  1. Have you turned on the Application Control option for AD Connect in the Exa Portal? It automatically opens/unblocks all the required URLs/ports etc for it to connect Steve
  2. How many days is a few? By default think the GAL only updates once every 48/72 hours And then if it’s stored in someone’s offline address book etc would take bit longer after the above has already sync’d as that’s local to client Then finally any autocomplete lists stored on user wouldn’t remove it automatically until their cache is cleared as that’s not pulling from GAL Steve
  3. Interesting! Yep that seems to the case on both sides - Turning condensed on does remove the duplicates, and never even noticed the little circles were different to titles! Only noticed the Stars which I assumed were Pinned Items (Too many items like that are hidden away haha) Steve
  4. Still getting multiple threads here too, example from this one: Regarding going to the last unread post, still seem to get pulled down to the bottom post even if there are more unread ones above it no matter what the last unread one is, example: Then I scroll up and there's more unread posts with the "new line" above the one it pulled me too: Steve
  5. Honestly I don't think it's so much "app vs website" as the issue, but just because the way the website formats things makes everything harder than previous even compared to the old mobile layouts (or more hidden at least) Just a quick example of a few issues I've found today (I fully appreciate some of these are my preferences but to give some examples of what's making it a bit more unfriendly): Missing Posts "Unread" Found out today I've missed lots of posts because the "Unread" posts only default to showing ones that you haven't read "since" last visit. Unlike previously where it'd show Unread posts until they're unread - In this example I visited Edugeek earlier today to view a specific issue and now can't see anything before that time even if it's unread. I found that's the default hidden in the filters for the Unread section: "Fluff" using spacing While I appreciate that a lot of the new features are nice to have they use a lot of real estate up in terms of reading posts and understanding what's actually been posted - The profile pics being oddly aligned take up the first chunk, then with the "replied to topic" etc lines can use another 2 lines of spacing up, adding in additional tags another few lines. Just felt more cleaner and easier to read when it was compact (forgive the quick photoshop but as an example, you'd end up with nearly double posts viewable and no real information lost): Condensed vs Expanded The Condensed View doesn't show enough information as no actual content to read, while the expanded has too much "fluff" that uses up spacing rather than real content again - Would be nice if it was more customisable as to what shows, or at least another middle option - Some text but without all the "extras": Font Sizes New Posts vs Replies show Font different sizes - No idea why but seems to be related as to whether it's a new post or reply, and just seems to make some shouty as such: Timing/Filters Some oddities seem to happen with filters/timings, despite the posts being in date order and being last 7 hours, randomly there's one from 5/6 days ago in the order - Unless there's some "hidden feature" regarding showing the original post that was replied to etc, but now that's 2/3 of the screen being used by one post: Lots more examples if you'd like some, obviously fully appreciate some of these are picky/preferences etc, but just makes it feel clunkier in the way it works. Steve
  6. I assume you've setup all the equivalent DKIM/DMARC/SPF records on SMTP2GO as per your main tenant? If not SMTP2GO defaults to adding it's own DKIM records which would then likely clash as it's showing different domains it's sending/receiving from Steve
  7. iSpy definitely would be nice The “activity” page doesn’t actually refresh and just shows there is new posts where as iSpy was nice to leave in background scrolling through Steve
  8. Default notifications could do with a tweak too. Even sigma quoting me above starts sending emails out rather than just notifying! looking at the notifications page in account settings anyone you follow gets an email everytime you post too Steve
  9. Not sure if it's something that's changeable, but the scaling of the topic names/forum names vs the recent/last threads seems very off on a large screen:
  10. ! Mine get off oddly I have the opposite Page 1 is mine, Page 2 yours! Steve
  11. Hope all goes well with it! I may have misunderstood the FAQ but did the 36-48 hours mentioned mean over this weekend (aka it's not happening)? Or is that planned during the week, so even if it goes down Sunday evening it'll then be another 48 hours? Steve
