I just went direct to Mosyle after the trial. They send an email notification of renewal. Very easy to do.

We had some given to us by Amazon during lockdown 100 of the things. I did a bit of research came up with a sort of work around but its not an MDM and Google workspace can't manage them well not as far as I can see. I used a tool call Fire Toolbox: https://xdaforums.com/t/windows-linux-tool-fire-toolbox-v35-0.3889604/ It strips most of the amazon stuff out. Allows you to install Google play and some other apps. Other online sites I used were: https://www.howtogeek.com/232726/how-to-install-the-google-play-store-on-your-amazon-fire-tablet/ https://www.alphr.com/chrome-kindle-fire/ There is an MDM but comes with a cost: https://www.hexnode.com/mobile-device-management/fire-os/ Just a footnote, I never deployed them on mass as we didn't have an MDM and didn't want to pay for it. The images attached are what the fire 7 looks like with the setup that I did you can see what I managed to install. Personally I think its just to much hassle and gave it up as it was taking up too much time. If a kindle device is setup this way there is the issue of updates for the OS and the security risk it imposes by not getting the latest updates. Resetting the device reverts it back to a Kindle Fire but they may have a solution for that using the Fire Toolbox

A lot of you may have been up looking up towards the sky on Friday night and some of you may have been well tucked up in bed. Here are my captures from that night, take from Weardale in County Durham.

I have been with my club for a few years now, a small club of 22 at present. Our season has just closed as we only run fir 6 months of the year. I run the competitions and the club website using Google Sites, pretty basic, but provides a web presence plus its free except for the domain name registration. It's well worth being a member of a club or group as there is so much you can learn and share with others with the same interests. My partner is my biggest critic though. Nice one, well done, we mark out of 5 at out camera club. Our season has finished now but were waiting for results back from some of entries entered into the Northern Counties Federation Annuals. I put some prints in they seem to score them out of 1-15 mine came back highest being an 11. I wished I had done them in A3 in stead of A4 as most entries were A3, they just have more impact when viewed, in my opinion.

Planning and Preparation should be part of their lesson plan if they haven't done it then it's the teachers problem. I just go around collecting them when I see them lying around and place them back by their trolley, I don't have time to keep plugging them in for them, thats their job for the lessons they are needed for.

Are ESS trying to make it harder to migrate away from to SIMS?
JATSO replied to Ditto's topic in MIS Systems
No problem.[emoji846] It's all been sorted and I have been informed that the SIMs Connected element will be taken off our invoice, which is what we wanted. Just something to watch out for in the future. Hopefully they will build some kind of double check before accepting a tick in a box as full commitment.[emoji120] -
Are ESS trying to make it harder to migrate away from to SIMS?
JATSO replied to Ditto's topic in MIS Systems
The ESS portal is not something I have seen before or been involved with in the past, I was sent a notification email of our impending onboarding which was sent to Admin originally that's when I was asked the question. "Are we moving to Connected? I said "not as far as I know I will check with our local authority" Considering the profile is blank now except for the users profile with no link or way to see what was completed at the time. On speaking to the office they are adamant they only selected what they have done for past 4 years which is 2 selections for the support for OnPrem. Mistakes happen we have all made them. Hopefully it might get cancelled we live in hope, but if not they might just have to bite the bullet and see where they stand legally. Out of my hands really. -

A bit of a pointless comment and not very helpful. But thanks anyway. Not my job to check on my managers but to help them when errors or mistakes are made using IT. You've probably never ticked a wrong box before. I know I have in 23 years of doing IT. -

Going to put this one out there. We are Sims OnPrem Contract for Sims Connected added inadvertently to our current contract on the 6th Feb, thought nothing of it until we received an email on 12th February saying Onboarding for Sims Connected. Went back to ESS portal and can see nothing. Trying to cancel at the moment but not being given much hope quoting 28hrs after ticking or signing whatever it is. My question really is there a legal timeframe for contracts signed online? I was under the impression 14-28 days. Any takers please.
