Here here, It doesnt fill me with any confidence in EE here, I joined "Orange" around Feb/March here and it was noticably worse than O2 where I work for signal, now since its become EE, im getting calls dropping left right and centre in work to the point where, its not really usable or viable for me to use a mobile in work, if I am not in my office then there seems to be a slim chance I may get the call, though if it switches from 2g to 3g or does anything with the network, im getting calls dropping all the time.

Someone in work asked me about this kind of scam the other day and a few others have also asked in my time at my current school as well as several friends and family, I primarily use Linux (windows now and again for gaming/iphone stuff) and havent ever received a call so I cant play with the people and taunt them:( , these comantra scams are seemingly increasing with their attempts lately I have noticed. In a way I think its a good thing that they have people like me in work to ask about stuff like this, the last one to ask was obviously worried as their teenage son had taken the call when both parents were at work, he thinks he may have been sucked in a bit, and its a shared family computer in their home so he was a bit concerned. I explained the premise that none of these companies would ever call you unsolicited with any problems that you have like this, but its worrying that this stuff is on the rise again.

I felt sorry last night when I caught up on it all as I was offline until about 8pm, I know a few people, my sister being one of them, who just shelled out £479 about 6 weeks ago for a 32gb ipad (which she isnt unhappy about at all), but to me it seems that to supersede a device 7 months into its product cycle is a bit of a shabby thing to do I felt there, that probably could have been held off until at least a 12 month, it is a bit of a kick in the teeth I felt for people who do invest in their technology platform. It seems to me that apple are a bit lost in the post Jobs era, though I do admire them in a certain respect for their admittance after seeing that the smaller tablets indeed had a future and a bustling market, it is only right that they should want to get in to it, that being said, they are priced quite high in the market compared to the likes of the Nexus, so it will be interesting to see how it performs, no doubt there will be people who will leap at the chance to get their hands on a mini and with education it offers a cheaper alternative to the current iPad, so that cant be bad either. Personally for me, I will be going back to android after this contract is up on my iPhone and I will also be looking to get a Nexus 7 for myself around christmas I think, all going well, I would rather open source than ecosystem after seeing it first hand. That being said, the new iMac and Mac Mini I both find strangely impressive as well here.

As I said earlier If you just want asset management with spiceworks it is free and works quite well and you can work around issues easily enough (the network scanning is ok for fixed devices on your network and the fact that you can manually add in any other assets too is really helpful as well, you dont have to use the network scanning either, its not compulsory). It is not hard to input the other devices and assets that dont network scan either, (I am in process of adding in our whiteboards as an example and its not hard on input once you set the initial stuff up for a different device) schools make it a bit easier I think as most computers are probably very similar specs and models anyway (though obviously not 100% of schools are like this). Spiceworks can be a resource hog when network scanning thats true and you can improve its performance as well on your network, by just turning all unnecessary other scan and network settings off on the program (things like warranty scanning/network health/cloud services) and making sure it scans at a point of the day when your user base is quite low on your network and it can be used without any massive issues. If its laptops and netbooks, if you wanted to use the network scan initially you only have to arrange scans when those devices are on, it can be done with planning, as once their in the database, they dont have to be scanned over and over to feature in your inventory, you could even time that to a point where you push out updates to the devices if you do them automatically to limit any impact on your network, you can also specify things like specific IP ranges to scan, which can help you scan devices of a certain class at a certain time with ease, but as with everything its down to the end user and how you want to use the program, for us where I work, its working very well here and it doesnt have any specific cash costs with using it. SAM did look nice when he was showing us it, but it was a bit of overkill for us I felt, as we are not a massive secondary school where I am working and generally we try to keep our operating costs down where possible.

I had someone cold call the other day trying to sell us school asset manager (usual receptionist is off work atm, so the call came through), I basically listened to the pitch then told them no thanks, because of its costs but also because we used spiceworks for our inventory management within the school I work in, having recently set that up, its free and does everything you would want off an inventory management program, takes a little bit of setting up but works lovely when you have it running, only thing I would say, it can be a resource hog so if you have a spare PC around, put it on there rather than on one you regularly work on, because it will slow your PC down if you install it on there. edit: Offer price sounds above for SAM about the same we were quoted, but as our school only has a few wireless hotspots it wasnt worth the money for us.

