For MSN, right click the shortcut, and go to Properties, then click the Compatibility tab, choose Windows Vista, and it'll sit where it should in the notification area. You will need to customize the notification area icons so it will always be displayed. "Show icon and notifcations" is what your after. Not used Skype but you could try that method aswell? One thing to note, if you have MSN or Skype pinned to the taskbar then they will still appear even with this workaround in use due to how the superbar now works. I've read that it is active for users of MSDN AA such as myself, only, we have to wait unitl the head of our university, that being, the person who manages it for the university puts it up. Chances are many staff will be only holiday so people like me will have wait.

I use VMware for this. Setup a new "Team" and in the initial setup of it, it enquires if you want to create a LAN Segment, choose yes, at the next screen your VM's are listed, just tick the box corresponding to LAN1. Typing this from memory by the way:)

Yip, it has support for these. One thing to be aware of when joining them to WiFi is that when they go to sleep they do tend to drop the WiFi connection. When the phone is brought back up again it will then reconnect to the WiFi point.

I must be one of the babies here then. First got a glimpse of Windows 95 (I think) at my dads work when I was around 6. Played Galactics the whole time. Then we got our own PC in the winter of 98 so had 98SE. I had grown to 8 and a half and can remember the screams of my dad when I shifted the taskbar to the left of the screen. In the proceding years I would then outdo my dads skills on the PC and the tables turned where he would (and stil does) ask me for help. In 2004 I finally persuaded him to get XP, still on the same 98SE machine though. A 400Mhz Processor, 320MB SDRAM and a 15GB HDD was the power. Then another PC was bought with XP and this was where my knowledge took off. I done so much to that poor machine between installing Server 2003 and a local domain for the house and slapping group policies on the parents. Then came Vista, and boy did I love that thing, gorgeous interface and (at least for me) great performance, enojed using it alot and still will with my student license. Been using WIndows 7 since it first became err avaialble to the public and love it. Very much as someone on here mentioned Vista Gti. I am now 19. Must say I have enjoyed my travels thorugh Microsft OS's and hope for a good few more down the road.

I am but it misses little features such as an Edit button for your own posts and none of the details show up when you go into someones profile.

You will have to go into Device Manager to add it manually. Start>Control Panel>System - switch to the Hardware tab then open Device Manager. In the list find the network card listed (should have an exclamation mark) and right click on it, choose Update Driver Software. Click Browse my Computer for Software>Let me pick from a list....> Choose Network Adaptors, then Have disk. just browse to where the .inf file was extracted to. Accept any prompts regarding signed drivers.

Terrible tbh. I'm sure there would be a fair amount of advertising going on, remembering that Google is afterall a business. I they aren't charging for this 'OS' then how will they make their money?

Couple of quick SQL license questions here. 1) Can SQL Express be used in a corporate environment? 2) Does a user need to have a SQL CAL in order to use the reporting services through HTML, using a full SQL server backend i.e. not express edition. Thanks in advance.

I assume it's the message that XP pops up informing the program is still running (or words to that effect) and it can be forcibly closed by pressing End Now. First thing I would look for are any add-ons that shouldn't be there? What version of Flash are you running? I hear 10 can cause many issues, so if it is that then reverting to the more stable version 9 may be of a help.

It's pretty sad but at the same time, these are ladies who don't seem to want to detach from motherhood. With a monkeys constant need for attention and with it not wanting to leave home, it makes some sense.

Have a look in the BIOS. There may be a setting in there that resets it. Am thinking this as my laptop has a setting to automatically turn on the wifi even if I have turned it off. Unlikely for a touchpad but at least rule that out.
