Cable management better be good, someone trips over a stray wire and there'll be some serious consequences! (assuming the solid-looking strain relief clips hold) -

If you think the name's bad, imagine what the toilets are like! -
Needed a clear out of my book shelves, so I threw out all the Inspector Wexford books along with other Rendell mysteries. I'm completely Ruthless.

Oh dear, thanks for the advice @elsiegee40. I've run out of mealworms now, think most of them were eaten by the young starlings. -

Just out of shot on the right are two water dishes. I'm also collecting some unwanted cat food from a friend this week. The hog has merrily munched his way through a load of mealworms from the bird food! Hopefully he'll be okay, both my neighbours are keeping an eye out. -

Man City smart scarf to track fans' emotional state during matches

Presumably, if you don't cheer at the correct point in a match, there will be a high voltage shock delivered to the neck? -
I've already been sent a picture of my "old office" where the newly-appointed IT manager is throwing stuff out...can't wait until he finds out he'll need it all someday!

Love the fact they've shortened the timings for some County Championship cricket today - start at 11, finish at 4.30! Great day to be on the fielding side...

Tablet management system
smurfomatic replied to smurfomatic's topic in Network and Classroom Management
Sorry, forgot that important piece of information! Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 -
In my new role, one of my first projects is to set up a management system for some tablets. This is the plan: There will be three classroom sets of 16 tablets. Each "class set" will be joining one of a few different sessions, each with its own profile. Those running the session will select this, e.g. Tablets 1-16 are doing "session A" from 10am to 11am today. Each profile will need to be locked down, so that only a given set of websites can be accessed - only half a dozen or so for each profile. Some may also neeed to access videos, but that can be solved by saving the videos on the cloud and linking to them. There will also ned to be a default "locked" profile, which is when the devices are not in use, which can't do anything. Does anyone use a system that does this? Mobile Guardian is what we're trying to use, but it doesn't really do everything we want (for example, although it'll filter to only a limited number of sites, there's no way to push out the bookmarks to every device using the profile).

Mmm...I'm getting hints of queueing, cups of tea, rainy summers and sporting disappointments -
What do you have selected under Products and Classifications?

Hunstanton - the cliffs are very distinctive, with the transition from red sandstone, to red chalk, to white chalk. Looks better when the sun is shining!

I was away for a few days recently, my smart meter said just over 1kWh per day while the house was empty - that will mostly be the fridge freezer

Thanks. Currently no link between Google and AD (still running Server 2012 on premises, this is being replaced with a 2022 server as part of the migration) but good to know it's at least feasible.

We are looking to migrate our current Google Workspace setup to MS 365 - not my choice, being forced upon us by the "big school" in our group, with no offer of any training... We want to retain Google for access to Classroom etc. during the transition, as well as keeping Google accounts for younger pupils. Will we be able to set up the 365 accounts through Azure AD to sync with the existing Google ones? So that staff (and older pupils) have a 365 account, which they sign into for emails, Office, Teams etc. but the domains are still registered to the Google Workspace.

With the end to isolation if testing positive, has anyone had conversations regarding the recommendation to test twice a week? -
It's an email from the rugby club, then you read further and it's exclusive "for season ticket holders" - so not just me

Just received an email entitled "Exclusive competition just for you" - that's great, if it's exclusive and just for me, I must have already won!