Thats the trouble with FB I think, its gone now that they are far too intefering now into your information and how its displayed and interacted with, countless times they forced changes on the user and I noticed myself that it has even started suggesting random strangers as friends when I was on there last (majority of them seemed to look like worrying/serial killer types when I was on last ).

I absolutely agree and think its just not worth the effort, I have accounts with FB/G+ and twitter (I pretty much closed them down as I had grown tired of them last year) Facebook I had an especially big issue with, because if a friend posts something gruesome or a particularly nasty image (a picture relating to tropical insect infestation on a human was the absolute turning point for me) or stupid images then there is no active censorship, its just "WHAM" look at this image so and so pasted on your news feed. I find after coming off them I read them barely at all these days and personally I am much happier for it. I quite like google+ but its just not popular enough. FB I went back onto recently to post about the little boy we now have on the way, as the wife and I obviously wanted to share that information with friends (I dont generally have "randoms" at all on my FB, people have to know me to be on mine, no passing acquaintances or anything as such) but even now, I think that its gone absolutely horrendous, full of spam, adverts and sh*t quite honestly, its not a fun thing when you have to spend your first ten minutes blocking posts/spam on anything. Twitter I like because of the fact its short and sweet and you can choose whether or not you look at something on there or trust the link off a person, rather than the "WHAM HAVE A LOOK AT THIS APPROACH" on FB, but even that is dependent on who your following on there I think, I am finding no reason really to go on there these days either.

that is very offputting to me the amount of dailies, like blizz would say, you dont have to do them, but to me their "easy content", my friend is finally back of honeymoon now which is good and hes enjoying the first few zones, I am interested to see how he would enjoy townlong steppes and dread wastes, I started losing the will to live in dread wastes, because it was basically, go kill this amount of insect men, wake a paragon, kill another 800 insects, then kill some Sha demons and go release another paragon, rinse and repeat what basically started in townlong with the mantid creatures, I know questing isnt going to be changing that much as its a core to the game, but at least in the earlier areas they tried to make it a bit more fun by doing things like the "shokia" chain with the hozen where you could be a sniper and so on, after kun-lai I felt it got very linear to level, dont know about anyone else. That being said I am enjoying my orc hunter again now, cant wait to level it up now im off outland and on Frostwhisper horde with it.

I really like the look of this aside from win8 (not 100% keen on metro), Baby on the way has put the clamp on my daft spending on gadgets though for the next 18 years onwards I think, at least if I talk with the mrs about it

School here where I work, just a little over 1 million pages printed, 880k of them were black and white, where as a little over 125k were colour with us. Thats including all our managed printers (MFDs and classroom printers - which we try to minimise / charge individual departments for their toners) 20 Printers in total of which - 12 were MFDs, although since then we amalgamated a few of them and didnt renew the devices when contracts came around, after myself and my line manager went through the costs, the rentals werent being covered by the departmental printing bills on some of them, so were costing us too much.

I have decided to xfer my hunter and priest off outland horde now to frostwhisper, I am enjoying playing my hunter at the moment and getting him levelled, I was pretty bored and alone on Ragnaros, seems since my RL mate got married, hes doing other stuff and being alone in a guild is a bit rubbish in this game, no matter of the perks Druid is alright, tanking is easy enough, but I dont think theres enough in this game to keep me entertained more than a couple of months I think here, I dont fancy grinding out no end of dailies for rep either, I havent liked them all along, because of the tedium involved in making the game repetitive, we shall see though how it goes.

