My first insurance policy was TPFT but last time I looked into those, they worked out more expensive than the Fully comp. I strongly disagree with those 'Monitoring' widgets but having one of those can help young, relatively inexperienced drivers keep the costs down.... Although I wouldn't blame anyone for frothing at the mouth in rage over having their driving monitored. It's a bit too 'Big Brother is watching' for my tastes...

When I was a child, the land the Ageas Bowl is on used to be a working dairy farm. My best friends Dad ran it. I spent many a happy summer picking blackberries and eating Barley on that property. Ageas Bowl was the worst thing to happen to that land!

I disagree re: The Green Triangle. IMO the Orange Chocolate Crunch is the worst! I love the fruit creme ones, but the Orange crunch is just so unnecessary.

I stumbled across the Servants of Fate and Reliquary series by Sarah Fine - they are engaging and fascinating, although probably more aimed at the 'psychological romance' reader crowd.

I don't bother with screen protectors, but I tend to buy flip covers that fasten with a magnet catch so the screen always stays covered. But that's just me.

I know! Me too! I hate animal cruelty! It makes me sick! Tiny silver lining, though: As awful as this experience was for him, at least cutting the spines wasn't agonisingly painful or permanent. Once he's shed his spines and grown new ones, he'll be back to his old spiky self.

My Fiance wears Magnum army boots from the Army Surplus store (or Amazon). They go up quite high size-wise and they're good, solid boots. Under trousers they look pretty normal. Worth a look for work. Can't help you with casual though as he's only a 10. One of my cousins is a 15 though but he's in the Army so he mostly wears Magnum boots too lol.

Not sure if it's relevant but JANet has been subject to sustained and repeated DDoS attacks in the last few days - it's playing havoc with edu networks.

The Irony is that I've bought 100's of £s of PC kit before and had it left in the recycle bin on bin collection day, but I knew the bin would be okay for this parcel because it wasn't due to be emptied until the following week. I don't normally have an issue with Parcelfarce but I recently purchased some Corsets from Corsets UK in their sale. I'm a cosplayer and I'm fat - nothing kinky or sexy about me buying steel boned scaffolding, just practicality. In the 'Delivery instructions' box, I put 'Leave parcel in Recycle bin' - out the front of our house we have two recycle bins tucked down by the gate, behind my car (which stays on the driveway during the week because I commute by train). It was a relatively low value parcel so I wasn't too worried about them leaving it there. I get home to find a card saying 'Left with No $Neighbour' - Us and Number $ are on pretty good terms so I wasn't overly worried.... Until I knocked on the door. They have a dog - a Collie/German Shep cross (I think). Turns out, she got hold of my parcel and SHREDDED the packaging... Thankfully my items weren't damaged but I wouldn't be able to return them because they'd been torn out of the bags and the labels ripped off... Luckily I've been buying corsets from there for a long time so I knew they would fit. But even so, my 3 new corsets were left strewn on my neighbours' floor. So now, because ParcelFarce couldn't read the big 'LEAVE IN RECYCLE BIN' message on the label, my neighbours now know I buy (and wear) steel boned corsets... cosplay or not, it is still 'underwear' and I'm really embarrassed that they saw it because a) their dog is destructive and b) ParcelFarce can't read simple instructions.... As for Hermes, we have a 'Hermes Parcel shop' at the Co-Op just over the road - it's SO handy. I just have all my Hermes parcels sent there - they seem to deliver there more reliably.

7 Layer OSI model. Could also put in a trick question about Layer 8 errors ;-P See if they have a sense of humour... I'd probably ask about SSH and TLS, certificate chain handling, packet sniffing, authentication protocols, best practice where switches and stuff are concerned. That kind of thing.

I think it depends on what you want from your career. The bonus to having broad, but shallow knowledge is that it makes you more versatile and so the RANGE of jobs available to you is larger, but the career prospects are limited. Deep, but narrow knowledge means you are competing against a smaller pool but the pressure is greater because if you are only good at limited things you need to be REALLY good. But it does have the potential to take you far. But you'll always need to stay on the top of your game. Personally, I prefer broad but shallow. That's my personal preference and my own strengths lie in capitalising on my versatility. But I think it depends what you want for yourself.

Better than a Gimp mask I guess... Although I'm not sure the 'School' you work at is quite the same as the kinds of 'School' the rest of us are used to... Corporal punishment was banned in our schools years ago - I suspect it's a reward at yours :-P

I work in HE and the breadth of fashion choices here is staggering. Personally, I go for 'Nice' Jeans (Black, Ironed, no rips or worn patches), a Tunic top and a cardi. I prefer 'decent' shoes or smart boots - you'll never see me in trainers. My colleagues run the full gamut from T-shirt, shorts and scrubby trainers to full on suits. The average is 'Shirt and Chinos' with some variation on black 'walking trainer' type shoes or leather shoes. Surprisingly, in such a multicultural environment I see little in the way of Cultural clothing choices - most people just opt for 'decent casual'. There are several 'tiers' of dress code here - Upper management and Senior Academics are expected to wear more formal clothing, whilst support staff, Non-academic, Non-management staff are freer - to a point, but it's a very very flexible point. Other support staff have a uniform of sorts, or are supplied with branded Polo shirts, Fleece jackets and stuff. Usually you'll find anyone that has a role that involves roaming campus or coming into contact with Students will have a branded Uniform - Estates and Facilities, the AV and IT techs that aren't desk-based, etc.
