What private IP range do you use on your LAN switches
Jaan replied to Jaan's topic in Wired Networks
yes this, Our mgr ports are set to 192.168.x.x on the management vlan1. our l3 switch ips and Vlans are specific to the devices. Client/printers/wifi/server etc We use 10.15.20.0/22. All our mgr switches are currently on 192.168.x.x. just feel weird using 192.168.x.x on the switches, but i guess its not a issue as long as it's all vlan'd. I struggle to get my question across sometimes. -
We'll be update our switches so and want to take the opportunity to remove the switches from the 192.168.x.x range. Don't like the idea of our switches sitting on the most popular domestic IP range. Do you guys have your switches on the same IP range as you clients or a different range? If so what range would you recommend? Just thinking out loud. cheers all

[ltsb, 1809] Anybody running 1809 LTSC on 11th and 12th INTEL Cpus
Jaan posted a topic in Windows 10
We need to make the jump to the next Windows 10 build to support these CPUs. We're not quite there yet. Anybody actually running these cpu gens on LTSC 1809. Support is very different from not compatible. Thoughts please? Cheers -
We've just reissued ID cards this year. We have a number of card holders where their permissions are set to denie. HOwever they are able to access some doors. The logs say access granted, but there card/door access is set to denied. I'm confused. I have removed the card and re added it with the same outcome. Adding a new card resolves the issue....... surly it can't be a card issue. i'd have to recall all the student and stude cards! Surly it's a paxton issue? Any ideas?

I'm absolutely gutted by this. I'm a founder, and paid for pro ever since launch. we're a family of 5 and each (yes even the mrs) has a controller and multiple bought games. We played the multiplayer indie games as a family for a bit of fun every weekend for an hour or so. I'm due a big refund, enough to by a console. However i'd prefer to have stadia. The whole point for me was not to have to keep buying hardware...... even though i literally have a wardrobe full of the consoles and games i've had since being 9 (39 now!). The tech worked great! maybe just a little ahead of its time, and Google did not do enough to promote. It should have had a big TV advert push. Interesting that netflix have announced they are entering the game industry. Well done to the Stadia team though. Shame of you Google!

Is it a Datacenter scaling issue, DDOS issue, somebody unplugged something to charge their iPhone? Can't even get on https://status.bromcomcloud.com/ ATM

Yep had this. This is an open bug NC-100078 and will be fixed in v19.0.2 MR-2. I had to delete some files via ssh. in the end sophos connected via the support settings on the xg and purged the out dated certs.

Anybody else being asked to "sign in" on Google.com home page
Jaan replied to Jaan's topic in Cloud Services
-
I think a recent chrome update has maybe caused this. Even though i'm signed in, if i visit google.com it has a blue "sign in" button in the top left. If i click it to sign in, the page just refreshes as says the same thing. if i click gmail from the home page it takes me to Gmail where im signed in. Its only the google.com home page that's affected. Its causing issues as our deployed apps aren't appearing in the "waffle" menu on the home page. i have to go to gmail.google.com to see the apps in the menu. Any ideas?

A while back I had an old chromebook r11 acer i think it was. EOL so tried to put FlexOS (ChromeOS) onto it. i had to mess around and remove the write protection screw etc etc. anyway that didn't work, so i just did a manual restore using the ChromeOS recovery USB. It put the lastest ChromeOS build onto it which shocked me abit. My parents are still using it, it still doesn't get AUTOMACTIC updates, however i assume that if you do it manually you'll get a more uptodate build. Mind you i only witnessed this happening once, but might be worth a try. Looking at the Google support docs with regards to EOL and updates, it does say auto updates. EDIT: it does have a nag screen that says something along the lines of it's EOL and can't do auto updates.

I've powered down our XG and cold booted it again (can't find where they have put the clear cache buton in the GUI). However i still have the issue. if i type www.google.com into chrome i get a invalid cert (expired), however if i type www.google.es it works fine. -
