  1. Thanks for the reply. We have Amazon here! [emoji846]
  2. I would trust those identity providers more than using a login secured by Capita (although now it no longer is…).
  3. Hello, I am looking for a some good quality cables to charge my iPhone. I am thinking of getting one for home, one for the car and another for my backpack. I have used Anker stuff in the past the quality has been good. But at $20 each - $60 seems a little OTT for some cables. I was wondering if anyone has tried some alternatives you can suggest please? Thanks.
  4. You should split everything into 2 categories. Incidents - something is broken. Requests - request for a product or service. Eg: Computer fails to boot - incident. Web filter not blocking sites it should - incident. Request to install software - request. Reset a password - request. Incidents usually get priority over requests.
  5. We have hundreds of Unifi Nano HD access points across 18 physical sites. They work really well. Never had any issues. One thing to watch out for is reseller make next to no money on Ubiquiti products so many give a negative view....
  6. A splitter only splits the same image so they will be identical on both screens. You should be able to use that HDMI port to extend the screen. If you need 2 x VGA instead of 1 x VGA and 1 x HDMI you could use this HDMI to VGA adapter. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/234188122329?hash=item3686b328d9:g:iPIAAOSwa85hQgsG Thanks
  7. So they are behind on security updates?
  8. Maybe a regional thing? Generally a performance hit is noticeable when visiting some websites (for smaller organisations) that are based in the UK.
  9. Hi, I am finding the site is pretty slow at the moment. It's taking ages to open pages. This is on a gigabit internet connection so it should be more than enough! Other sites (such as Reddit) are fine. Not sure it's everyone or maybe just a people in Australia? Thanks
  10. I missed a few patches. I installed the September batch on Windows 10 and had 0 issues. Although I suspect patching the print server will cause the issue?
  11. Hello, Could we look at renaming this forum to something a little more current. A PDA is pretty historic now. A Netbook was a mini x86 computer so personally I think it shouldn't have been in here in the first place. People keep placing iPad related posts in the Mac forum. Probably because there isn't anything else suitably named. Maybe we could name it something like: "Tablets & Smartphones"? Cheers
  12. Probably not what you want to hear but maybe upgrade the device? Its 6 versions behind and hasn't seen any security updates for years.
  13. For business it’s cheaper to go Office 365 per user than it is going via Volume Licence.
  14. I would setup a good redundant WAN and have servers in 1 central location. We have 19 sites are the moment and there are no local servers at all. The is no need at all to have local.
  15. 13 years later... I don't think I am a young one anymore!
  16. It seems like these issues only impact the print server. At least there is something to be thankful for!
  17. We are using Type 3 drivers and the printers map ok.
  18. Hello, Using this I have managed to reverse the Supersedence of KB5005260. https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/configuration-manager-blog/supersedence-and-expired-software-updates/ba-p/2471045
  19. This has probably been one of the worst batch of patches I have ever done!
  20. Hello, I did actually install it manually on my test machines and it worked fine. I could push it out via SCCM (need to figure out a query). Ideally I will look for a way to override SCCM telling me I can’t download it. Did Microsoft make a mistake here or is this me missing something? I can’t be the only one facing this issue surely? Cheers.
  21. I am not 100% sure, I would have to check tomorrow. We have a lot of printers so I would guess both. Does this only impact type 3 or something? I haven't yet no. I installed all the patches and nothing else. I then tested to see what happens and everything was fine!
  22. Hello, I am looking to install KB5005565 on Windows 10 2004. Reading this article on the Microsoft website there is a prerequisite. This applies to a number of our machines. Particularly those recently imaged as we don't have the latest updates on the image. I head over the SCCM to find KB5005260 has been superseded. It is telling me it has been superseded by KB5005565 (the update I am trying to install in the link above). The Windows Update Catalog confirms this. I am stuck in a loop! I can't install KB5005565 without KB5005260. SCCM won't let me deploy the superseded update. Does anyone have any thoughts please? Thanks
  23. Hello, For other reasons we are a couple of months behind on patching. (I know!) Anyway, on a freshly imaged test machine we have updated to 2021-09 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 2004 for x64-based Systems (KB5005565). Our printers are deployed to users from the print server. So I was expecting to have issues with the drivers installing once this update had been deployed. However, everything on the test machines seems fine. The drivers hadn't previously been installed - it was a clean image. Have I missed something? Thanks
  24. Boring ..
  25. Are you using the custom URL? eg: https:outlook.com/domain.com
