I think it's the same restrictions that apply to all TV channels. However your LEA will hold a licence that permits you to show most free to air channels in a classroom aswell as hold and show recordings. This however doesn't apply to all channels (sky channels and content produced by the OU aren't included). Many teachers don't realise this.

Just to clear it up, I think the limit is based on the value of cartridges, not quantity. Because we mostly run colour lasers and personal lasers our waste carts are fairly low value. If you're running a lot of departmental B&W lasers you should fair better. I don't know the exact details, it wasn't me who handled the matter.

Just make sure you check minimum pick up sizes with them. Our fleet mostly consists of HP 3600s, they wanted to collect a minimum of something like 50 cartridges.
