Uniservity - ideally the teachers would just upload the letters themselves - i've shown them how several times but they cant seem to cope with anything new.

Is there anyway of receiving notification of when a new file has been added to a folder on a network drive. Our school stores all letters in one location and i have to check every day to see if anything new has been added in order to upload it to our Learning Platform - just want to save myself some work

I want to be able to have a live webcam feed on a page within our Uniservity learning platform - any ideas on how to achieve this. i have tried a few things but to no avail. Just no that this is the place to ask Cheers

We dont have a science department And we have the Durable stuff Ozzy but it isn't shifting it. As to why a permanent marker is in the classroom by the IWB i don't know. More annoyed at the Y6s for just sitting back and watching her do it.

Hi all, Having a bit of a problem with a couple of users home folders. Every now and again they are unable to save to their My Documents. Looking in the permissions for the folder they have a Deny Write Data applied. I delete this and yet a few weeks later it reappears. It only happens on 4 accounts out of over 150 - what am I missing? Fairly new to all this so it has me baffled. Any suggestions?

I used to wear shirt and tie until I got my tie stuck in a printer after changing the imaging drum. The Head would still prefer me to wear I tie so i do still put one on when I do the odd bit of teaching. He moans about my trainers as well.

I have recently bought some Advent Ethernet over AC adaptors. These are working fine and I can now get PCs onto the network where it was previously impossible. However I am now getting a problem with other machines on the network. We have a mixture of W2K and XP and the XP ones take an incredibly long time to log on - the W2K are fine. This problem only happens when the Advent adaptors are active. Any ideas or suggestions about this because my joy at getting 2 more PCs working has now been replace by 6 machines refusing to log on. Hi guys, Just tried to change some settings through winsuite to allow the children access to a particular network drive. However when I go to open winsuite i get the following error "There are no NT files in the XREF" any suggestions? Thanks

Ok i've done the factory reset and allocate it a new IP address and it seems to be working now - fingers crossed. Thanks all for your help

i can ping it ok it just always shows up as offline when you go to print after the very first time you print
