However, the problem I have with this is that in Column B I have a list of server names I want to link to other worksheets within the workbook, BUT when I create hyperlinks to other parts of the document, I click on the server name and the workbook jumps to the location in the document (GREAT) BUT also opens RDP with the server name (NOT GREAT). I have specified my cell range in the Column C macro so I don't know why it's applying to column B too :-(

Hi all, I hope there is a VBA script wizard that can help me with this. I have a spreadsheet containing a list of servers and their IPs. Each server has a sub-workbook where I am tracking daily/weekly resource usage for capacity planning purposes (long story). I need to do the following: In the column containing the IP addresses, I need to format the IP address into a hyperlink that, when clicked, automatically launches MSTSC with the /admin permissions. So the command line command would be mstsc /v:111.222.333.444:3389 /admin I have done a web search and found various solutions that use the 'reference active cell' but a) can't seem to get these to work and b) I have to hotkey them to get them to operate and this spreadsheet will be shared with other technicians in the department - I don't want to have to train everyone on how to use it. I just want them to be able to click on the RDP link and RDP will open and prompt for Creds (or if they already have them saved for that machine, it will just go through automatically). I'm afraid I know almost nothing about writing VB scripts or macros. It's not the end of the world if we can't do it but I've seen it done before so I'm pretty sure it's possible, it's just waaaaaay beyond my meagre abilities. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I recently restrung a deckchair using Paracord. I recommend looking for 'Paracord projects' on Pinterest. Instead of knotting, just use teeny cable ties. The Hammock is a good plan.

Lack of discipline. Feral kids who have no fear of authority or the consequences of their actions. 2nd or 3rd generation kids born from parents too weak or ineffectual at establishing said fear of consequences. Why? Because if you dare to spank your child you get hauled up for child abuse. The nanny state and this culture of fear over disciplining children has resulted in generations of parents who lack the ability to control their brats and a generation of kids who realise they can do whatever they like without practical consequences. Why exercise caution over your actions when the worst you get is 2 minutes sitting on the bottom of the stairs? Don't get me wrong, beating the out of your child is wrong. But most parents - especially working parents who have to rely on child minders are not able to establish a consistent pattern of discipline. I recently read an interesting article on disciplining your kids like a video game - immediate consequences and no negotiation. Defining discipline on a set of 'rules' similar to video game logic. The problem with that is that as soon as you go back to work on Monday and the child minder takes over with her permissive attitudes and fear of getting reported for child abuse all the hard work you've done over the weekend is quickly stripped away. In today's economy where it is very hard for most working families to survive on a single wage (or impossible), one parent is no longer 'full time' with the children so it becomes harder to maintain consistent disciplinary environments. What would earn the child a 'penalty' at home is ignored elsewhere so it's no wonder that kids have no respect for authority. Then you have the parents who either don't KNOW how to do it effectively or don't CARE.

No - Energy saving bulbs are rubbish. They buzz too. That being said, I have a couple of Energy-saving daylight bulbs in my craft room and they are pretty good. I'm told LED bulbs are fantastic. We plan to replace all our little 'blade-style' bulbs with the LED versions.

I'm not objecting so much to the whole 'Eco friendly' initiative as the fact that I find it grating that the 'EU', this big faceless 'bad guy' is dictating how people live their lives. It feels like a war of attrition. They'll keep adding restrictions one at a time until we're all living spartan, identical lives. Think 'Equilibrium' style. To each their own. I can't stand small dogs. Horrible yappy nasty little things. They stink too. Anything smaller than a Labrador should be banned. That fat Ginger cat is either being neglected or is a stray. Animal welfare initiatives do require animals to be vaccinated/immunised and treated for Fleas. Cats will be cats and it doesn't matter what their owners do (we provide ours with a litter tray for example, but I can't force him to use it and the bag of cat poo left on my drive the other day says that one of our neighbours is taking a passive-aggressive approach to my cat using his garden as a toilet. I'd rather he just talk to me). If I were you and this cat were heavily flea infested, I'd contact the RSPCA as this is clearly a welfare issue. If the cat is a stray/abandoned/neglected they can take him and treat him, if it is being poorly cared for they can work with the owner to ensure it gets the right treatments. You CAN get the hose out but not every cat cares - mine loves water and regularly paddles in puddles. He's always coming in with wet, muddy feet. It's funny though - you say cats are dirty yet when you pet a dog, your hand comes away stinking and grimy but petting a cat doesn't leave dirt or a smell at all. I'm told that Gypsies hate cats because they have 'rules' that define what is a 'clean' animal vs what is a dirty one and if the animal grooms itself then it is considered 'dirty' but if it requires external grooming (like Horses for example) then it is considered 'clean'. For what it's worth, the cheap Bob Martin Spot on treatments are next to useless. Frontline is pretty good but not infallible but the best one I've encountered so far is 'Advocate' - it is a prescription only treatment I get from my vet and my cat has NEVER had fleas, ticks or ear mites since I've been using it. Whilst I disagree strongly with this (mostly on principle), I'd like to point out that most Vacuum cleaners are pretty pants where pet hair is concerned anyway - despite marketing to the contrary. The most efficient and best method I've ever encountered for removing Cat Fur/my hair/Rabbit Fur from carpet is an old fashioned rubber broom. I kid you not. Vacuum the room then go over it with a rubber broom. You'll be shocked. @sparkeh I'm not sure which alternate dimension your Vax pet vacuum came from but mine is pretty useless. Not as useless as our Russell Hobbs upright, but still not great. It's not exactly like I have a Persian cat either - my Cat is short haired and he's pretty good at self grooming and I rarely manage to groom a handful from him when I take a brush to his coat. Our Buck Rabbit on the other hand.... I could stuff a cushion with his fur but thankfully he lives outside and our Doe and her Babies are the same as Enzo - I never get much off them during grooming. I often think that we shouldn't rely on the Vacuum cleaner as ultimately it just 'sucks stuff up' if you really want to pull up all the crap on the carpet you need a stiff brush. I've done the same. As a matter of fact I maintain the exorbitantly priced 'Amazon Prime' service SPECIFICALLY to avoid YODEL as almost all of my Amazon Prime deliveries are either Parcelforce (who are pretty good 80% of the time and at least aren't as hard to collect from as YODEL) or DPD.

They turned up exactly when they said they would, handled the package with the appropriate amount of care you would expect when delivering a glass hob, were courteous and helpful about where I wanted the hob put.
