Have you got modern authentication enabled? When you say Skype isn't auto logging on - is that because the email address isn't auto populating or is it prompting for the password?

At the moment the organisation isn't in a position for that. Some of these remote sites have an awful internet connection. In addition there are lots of legacy systems.

Hello, I have spun up a trial of 3CX hosted by 3CX them selves. I am wondering if it is possible to pay 3CX and keep this please? It will be easier than hosting an instance in Azure. I am assuming not but worth an ask. Thanks

Can you post screenshots of the smoothwall config as well as the Cisco config please? Smoothwall might not be able to help if it is something not right on the Cisco.

You can do that or you can simply put it in a VLAN. I would do the latter as it's much more flexible.

You can. You need to do 2 things. On the Cisco switch you use the following command. Replace 10.115.1.1 with the IP of your Smoothwall. conf t ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.115.1.1 On the Smoothwall you need to set a route back. I can't remember the exact location. On that setting you enter the mask that covers your VLANS. The gateway is the IP address of the VLAN configured on the Cisco 3560 that your Smoothwall sits in.

Thanks for the replies. I didn't expect driver support to be an issue. Maybe best get a USB NIC? I would be using SSD anyway - trying to reduce the risk of call outs. The price of an SSD will easily outweigh the cost of a last minute flight and lost man hours. Thanks again

Hello, As some of you may know I am managing an organisation in Australia that has a number of site. Some of these are in the "outback" with a small number of computers (10 - 15). I am looking to implement SCCM in the organisation. For these remote sites I am looking to install Intel NUC devices as SCCM distribution points for the following reasons. 1. These sites don't have on site servers and the NUCs can fit into the comms cabinet. 2. Some of these sites require a plane ride for IT Staff to get there (unless we drive 8 hours there and 8 hours back!). So a NUC will be nice and lightweight. 3. We can use a model with vPro and remote access the device even if it isn't booting into Windows. 4. I can have separate SSD for the OS and Storage. I am just wondering what your thoughts are please? Do you think these NUCs will last being on 24x7? Do you have another suggestion maybe? I did look at using Thin Clients instead to get around needing a DP on site. However there are a number of mobile workers with laptops that will need to the ability to work offline. Thanks

Hello, I have a Windows 10 laptop with a 1920x1080 screen. When setting the screen scaling to either 125 or 150% is makes some of the text appear blurred. Does anyone know how to fix this please? Googling doesn't have anything conclusive. Thanks

The specs of your old servers seem the wrong way around. SIMS needs more grunt than a DC. What spec are you looking at for your new virtual machines?

I would go POE for a few reasons. 1. Don't need an electrician. 2. Can easily reset the controller of needed by disabling the switchport or unplugging the cable at the switch. Much better than going into the ceiling.

The good thing about getting a point to point is that you will only need an internet connection at one of the sites. This can save some money.

My advice would be not to do an in place upgrade but create a new server and migrate the data. What does the server do?

I haven't seen them since writing this. False alarm!

But these are visitors. I worked in UK schools from 2007 until recently and there wasn't any need for a form etc to connect to visitors WIFI. Some of the schools were graded by Ofsted as outstanding.
