That is awesome! I love the simplicity of it. It looks quite durable as well - the filter is metal not easily-torn mesh. I can't say I drink coffee enough to justify that sort of investment, but it's still a great idea. LF investors for my safety-network-cable project ;-P

That was amazing. It was exactly what I experienced up the point where I called them on it. I did in fact tell them that I was running Linux, but they said my BT line (I'm with Virgin Media) had been 'reporting' viruses from a windows box... When I told them I knew they were scammers and wasn't going to fall for it the conversation became very nasty. I tried to hang up. Several times in fact, but he wouldn't terminate the call his end so my phone line was kept busy. I couldn't call out, couldn't end the call, anything. He'd ring back and shout at me through my answering machine. When I turned the answering machine function off, he'd just ring repeatedly. In the end I disconnected my phone at the wall. Which wasn't ideal as I was waiting for another call from my GP over something else. I'd recommend not bothering to engage them. Inform them they have the wrong number and hang up. Virgin were very unhelpful when I asked them to ban the 'private caller' number - they said they can either ban ALL 'private' numbers - which would include my employer as their calls come through as 'Private number' or none at all... Well I can't have my employer banned from phoning me can I? When I phoned them to report the call I used their lack of help to get me a free number change. So far *touches wood* I've not had any marketing calls at all. I pity the next person to be given that number. I told Virgin to blacklist it as unusable but they said they couldn't do that. So bascially the problem is going to be bounced around causing people distress and potentially scamming some IT illiterate and costing people money to change their number. Great service Virgin, really great.

Americans have very few roundabouts but complex intersections with strange traffic light rules... Roundabouts FTW. Although that being said, I've found it is easier to get out on a roundabout with an odd number of exits than one with an even number.

I am similar but mine was the 'PIN' attached to one of those ancient chargecards BT used to do so kids could make free phone calls home in an emergency - it's sad but I can still remember the lengthy number PLUS the prefix. Although it is nice to see that it doesn't match any of the aforementioned trends so in this case it was worth keeping. LOL back in the days before mobile phones. Now I feel old.

I've made a start. I levelled my Panadaran Monk to level 11 just to see what it was like - so far pretty 'feral druid-y'. I won't say roguey because I loathe playing rogues, it's much more like Cat-druid but I am really liking the 'Chi' cost to hard hitting abilities - even at level 11 I've managed to identify an efficient rotation that hits hard and tops up my Chi enough to use the hard hitting abilities. The part I hate most about the rogue is how the hard hitting abilities were only really any good when you had maximum combo points on the target, but by the time you had accrued those, you were out of the requred energy! I've started levelling my Pala tank and prepped my Mage ready to start levelling, I just haven't had the time to get stuck in yet. Pandaria is beautiful though. My favourite part of expansions has always been the thrill of seeing the new terrain and artwork.

That was enlightening, thanks. Although having read the article, I am confirmed in the idea that my PIN is neither so common nor so uncommon as to be a risk, it doesn't fall into a 'common pattern' weakness and bucks pretty much all of the trends identified. Excellent.

Our WiFi SSID is Sim&Veq but I'm tempted to change it to 'Police Surveillance' or 'MI6OpsVan226' Currently I only have one server atm as a test environment and it's on my VMnet, so it's VMNETAD.VMNET.LOCAL, but when we FINALLY get the office decorated and I can unpack my hardware (we've had the house over a year and half my stuff is still in boxes) I might start calling them after places in WoW: Karazhan Stormwind Ironforge Darnassus Exodar Those are just the main cities - the possibilities are almost endless. I know. I'm sad.

There is no edit rule. You simply add the category to authentication exceptions, then edit the rule in your Guardian Web Filter policies. So the auth exceptions are configured in 2 locations - web proxy > auth > exceptions to tell the proxy to exclude categories from being authenticated, then the web filter policy whitelist to tell Guardian that those sites are allowed through without authentication.

Depends on your rules - does the page you're loading have dynamic content? Either way, if the TMG is upstream of the Smoothwall and you are seeing the TMG blockpage, this is a TMG configuration issue, not a smoothwall one.

You need to add the itunes category to web proxy > authentication > excecptions. Then edit that allow rule to be: Who : Unauthenticated IP's What : Itunes Where : Everywhere When : Always Action : Whitelist

Personally I don't think you can go far wrong with an LG if you can find one in the budget with the specs. Samsung TV's tend to have display issues indecently quickly (at least the ones our family have bought in the past have). Panasonic are a great brand and go on forever but pricy. Everyone in our family has an LG now and not a single complaint amongst them.

Are you sure about that? 20 years ago mobile phones were bricks and browsing the internet while on the train was the preserve of the secret service. E-ink displays are already here. The tablet format is evolving rapidly. I wouldn't be at all surprised if we don't bypass tablets with e-ink screens and move straight past and onto direct-to-retina displays at this rate. Or a pair of glasses with the text scrolling past your eyeball... Or a flexi-ink display that can be folded or rolled and tucked away in your bag... I wouldn't be at all surprised to see this stuff appear in the next 5 years or so. Although I suppose 'long way off' depends on your perspective. 'Long way off' in the tech world is 'next year' at the rate we're going...

Mandatory ads? No, I don't think so thanks. It's bad enough that I'm tight enough to only download free games for my android and tolerate the ads, but that is a choice. To PAY for a device AND have ads, what planet are they on?

I wanted to +Rep you for quoting and vid-linking Demolition Man (I love that film) but wasn't able to It just goes to show though that the IDEAS were around long before the technology was realistic. Now that it is, we laugh at it. 20 years ago an iPad on wheels would have been the corporate must-have. Actually, make that 30 years ago because I'm old and still think of the 90's when people say '10 years ago'. I still think it's an awesome idea. It's just a touch flawed and a bit idealistic in that it assumes people won't abuse or vandalise them. Having mobile teleconferencing is still pretty cool. Since the Tupac hologram was apparently such a success, I anticipate star-wars-esque holo-conferencing within the next 5 years. By anticipate, I mean 'fantasise about'. Or perhaps thats just the lightsabres.... I need a life.

I'll probably be flamed for it but I think that's AWESOME. If a little creepy... Also, it looks a bit silly... It's a brilliant concept but: 1) The people in the video live in an elegant and respectful world where people don't steal, break or vandalise things. Evidently. 2) The people in the video work in very understaffed companies with a MASSIVE floor-area-to-employee ratio, no crowded desks or cluttered floor area... I mean REALLY who has meetings on sofas? 3) The Double can't do stairs or call lifts. Although it can ride in lifts if someone accompanies it. I think it's a brilliant concept, but it puts me in mind of that dodgy Bruce Willis movie Surrogates (which I secretly really enjoyed) where people live their lives behind closed doors interacting with the world via robots...

I've been plagued by this. When we got our phone line fitted to the house I kept getting calls from 'Out of Area' (read: India). When they eventually got through to us he tried to scam me and when I told him I knew what he was doing and that he wouldn't scam me, the call became very threatening and abusive. He called me rude names and asked inappropriate questions and when I tried to hang up he'd keep the line open so I couldn't use the phone and would ring through and taunt me on the voicemail. He threatened to find me and rape me, he threated to call us at all hours of the night, it was horrible. I unplugged the phone and got onto Virgin immediately and ended up having our number changed. Mercifully they don't have our new number on their list.

Looking at that album it doesn't seem like a particularly rare pattern marking for a calico tbh. The eyes might be but that condition isn't very rare either. Either way, she's a striking animal but then I adore all cats (although the squashed face persians aren't my favourite).
