IP over mains works by essentially running wifi-style signals down the mains on different frequencies, there's a lot of messing about needed to avoid interference from the mains signal itself and any other interference that's on the line.

Some CAT5 garrotting action or canned air at dawn could also work.... -
Good fitness plan: Doing my gym induction Bad fitness plan: Opening the very nice packet of double gloucester with onion and chive.....

Sensible trainers (Hi-tec "clodhoppers"), tidy trousers and a shirt. My predecessor dressed more informally, but I feel that being tidily dressed sends out a message of professionalism.

One thing that did keep me fit was my old Fantic FM 350 trials bike, mainly because it needed pushing a lot...

Please don't temp me, the thought of pies followed by ice cream is enough without chocolate sauce as well

I'm in the same boat, the plan is either to start hill walking with an MP3 player or to set up a media centre type-thing in the spare room with one of those home multigyms, bach while benchpressing sounds fun

*Smacks head on table* I should have looked closer, thanks psymon

How did you package it to deploy via GPO? I've been tearing my hair out trying to figure it out.

Input validation is always a good one

It would be more like you buying a new mondeo, fitting a turbocharger kit and nitrous then expecting the spanner monkeys at your local Ford dealer to honnour the warranty when it poked a rod through the block. Xbox Live is an MS service (is it not?) and if they don't want to support modded consoles, that's their choice.

Exactly the same one here. The manual overide is handy for half term as an I'm locking up alarm

Well in a snap change of plan due to the great information I got from you people, both deparments have plumped for Samsung Lasers, which should be ok

I don't want to jump to a conclusion here, but I personally do see some animal rights activists as terrorists and their methods can be very violent and in the case of the old lady's corpse that was exhumed, plain evil.

We're talking single PC depts, one is SEN and the other also has one PC. I considered inkjets as they would also allow colour printing which would be rather handy for SEN, but i'll have a word with the staff member involved. Insight do a £40 HP inkjet that i might take a chance with, and see how it goes.

Two of my staff have asked about printers for their rooms, i've decided on getting a couple of cheap inkjets, does anyone have any suggestions? P.S. Lexmark is a no-no after my own personal one at home nuked its own firmware many moons ago

We used a wireless solution for our music block, but that was only a sub 200m line-of-sight job. I believe my uni used directional high-gain antennas and some specialist cisco kit to connect the accomodation block in town to the uni over about 1/2 a mile, but I see serious £££ in that

My own plan was simply to arm all techs with army surplus Lee-Enfield .303s...

this might be in the wrong forum, feel freee to move it We've just had a lovely new projector placed in the hall and my SMT have allowed me to actually spend some money finalising the install with a DVD/Video combination unit to hook up. The thing is I've not really got a clue with regards to suppliers for this kind of stuff (appart from insight) thus any suggestions would help. Also has anyone had good/bad experiences with such units, and are there any recomendations?

The answer has been found I'd done the classic noob thing of not actually applying the timetable after importing it, a few fiddles to get it right and all now seems well

I'm running the september release of SIMS with a connection to bromcom and I have a problem with staff only days. We recently changed a staff-only day from the 5th to the 19th of november in SIMS school diary, and bromcom registers the new date and there is no timetable shown. The issue is with the original date, there is no timetable data in the SIMS database for this day, and I can't think of any way to force SIMS to reinstate this date as a "regular" schoolday. And to cap it all our LEA support staff are off for the week

The alternator in question isn't on a K-series Rover by any chance? I had to take an engine mount off to change mine.

- Anyone who doesn't know how to indicate properly on roundabouts - The sound of slipping engine drivebelts when the first real cold snap turns up (Get them changed you fool!) - People who drive at speeds incompatible with the road conditions (either very slowly as if they'd never seen a bend before or so fast you wonder if their self-preservation brain centre if malfunctioning) - People who force their opinions on others without trying for a concensus (sp) - People who profess to "know about cars" (i.e. they can tell you why the BMW XYZ is faster than the Audi ABC, but ask them why their car is still refusing to start when it's wet and they're stumped)

The same thing's happened here, how do I hide/disable the notification area in GPO? I so want to rain death and awfullness on microsoft at the moment...