  12. The HPE 5400 (6/12 etc) has been replaced by the newer Aruba version I listed on page 1 so EOL won't be far down the road I'd expect Obviously have to balance the cheaper 5400 vs the longer support etc Steve
  13. None that I've seen allow individual Period writebacks (at least in terms of 3rd party items like that for SignIn etc) - Most can in terms of a full register/attendance as it works slightly different but that's two different routes it does it Steve
  14. Think it's worth pointing out that A3 EMS does "not" include M365 apps - It falls under the Office 365 A3 part of the full Microsoft A3 license which isn't in EMS only (https://m365maps.com/files/Microsoft-365-Education-A3.htm Blue vs Red boxes) The pre-paid subscription (M365 Apps for.) you had would normally have come free via your OVS/EES provider renewal, so would be worth dropping them a line, just in case they pressed a wrong button and cancelled it etc as had that happen before with other free licenses Steve
  15. What sort of devices/users size/budgets are you working towards in that? Might give a better indication to suggestions If you go apart from the MS side of things, most tools won't do all of that in 1 and will require a few options. For example RMMs for device management won't do OS deployments etc so you'd then be looking at InTune/AutoPilot or another 3rd party option for builds Patch Management etc there's things like Ivanti/PatchMyPc/PDQ but again will all be bigger bucks compared to the SCCM offering assuming this is school budgets rather than business Steve
  16. It was last posted on Tes as a Deputy Network Manager https://www.tes.com/jobs/vacancy/deputy-network-manager-surrey-1972921 at £32,625 - £36,021 per year So I'm guessing might have just been a copy/paste with the wrong/old pack from Ian as that advert attached seems to be the same as posted back in June 2022 here: https://www.tes.com/jobs/vacancy/assistant-network-manager-camberley-1639775 Steve
  17. Might want to check what "colour mode" is set, as we noticed on some LED projectors by default they don't run at top brightness to "improve fan noise etc" sometimes up to 25% loss in brightness on Standard modes Looking at the Viewsonic manual it looks like it has a "Brightest" colour mode available so might be worth testing that if you haven't already Steve
  18. Generally M365 version of office we found too much could be re-enabled so went back to older versions for Exams. We did start using ExamWritePad but after that was sold off and they bumped price we couldn't justify the price for only a handful of devices when the pricing doesn't scale with users. Steve
  19. Did you check the odd port one too? There was one specifically that needed a different port opening (Unless you're wildcarding it fully) The password changes are all linked to how they're checking the strength of passwords which fail if it's not unblocked Steve
  20. That's the same Wisdom that announced partner competitions with Bromcom? Shock horror with another new poster... sigh Steve
  21. Yet another pathetic move from a Bromcom… I’ll say it again from the last thread but if you need to sue companies and customers to win their custom maybe you need to look internally first! Based on this latest attempt surely Bromcom are now admitting that they shouldn’t have sued United as well? Surely you can’t blame both the customer who picked wrong if you’re then saying the vendor lied to be picked which caused the customer to pick them… next it’ll be sueing the frameworks for allowing customers and vendors to pick arbor! Steve
  22. Are you using ReFS? Gostev (Veeam) confirmed that MS have a bug that's affecting Veeam installs using it on 2025 (high CPU/RAM) and MS are working on a fix currently Steve
  23. Is that the file size or actual data? Normally doing a clean-up increases the actual file size as it's sorting data around but then you can do a SQL shrink on it as it ends up with whitespace free Steve
  24. If it’s purely DKIM it shouldn’t take long at all (in work time say 30 mins tops) then replication time for DNS etc but that’s just left overnight etc The only long bit is finding out who sends emails from your domain to add the record in (assuming that’s the mail chimp convo) Or do you mean full DMARC etc? Steve
  25. Think that depends on the what “type” of AI you’re after As in if this teachers want it to create homework type? The it’ll write my reports type? Etc There’s a fair few Microsoft talks on regarding using AInfrom their side, but pretty much every company has AI plastered around! Steve
