As above If you look at the tape in the specifications they have different widths with thinner on NI for network sockets etc: TZe-FX251 (24mm Black/White Flexible-ID 8m) | TZe-FX221 (9mm Black/White Flexible ID 8m) vs TZe-S651 (24mm Black/Yellow Strong Adhesive 8m) TZe-FX231 (12mm Black/White Flexible ID 8m) Steve

Internally Hosted Dropbox/OneDrive Solution
Steve21 replied to MatthewL's topic in Enterprise Software
If you wanted to remove the third party software aspect, couldn’t you just setup a schedule task with robo copy to mirror to that folder? Laptop/offline pc can have a domain password to connect to shared folder to access and copy files, while domain would have no access to said pc in opposite direction preventing any ransomware etc Just as an alternative thought train! Cons - Lots! Examples include: Lying support staff - Promise they'll ring back at a time with an update and never do. When we rang back to query this we get a different agent who completely tells us the opposite of what the first promised to do had been done. Ring back after this is missed again, and get a third story Account manager/"head support" - Make lots of promises, but none are ever completed. As again, no other schools have ever requested these Agent doesn't work properly, including proven bugs in it, and they just blame everything about our network from the wifi to 4g to devices to processes. Apparently 13th gen iphones/modern android, all have problems on our side Claim it's only ever our school that has these issues, put us in touch with one of their "golden schools" who confirm every issue we've raised, and Parago still claim they don't have any problems No-one who understands their own product. Raised issues with bugs in agent both windows/chromebook, no-one who seems to be able to replicate it or update the code, despite showing them proof multiple times Manual processes for most things, including having to continue to use a seperate spreadsheet as their system is so inflexible Reports break if you try to export too many items as they're still all based on old spreadsheets with limits etc. It doesn't reflect that when you run a report though and we only found this out after having all our reports incorrectly calculated Having to disable multiple things like the agents auto-move because we need to split IT and Site items separately as their system can't support them being in the same room if they're being audited by different teams as they automatically get moved to missing Different app required to audit items in a certain way, so now we have to use both the parago and facilities despite being IT only Android/iPhone app is different, with one requiring "a pause of unknown length between scanning" to make it work properly, and the other flagging warnings after every scan etc etc many more but you get the picture! See my previous thread http://www.edugeek.net/forums/enterprise-software/225470-parago-assets-useless-software-support-anyone-else-still-using.html from December, that we're still waiting for them to bother resolving, as they're still refusing that they have any problems. This is now getting on 2 years I've been here and we have yet to have much resolved at all Pros... Umm Still waiting to find one... Steve

Sadfully yes for assets, can't wait to get rid of it though! Steve

Few things that would be worth checking How old is your version of ODT (setup.exe) as often the old versions stop working with the download stage, and it needs updating before it'll run (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=49117) - If you're using an old one, just extract that download and replace setup.exe (then redistribute to DP) By default setup.exe will look into it's own folder for the install files, and not go to the internet (So you shouldn't get that error normally). Did you run the /download stage with setup.exe before deploying to SCCM? (If you did it after remember to redistribute package to update DP). It'll then download the base source files to the Office/data folder within your setup.exe location and it uses those for the base install But it could always be something as stupid as your system account doesn't have proxy access etc if you aren't using transparent, as it'd run as the service rather than a user (when running it manually). If you manually download the source files, and then edit your XML to use SourcePath with a UNC path, does that work? (Just as a test to see whether it's the actual application/XML config it's not liking via SCCM, or whether it's something like internet access as that'd exclude any internet queries Steve

Just tried it again and still works fine here: Are you literally just using /a on the shortcut? Steve
-
Should just need the /a on the end, tried with office365 outlook and works fine using that shortcut It’ll only work via explorer that way though, not other programs depending on what you’re trying to send Steve

Isn’t 10.1 for windows 11? Are you sure you have the Win10 adk? Don’t use MDT directly as SCCM, but wondering if its not compatible with the 11 version for what you need? Steve

If you mean comments as in the "per lesson" comments, you can get it if you scroll down the report to the blue attendance section and use that, but obviously it'll create a line per comment on the report rather than joining them all up. Example below, which is only 2 students (red/green) as each comment is a new line etc So obviously going to be a longgggggggg report Steve
-
We were told it’s vitally important to get it, wasted ages trying to bodge the cheap version to work properly, and ofc it’s never used After testing it though I found the M365 much better and it’s seems to learn better as you use it Steve

What’s shown in there under “Specify intranet…” As it’ll either be WSUS or SCCM server unless the client isn’t getting any settings at all Steve

Suspect email from Microsoft re unspecified "End of Support"
Steve21 replied to DavR's topic in Enterprise Software
Does the Microsoft email have a V- at the start? If so that’s their 3rd party sales team for external organisations Had a few of those previously Steve -
Not sure if that’s a specific 2022 thing, as when you said about doing in place upgrades in the NPS thread, upgrading smtp always wipes settings, you need to export and import after upgrade (Same with service start up it’s not automatic by default so needs changing after upgrade) May well be a 2022 issue too, but just worth checking as if it was just that it’s easy fix Steve
-
I’d still advise starting at the client end checking what’s applying to it If you run rsop.msc on the pc, and under the update settings (admin - components / windows update etc) it returns something other than SCCM server like an old wsus etc, nothing you do server side would fix that as domain GPO always overrides local settings The above would also effectively do the same as checking settings as you’ll see if it’s applying it to the client via rsop At least will narrow down where you need to check, as could be lots of places regarding SCCM, but might not even be SCCM related Steve

Snipe-IT - setup issues with database permissions
Steve21 replied to Bev's topic in Enterprise Software
The log should show the exact error rather than the generic check, which will narrow it down a lot as many places that could be But the most silly reason last year I've seen that is if you have a # in your password it breaks it Steve -
I may be missing the obvious, but why not just export as PDF without automate? Steve

If you have deployed your task sequence to unknown computers collection with the (pxe) then when you pxe boot them you’ll get into SCCM and have the option to install it from there Steve

Google Chrome version 101.0.4951.41 - home / start page issue

Just said above but was slow, they said a workaround is to modify the gpo url which seems to kick it back into play Might be worth a shot Steve -
Google Chrome version 101.0.4951.41 - home / start page issue
Steve21 replied to timbo343's topic in Enterprise Software
Reddit sysadmin reporting same thing: Not seen it here though so not sure if it’s only certain versions of their gpo files or what not (Note the workaround that says if you change url even back to same in gpo it seems to kick it back into play) Steve -
Remote desktop gateway / RDS access from domain PCs
Steve21 replied to foobs's topic in Windows Server 2019
Is there a specific error you get? First thing would be does the subdomain route internally on your dns? As if it’s not leaving site you’ll need the A record setting Steve