It is something that people just don't seem to do here, I've been to the toilet in restaraunt's and bars and people just don't wash their hands, which really does make you wonder, door handles and taps are a bit of a nightmare in public places because of that. I personally have a thing about keeping my hands clean too, if I open a computer case and its all dusty, I will make sure as soon as I close it up I get the hands and forearms clean, I think it comes from a brief period I worked in a hospital years back, I just got into the habit of it, (also the four months I worked there one summer, I had a pretty much permanent cold/sore throat, which doesnt help, seems the healthier you are in hospital the more the bacteria cling to you)

voice chat doesnt work if your using the 64 bit client anyway, I always preferred an external comms program, like vent/mumble myself.

O2 has been fine around here, but I am having slightly different troubles, I am now on orange, I switched from O2 not long back, on my site in the last couple of weeks, since the change to EE primarily, I notice that I am having massive problems with signal in my site and calls dropping and being cut off, especially when the phone switches from 3G, I have an iphone 4s, has anyone else had similar problems ?

Thats the problem with my guild at the moment, to all intents and purposes its dead, im waiting on my RL mate to come back online so we can decide whether we stay or go join another more active guild, I kind of miss having people to chat to in guild at the moment, that being said im planning on getting into the expansion a fair bit the weekend to hopefully try LFR, heroics are easy enough I think, pull one pack at a time, kill and move on, same as WOTLK really, no difficulty and I appreciate that there isnt a seperate gear level like in dragon soul, i.e. going from 330 to 346 gear level, just straight in to heroics.

I did a heroic last night funny enough in the hour I was on (440 level gear here at the moment), I am happy enough at the moment with druid tanking, though not overjoyed at active avoidance, I think I can persevere, I trawled and got the full set of trinkets too from Direbrew (bit of a pain being a druid and having that utility means you need all of them), I see it seems that heroics are pretty easy in this expansion, bit like wotlk so far the dungeons feel, though I love how they have made scholomance more linear now and SM as well from my priest pre-expansion, seems to be a lot better and less confusing. They need to do that with a few of the older dungeons at the moment, wailing caverns is one thats actually a nightmare to traverse when your levelling, I will see how I go on dailies, because to me they seem to make the game a chore, but ill give them a try nonetheless.

Hail the space goats I am still 89 here and about 4 bars off dinging, I had another weekend filled up with fixing laptops for people that by and large are actually not smart enough to use the internet, in that people thought things like "Free Coupons/Web Price Checker/Offers/PC Speed checkup/Search Toolbar" were awesome things to download. I do believe the internet should be licensed after the two laptops I had to restore. I am hoping to get 90 tonight finally, not sure if I want to go tank/tree here (I am not especially brilliant at moonkin/feral dpsing) though I can see myself just levelling up my priest next as I am not 100% convinced that a druid is for me in its current state (it feels wrong to me tanking now with this "active mitigation", the 55 rage costs far too high to use SD, I have to practically sit there for about 5 seconds saving rage to drop that ability at the loss of threat.

my druid has the alternative coloured stormrage set, I am missing the cenarion chest off the full set there too, I go through some classic dungeons from time to time picking up pieces, have a paladin horde on outland with full sets of lawbringer and my warr on ragnaros, has full sets of different gear, really depends on how bored I am on a char how much classic gear I have

my friend has farmed a couple of the alternative coloured armours from TBC on his DK, so his orc looks like a purple/pink paladin, though after 85 you can solo through a lot of old raids and get pieces here and there. Outland gear will not be up to much until you get to about 64/65, with the way mobs are, I dare say you can probably hack through everything bar elites until your in your 70s with that gear, it had decent stat distribution on it, far and above anything vanilla like.

me and my RL friend are on Ragnaros Horde at the moment, only two of us in the lvl 25 guild and my mate is on his honeymoon, so just me levelling for now, will probably find a guild with a bit more of a population in when he gets back, as all the people in old guild which we migrated seem to have given up wow for GW2 here. I used to be Alliance, up until pre-cataclysm on Outland, but suffered burnout and fancied a complete change, so I faction changed when a guild my friend and I were in died, havent looked back or regretted it, most realms I have been on seems that horde are older and more mature (at least in that you dont get muppets spamming trade channels when your in a city at all like the old "a**l" dirge spam you used to see. For the horde !
