To be fair larger organisations are going to have other plans in place already. Modern fire panels use SIM cards. Plus if there is a fire it’s best to call 999 outside the building on a mobile than inside on a landline.

I think you miss understood. The copper won't be replaced. The cabling will still be there but it won't be used for phones anymore. It will be used for the internet only. If people choose they can then use VOIP over that internet connection. Many VDSL routers (used for fiber to the cabinet) have a built in ATA so many won't really notice the difference.

They did this in Australia when they rolled out NBN - the UK equivalent of fibre to the premises, fibre to the cabinet and Virgin Coax. I don’t know anyone (including retired relatives) at all who has a landline phone. It just seems to be businesses who continue to use landline phone numbers (via SIP).

Hello, I am wondering if anyone has upgraded to version 18 of 3CX please? If so how was your experience please? Did everything go ok? I am wondering about options for upgrading the desktop client. I am thinking a staged approach as it's quite a big change. Updating some sites first then other later. Thanks

I have seen strange issues with Stone computers that has ASUS boards. Some of them were fixed with a BIOS update. Have you tried this? It's one of the main reasons I stick to the likes of Dell, Lenovo & HP.

Does anyone have a method of exporting the print drivers from the server please? I intend to push them out via SCCM. Export-WindowsDriver will probably print everything out. I did export to file form the management console and they not in a format that is easy to work with. We are using both Type 3 & 4 drivers. Thanks

Australian drivers are nutters. This happened around 20 mins from where I live.

What model phone is it? Have you checked the phones IP address isn't blacklisted? This can happen if a phone is plugged in for a deleted extension. The PBX blacklist the IP due to the amount of authentication failures. Off top of my head they are located here: Admin > System Admin > Intrusion Detection
