, We're a Google apps for education site and don't use office 365. We used minecraftedu before Microsoft bought it and im alittle confused on what my options are now. Long story short, i was going to continue using our self hosted mincraftedu (1.7.10 build 20) instance. But after we re-imaged the room, i discovered i can longer get the installers! After looking at transitioning to the new platform, it seems that its charged at $5 per user per year and a o365 account is required. Where does this leave school that don't use o365?
  21. Sorry to hijack here..... would you have the volume that stores the vhdx on an refs file system and the vhdx formatted as ntfs in the vm?
  22. Sorry, forgot to update this. This cab is nolonger available as it has gone to a new home after shoehorning it into mini (you know who you are!)
  23. yep sorry it would be ENT not pro
  24. nah i'd nuke it and put our 7 pro image on. From memory the bios have win10home licenses hardcoded. Once re-imaged out kms would activate them.
