What do you recommend - Cloud based Library software.
Jaan replied to Jaan's topic in Educational Software
That's great thanks, So just to confirm, the students are synced to the system via wonde if the student is in bromcom. You say O365 is your method of SSO, any ideas if they support Google SSO? EDIT: Sorry just seen the Screenshot above, i can see the Google SSO there Thanks -

You use Bromcom as an MIS also? -

LOL i was just looking on Bromcom's website and its the only library system listed. NOt sure if that means it can integrate via the APIs or not yet, https://www.bromcom.com/partners -
We're looking to replace our aged Heritage software. Ideally it will need to be web based with a online library, Google SSO. We're looking to use rfid cards for students. Our MIS is Bromcom, so anything that works in with that and syncs users would be great! Not even looked myself yet so just looking for your recommendations whether positive or negative. Thanks All

Only affecting Chromebooks and Google services. Our LAN PCs/Laptop are fine. The chromebooks can access all other non Google sites fine. Login is slow also. Nothing odd on the firewall/filters. Sophos XG and wifi.

I'm having huge issues with my 5700xt since the last drivers. Green screen then reboot. Installing the latest "recommended" not "Optional" driver manual from AMD solved the issue. Be sure to change the setting in the adrenaline software to only update to recommended and not optional updates. In the past i've had issues where the adrenaline software has conflicted with something. Uninstalling everything and manually installing the GPU driver only (no adrenaline software) has resolve issues also. AMD software is really holding back their GPUs..... i went full AMD on my current build, extremely happy and impressed with my CPU. GPU is impressive, but the stability of the GPU is shocking (from a driver/software front). I'll stick to nvidia in the future. I've even had the GPU swapped out as i thought it was faulty hardware..... same issue...... put my 970 in......all fine

Ok, I need to download a file.zip from the interwebs. File.zip is 20GB!!! in size. File.zip has 3 files inside...... FileA.extension (1gb) FileB.extension (4gb) FileC.extension (15GB) How do i download just fileA.extension???? Is there a download manager that anybody knows of the could do this? It would have to intercept any "downloads" i select from a website then let me select just the files i actually need. For transparency the file.zip contains audio files in various formats & sizes (from bandcamp) Cheers

Allow a device to bypass captive portal Sophos XG
Jaan replied to Jaan's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
Sorry yes we have Sophos XG with sophos Wifi. thanks -
Short story is our ADSL backup is pointless (up 1.5mbps). Instead of getting an additional fiber as a back up, was thinking that 4g/5g might be an option. Anybody got any real life experiences with this? We have a Sophos XG and would have that doing the failover, Already in talks with providers. Just wanted to hear what you guys think? Regards John

We're currently With VM 200/200 with a 1Gbps Bearer. We also have a adsl back up with them 20/20 i think subbed to bt. Who are you using, whats your thoughts on them, whats the spec? are you able to share what you're paying? We have been with VM for 3 years and it's been rock solid......but from what i understand, it's quite expensive. We have in house filtering (Sophos XG) Cheers all

Oh right i was under the impression that bromcom had a inbuild mechanism where it automictically removed stale reports. No worries thanks for the pointers
